Really cool bar that we came across in DTLA. Really loved the vibe, the art (artsy creative vibes) and the space. They had a great DJ and pretty good drinks. It was pretty chill and relaxed the night we went - not a ton of people however we walked by on a Friday night and it was packed and looked like a great time. I will definitely keep this place in mind next time I'm in LA.

Google
We had a great time the atmosphere was great, the music was amazing the server was a amazing. We were there hanging out on a Tuesday night Wednesday morning celebrating my wife's Birthday and the sever blessed our whole party with a free shot...I didn't drink mine because I was done drinking for the night. However it was much appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful welcoming time

Love the cocktails and ambiance here. Comfy seats, friendly people, romantic candlelight vibes, kinda similar to speakeasy but with jazzy live music, trendy/chic interior designs, and absolutely perfect for a date night! My date and I came here after our dinner at Joey’s across the street, and stayed until they closed (2AM on a Wednesday)! Had 2 drinks (gin sour and soho margarita) and they were pretty strong, but so refreshing! I wish they have desserts menu or light bites options to company the alcoholic beverages. Overalls, it was a fabulous experience to remember.

I came for a happy hour and had 2 amazing drinks for $8 each, one with mezcal and one with whiskey. The bar was half empty, I want to be back in a busier night, seems like Ana amazing place. As you enter you can smell something really pleasant, design is on point and the music is perfect - variety of genres and appropriate volume that is not too loud that you can’t hear a conversation but you can hear it well the entire time.

Google
This place is great bar in DTLA for locals, a chill vibe with classic movies playing on the wall. Bartenders are great and the drinks are pretty good, the good DTLA vibes all here. There’s only one bar but they’re pretty fast. Get “Fiesty one” for a martini or the flight of tequilas, the atmosphere is a dark and inviting vibe.

Google
We had a great time here last night! The young lady behind the bar made my fiancé a special sweet drink that she loved! They had a jazz band that was a great addition to the vibe. Will definitely be back on our next trip out here

Recently, I celebrated my birthday here. I had reserved a lounge section for 10, but when some friends bailed, I asked if we could move to a smaller section to which they agreed. Our server was incredibly helpful and answered all our questions. The atmosphere, DJ, music were all 👌🏾 My friends and I had a great night.

Google
Drink was delicious. Cool interior design. Bartender was kinda rude… I was curious about a drink and wanted to ask about the ingredients. He just rolled his eyes and said “what do you wanna drink?” I understand it’s Saturday night and they’re all busy but that really killed the mood😭Might still come back for the drink.

Yelp
First time here to this 1940s style lounge, and I am completely enamored with it. I love the vibe,, the lighting, the whole hospitable, inviting ambience. Gabriel the manager invited us in warmly and shared about the origins of this cool place. The music playlist was modern instrumental jazz which was perfect for a mellow Saturday evening. We were there from 6:15-8:15 so it was not crowded at all. Apparently, it gets really lively between 10 and 2. I appreciate that it's a place to relax, socialize, and enjoy craft cocktails. They also host shows such as live jazz on Tuesdays and burlesque shows on Wednesdays. Classic movies play on the wall with the sound off, but no news or sports (people should go to a sports bar for those types of entertainment). Martha the bartender expertly mixed us some incredible cocktails. The favorite of the night was called Mutual Respect. It was an extremely complex and well balanced work of art. Martha is a master of her craft. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
I've been here for my birthday three years in a row... and I ALWAYSSSS recommend this place to alllll my friends. Idk how I never left a review. Literally love it here the vibes are grown and sexy and the music is alwaysssss on point.... and the guy bartender with the pony tail is UHHHH-mazing he knows our drinks already and his service is always top tier! So today we ended up coming here after a birthday dinner with the girls. Well first round at the bar was great with our regular bartender. 2nd visit to the bar, he must've stepped away, there was a shorter light skin female bartender with aviator frames who clearly wasn't having a good night. When I was asking her for 1 shot and a tequila mixed drink, I was trying to tell her what the drink was... she said she couldn't hear me my friend told her to lean in... she asked if she was getting snippy, we were so confused??? She said " I'm not serving you two FUCK OFF" EXCUSEEEE ME???!!?? What the heck??? If I didnt come here regularly, or like the other bartender so much I would've been disrespectful. She even told HIM something when he came back to the bar.... Clearly she was having a bad night. He took my drink order and I asked him to close out... But really the vibes are never like this, SHE is not how shoo shoo baby is, bc that was so freaking ugly. Totally ruined our night, and the vibe. Hopefully she doesn't have to many of these nights, bc this is NOT that. I'll have to make sure to update next time we are back... if that happens bc as an all girl group tonight... being spoken like that By another girl was 1000x worse!

