All of Shop Amrapali's products are handcrafted in India, and carefully selected and curated by Sushmita Poddar, the owner. Almost all of my current Indian clothes and jewelry are from Amrapali and they are meant to last a lifetime! Some of my bridal jewelry was also from Amrapali and made me look like a princess! If you are looking to support local Indian artisans and the Indian community in Hillsboro, shop at Amrapali! 100% recommend!

Went inside once, when I was newer to the area (years ago). It was really surprising how different the outside felt from the inside - the outside is like a warehouse parking lot and the inside was this cozy little boutique. The owner was present and she was nice.

If you’re looking for someone to do your eyebrows RIGHT this is the PLACE! I’ve been going here since 6th grade and I’m 21 I will NEVER go anywhere else. Not only is Sushmita the nicest most kindest person to ever walk this planet she will do your eyebrows JUSTICE! I’m telling yall you need to get your eyebrows threaded here.

Sushmita, the owner, has lovely taste and curates all clothing and items in her shop from her travels and connections afar in India. Ethically sourced and often custom made, Amrapali has a wide variety of products that will appeal to those who are pursuing a rare combination of an off-the-beaten-path couture with authentic Indian flair and aesthetic. Prices are not inexpensive necessarily, nor should they be for the due diligence in the curation process. The boutique is cozy and the staff is warm and accommodating. Definitely worth checking out if you desire Indian couture and accessories. It's a local business, and definitely worthy of support and patronage.

This store is the best! Not knowing much about Indian culture or attire, Sushmita helped me find the perfect outfit to wear for my first Diwali. We had a blast with me trying on outfits and her giggling as I stumbled through the process. She and this store are worth supporting!

This shop, Amrapali, is a wonderland of eye candy for cultural products. Sushmita is an awesome shop owner and designer, ready and willing to assist and support your desired purchases.

I had such an enjoyable experience at Amrapali Boutique! I wear plus sizes and finding clothes that are comfortable and fit well - in Indian or American styles - is such a challenge. The selection at Amrapali is amazing, as is the quality. I had such a fun time chatting with Sushmita, who was friendly and helpful and answered all my questions, and was funny too! You don't get that kind of shopping experience at department stores. I'll definitely be back!

Incredible! I cannot express how truly special this place is. Wonderfully kind owner, she took so much time with us and came through in a pinch -- CLUTCH. On the fourth of July. She is a saint.

Yelp
My friend bought me a dress from here for deepavali. Obviously he asked if I could exchange for something else if I did not like the color to which she agreed. As there is no concept of gift receipt in indian stores. It was a saturday and tuesday I went in to look for something else and she said pretty much I can only get the other color of the same dress which was also not very good. So I ended up returning with the one he got and I hate the style and color. So good luck for anyone who is trying to buy here and waste money. I told my friend to never return there. Lost a customer. This was a little more than 350 dollars!!!!!!!

Yelp
Sushmita is a wonderful saleswoman with a shop full of lovely treasures. I visited because my son is getting married in India next month and I needed to buy clothing, shoes, and jewelry for my 2 week Indian adventure. Sushmita spent several hours outfitting me from top to bottom. She explained the kinds of clothing I would need for the wedding and also for the travel-around-southern-India portions of my trip. I bought a variety of items: both cotton and silk clothing, shoes, jewelry. Sushmita was honest about what did and didn't look good on me, and I appreciated all her advice. The store is filled with gorgeous things. It was a visual rainbow of color and texture. Like a candy store for body goods. Wonderful business.

Yelp
This is a hidden treasure in Portland.. I don't know why there are not enough reviews for this place.. She has a good collection of clothes and accessories! Her prices, I would say is reasonable for an Indian place in the US.. I also did threading with her.. She is good... Really good! I would certainly be doing threading hereafter only with her! I am so glad I found this place

Yelp
The shop owner was so kind! She personally selects her items & curates the shop. I am glad to support a small business with such charm and a business owner with such intentionality for her merchandise.