Yelp
Shoo Shoo baby is a cute bar for those who are in their early 30s and up. Its very clean, spacious enough to have seating for everyone in your party and the music is very tasteful. The bathrooms are clean and I did not have to wait in line to use it throughout the night. It's very photo-worthy and a great venue to host for some sort of celebration. I am not sure if they serve food but the cocktails here are made with passion and are truly a craft. I recommend trying the whiskey sour, they make a tart one which I love. Note: They switch up themes nightly so be sure to check ahead to ensure it's a playlist that is your vibe.

Yelp
Ambiance: it's a trendy lounge located in DTLA, high ceilings, deep and spacious inside with a few sections of seating area with cozy chairs and sofa seats, good for large group hangouts, post WWII inspired cool vibes, they don't really serve food here, although you can bring in your own Service: super friendly and knowledgeable staff, professional bar tenders knowing what they're doing Drink: menu for both classic and creative drinks SHE'S A PEACH - **** old 49 vodka, peach, hibiscus, ginger, lemon, orange bitters, easy to drink, fruity taste, recommend MARGO #5 - **** hornitos plata tequila infused with cucumber, select aperitivo, elderflower liqueur, lime, refreshing taste, recommend Price: their drinks are generally in decent quality and totally worth the price, expect $15~$20 per drink for cocktails

Yelp
Been here a couple of times. DJs are typically pretty good. Drinks are solid. I haven't tried the food here so can't speak on that. Diverse crowd of varying ages. Definitely a good spot for people in their late 20s and 30s.

David P.

Yelp
Excellent cocktails. It's been a while since I genuinely enjoyed drinks at a bar. Came in for 1 round of drinks, but ended up getting 2 rounds.

Yelp
I love the fact that you can bring outside food in and sit where you want to sit. The atmosphere is chill and the vibe is always right. The people there are always in a good mood.

Yelp
Great music! Cute place! Never had food here but the drinks are 3/5! Service is cool 3/5 Super cool spot to have a drank and hop on to the next spot!

Yelp
Love me some Shoo Shoo Baby!! I've been coming here for years and that's why I decided to have my birthday celebration here in August 24'. The reservation was for 12 people, and everyone had an amazing time! From what I remember lol The drinks are pretty good but the music is even better. The bar itself has a good ambiance but when you add good drinks and good music, you're bound to have a great time. The only downside of the night was the AC wasn't working so we were sweating like crazy which made some of my guest a little uncomfortable They had fans but it didn't help much. Regardless, my friends had a great time. They are now frequenting the bar themselves which I love because that's how you know I chose a good spot

Yelp
This review is for a few weeks ago but definitely needed. I decided to come here after work with my coworker Russell for a few drinks after work. The music was great the ambiance was really dope. I love the vibes in here. The DJ was on point the entire night! The waitress that served us was really nice!
google avatar

Monica G.

Yelp
Super cute bar! Definitely recommend if you want a drink to catch up with a friend or just enjoy a drink on your own. I definitely will come here again. The servers are super welcoming and we were able to pick our own seats.

Yelp
Went to DTLA for dinner and wanted to stop and have a nightcap somewhere. Luckily yelp helped me get again and found this super cool bar. My friend didn't know what she wanted to drink so she had the bartender surprise her and he made her a special peach martini which was delicious. The bartender's were super cool and knowledgeable. I was made a drink with a lime cordial which was homemade! How cool is that ! It was a quiet night in the bar tho must be because everyone is Coachella. It's really dark and moody which set a great ambiance. I mentioned I worked in a restaurant and even got an industry discount ! If you're looking for great cocktails look no further.
google avatar

Yelp
This place was on our list since it was described as being a speakeasy. I don't know if I would say it is though - it has the decor and the vibe but it's missing the intimate aspect of a speakeasy. Went here on a Thursday night (12/19) and it wasn't crowded. Plenty of seating available. Friendly staff and good drinks. Would come back again but on a different night.

Yelp
I went with a colleague after work on a Friday evening. The ambiance and drinks were immaculate! The bartender, Fernando, took the time out of his day to teach me about how to pair and drink gin. I'm more of a tequila drinker, and he also made incredible mezcal cocktails. I wish I had enough words to describe how amazing of a place this is. I'm definitely going back there again and taking all my friends and family so that they can experience this place as well. I'm absolutely sure all the bartenders are great, but if you find Fernando, ask him for recommendations. You won't be disappointed!

Akami T.

Yelp
I went for HH and had the CATALINA CRUISER. It was a great drink. The bartenders were great and nice. I wish I remembered their names. There was a issue with the cost but the fixed it quickly

Anttoni L.

Yelp
When here with some friends, they were doing a burlesque show it was amazing. Our waitress was amazing and beautiful. The drinks were great. The ambience was beautiful. We had finger foods which was really great.
google avatar

Gloria U.

Yelp
The waitress was not well versed on the available rums. Additionally, the options were mediocre to say the least. Didn't even have well known rums or tequilas. The worst part was the bouncer used overly aggressive behavior towards an intoxicated person that was not called for. He literally kicked him twice in the head , instead of just pushing him out. Although the establishment might believe my perspective may be "limited" it is still a fact that the two kicks to the head occurred and were uncalled for. Bartender was rude and not able to show me my bill without signing first according to him. Definitely not coming here again.
google avatar

Sahar R.

Yelp
An incredibly beautiful ambiance. Went with a friend and we realized this would be the perfect place to bring a group to just chat with and mingle. Dark light setting (my preference) and live jazz music made this place such a lovely time. Only con is the cool breeze making the setting kinda chilly, so check the weather before going! Super clean restrooms :)

Yelp
I came here last Friday night on a whim. The energy was really high. The crowd was between their 30s-40s. The DJ was playing hits from the 80s to current. The bar was pretty full, but there was a good amount of seating. I ordered the jungle bird, but I was not impressed. There was a strong flavor that didn't agree with my tastebuds. Overall, I was very pleased coming here. I would definitely come back, but would order something else next time.

Cleo C.

Yelp
I was appalled when the security guard at this bar asked my best friend to stop kissing her girlfriend. He approached our table and asked them to tone it down. My friends were not drunk or causing any scene, the fact that they were asked to leave the bar was homophobic. That being said, this bar was our third choice of the night after a series of closed bars we ended up here and I wish we hadn't. A bar that doesn't support queerness is a bar that should not be visited. If I could give 0 stars on this app I would.

Yelp
Top 5 for my favorite bars in downtown. The music is always poppin on weekends and the vibes are just right. Not too loud, crowded or dark. Drinks are strong, refined and delicious! Order at the bar but seating is usually open :) Door peeps are friendly and helpful

Preston T.

Yelp
Excellent bar! Very very cool staff and Marc the manager is the coolest! I had some good laughs last night and felt very welcome, the ambience is gorgeous with high ceilings and fancy lights, the DJ was rad, and the cocktails are to die for. This would. great date night spot too!
google avatar

Victoria R.

Yelp
This place has extraordinary cocktails! They do not have too much food but you can bring tacos from the outside in. We went and the service was pretty quick considering it was very busy! I recommend if you like pickles trying a pickle back made with their own juice! They also had a burlesque performance when I went as well. This place is dimly lit and perfect for a girls night or date night experience!

Yelp
Seriously such a dope spot, I'll have to come hang out again soon. A good place to grab drinks and just hang out. It's a small place but it gets lively and overall provides a fun venue for after-work drinks, a date, or a place to dance. There was a DJ, he was playing a good mix of music, some hip-hop, reggaeton, old school R&B. The crowd was fun and welcoming, no pretentiousness. I didn't try the drinks, we only had wine, but the drinks looked good. Highly recommend for a fun sexy date night although it can get a little loud for conversation. Staff was friendly, helpful and attentive, there was bar height table seating and some couches that people were lounging on. Small dance floor but enough room to dance without feeling cramped.

Yelp
Cozy & comfy World War II themed dive bar. Must have 21+ ID to enter. Live Jazz band on Tuesdays, Burlesque entertainment on Wednesdays, Live DJ on Friday - Saturday. Live Cumbia band on Sundays. Security on site.

Yelp
Without even trying, this bar is a speak easy lol! I've walked 7th street numerous times and have never noticed Shoo Shoo Baby! I went there for the first time the other night and really enjoyed myself. This was on a random weekday so I can't speak much on the music or burlesque shows they've advertised, but even without that, I'd come back! The drinks were made perfectly and the team there was extremely accommodating - shout out to Gabriel and Tristan! I really admired the interior design and appreciated the amount of space there was! Plenty to seating and standing room. The location wasn't my favorite as its close to the Metro entrance so just be mindful walking around, otherwise, enjoy yourself! This place is great.

Danielle C.

Yelp
Love this spot - it's been a regular spot for the last five years. Shout-out to Kyle, Fernando, Martha, and the rest of the crew here. Great music, yummy drinks, and a fun vibe always.

Yelp
Hidden in DTLA, this fun little bar is a great place to meet up with friends after work and that's exactly what I did. My Eastside Drunken Knitters meetup stopped by to stitch and bitch while enjoying their happy hour special. The decor is very classy and the crowd was mellow enough for us to maintain a conversation without shouting. There was a DJ playing some R&B and hip hop which put a nice bounce to the evening. The bartender was friendly and attentive and obviously had some regulars that he was chatting with between orders. The food selection is limited, but they seem to be open to you bringing and ordering food to the bar. There were also two food trucks parked right outside.

Yelp
The drinks and bar are pretty cool, only complaint is the dj, played boring music no energy music. Other than that cool spot to chill.

Yelp
We came to our favorite local bar to have some drinks for our friends birthday 5/31. It was really sad to see such a level of hostility at this place that my friends and I love coming to for the good music and fun live performances. I believe there must be a new manager because this man was huffing and puffing all over the place, yelling at staff. It was very obvious he was frustrated and frankly if that's the energy you're setting for your team maybe there's some work that needs to be done on their end. I definitely feel management is going to set the tone for not only staff, but customers as well. It was really unfortunate to see this place (which we love by the way) operate the way it did Saturday night. I hope there can be some self reflection, and improvements made. It cost nothing to be kind. And I think everyone despite what level they work at should be spoken to with respect as well as customers. Please do better!
google avatar

Yelp
Piss n vinegar was very good here. $8 at happy hour until 8 pm. I saw a sign out front for burlesque night but didn't stay until then. It's right in front of the metro train station. It has great vibes. I will be back

Yelp
Vibes= 100% Music =100% Drinks =100% Dancing =100% AC=0% (it was SO hot! BYOF (bring your own fan lol)

Yelp
I would like to shoo shoo this homophobic bar away. Two weeks ago my friends and I came to this bar out of convenience of the few options in the area. My friend and her girlfriend were just minding their business having a good time after we left. I then found out that they were asked to leave and had been recorded by a patron. My friends were not drunk, they had two drinks. They were not being loud, not obnoxious. Before they were asked to leave, they were asked to stop kissing and to "tone it down". We will not "tone down" our queerness, we will just avoid your disgusting homophobic bar. Since when is a casual single kiss not allowed in a bar? Boycott this place!

Yelp
Thursday Night 3/23/2023 [first time here] Will be coming back Getting a drink: - Fast service - Great drinks it was easy and I didn't have to wait long. Fish, one of the bartenders there was great. When giving me water, he held the glass at the bottom. The other bartender handed me a glass touching the rim of the glass. The alcohol ratio in the drinks were great. Not too little that you can't taste it & not too much that it's overpowering. Music: - good variety: pop, R&B, Latin, current There was a dj playing music. The music was good. There were times where it died down and people stopped dancing. He played some Latino songs, 2000s hits pop and R&B, and recent hits. There were also good times where he was playing bop after bop, closer to the end of the night. You can there is space to dance right in front of the dj. Space: - Lots of lounging spots with small tables - Bathroom is big (for the ladies @ least) There was so much space to just lounge and sit. Most people are closer to the bar. In the back it's darker, has bench seating, and tables for your drinks. At the end of it the night there was a hot dog truck outside. As a woman alone, I felt safe and there was a guard at the door.

Yelp
A good bar to hit up in DTLA! They have Happy Hour Monday thru Friday from 5-8 pm. The vibe is pretty cool and they serve food as well. We came here for some cocktails and they were pretty good. Simple and strong with friendly service. I tried the Miss Behavin' and Clovis. Between the two, I liked the Clovis better! Overall, a fun place to check out while in Downtown Los Angeles!

Yang K.

Yelp
one of my favorite bars in LA! got to celebrate my birthday party here and the manager/staff was very accommodating to my large party! also, very friendly and sweet. i love all the djs that they bring in and would recommend this as one of my top places to go for a night out :) thank you for a memorable bday experience!

Abby S.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I were enjoying a nice drink here minding our business (in the very empty bar). We were celebrating our anniversary sharing a few kisses on our special night when the bouncer approached us and told us that we needed to "tone it down". This felt like a polite way of asking us to leave the bar & honestly an attack on our queerness. We've always viewed bars in LA as safe spaces but clearly this is not one of those spaces. Just a heads up to other queer visitors, this may not be a space for us. (Drinks were expensive & the vibe was strange)
google avatar

Karina I.

Yelp
Great drinks and the vibe in this place is super chill It's a great place to relax and hangout with your friends.

Hovii B.

Yelp
Jazzy was amazing. Drinks were great will be stopping by again. Thank you for the amazing customer service
google avatar

Marlene M.

Yelp
I went there last week with my friends after work and I really enjoyed the live jazz music that they had. The bar had a nice and intimate atmosphere which would also be nice for a date night. They didn't have any food at the time we went not sure if they do at all though? Hmmm The bartenders that tended to us were very nice as well. I enjoyed a non-alcoholic drink called a "Rose Mint Fizz" I just wish it were in a better location :( The parking structure we had to park in was about two blocks away- which isn't very long and very doable but, downtown has gotten even more sketchy over the years. So, it was hard not to feel like I had to constantly watch my back. Overall, it was a great place to go unwind after work with my gal pals :)
google avatar

Celine C.

Yelp
My HH buddy made reservations and we were instantly seated upon arrival in one of the booth. We only ordered drinks. I got two drinks: Happy Hipster and Croix Me a River. I love carbonated drinks, so I always opt for ones with soda water or sparkling wine. The Happy Hipster tasted interesting and reminded me of Asian plum juice for whatever reason. It was definitely an acquired taste that started tasting better after multiple sips. Croix Me a River was basically a standard Moscow Mule, so not much feedback on this one. Overall, a decent bar that's conveniently located in the DTLA neighborhood.
google avatar

Angelica L.

Yelp
Overall: 3.4/5 This place has great music, hospitality, & vibes but horrible drinks. We've been here on 2 separate occasions, as a group and as a couple, on a Friday night and both experiences were so different. When we came as a group, it was lit. The music was amazing and everyone was dancing. They must change their cocktail menu often because it was different, and we came 1.5 months apart. The drink I got had a strong cucumber taste. The drink my husband got (either tequila or mezcal base) was okay. The second time we came by ourselves, the music was good but the dj wasn't engaging. Nobody danced and it was a slow night for them. Miss Behavin' ($15): The waitress recommended this drink and it was actually good! Happy Hipster ($16): This was downright nasty, and I kept thinking it tasted like goat milk (don't ask me why). I don't think they mixed it either but we couldn't drink it so we got creative and poured some water into it which made it drinkable since we didn't want to waste. We had to wash it down with the other drink or water every time we took a sip of this.
google avatar

Silke M.

Yelp
My husband and I love this place and it's always a stop when we are visiting L.A. from San Diego. Celebrated my birthday yesterday and the DJ was awesome! Nice mix of Genres and great transitions even with the occasional Christmas songs like "Last Christmas" and of course Mariah Carrie but he did it soooo well and the dance floor was popping. Great attentive service. Good drinks. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Angel A.

Yelp
Went here for the first time to celebrate a friend's birthday! It was a good vibe with all the old school jams playing. Would go again!
google avatar

Sherrilyn H.

Yelp
The guy with the pink hair was literally so rude accused us of walking away when my friends and I were right in front never even turned around to give those drinks to us. We were waiting for so long while he was just dancing and when my friend reminded him he said "okay!!?" as if we were stupid. Horrible attitude so disappointed ....

Yelp
Cocktail bar in DTLA, walking distance from many of the best restaurants in the area. I expected the ambiance to have more of a vintage feel, but it was quite modern and generic, albeit attractive. The place is huge, with lots of seating and standing room, suitable for large groups. My fiancé and I stopped in for a pre-dinner cocktail on a Wednesday, and were the only ones there. Garnished with a pansy, The Miss Behavin' was as beautiful as it was delicious. Cucumber and strawberry infused tequila, rose water, and lime created a drink that was complex in flavor, without being cloying or overly sweet. The Feisty One was less impressive. Featuring white rum, Amaro, and Bailey's, it tasted like extremely boozy melted ice cream. I drank it, but would not order it again. Our bartender was genuinely friendly. Not a bad experience overall, but I am unsure if we will come back.

Yelp
Shoo Shoo baby is an amazing Vibe and the staff is amaaaaaazing the manager Fisher was super cool and Marsha I think it was behind the beautiful bar was super welcoming. Cool vibes all around!!!!
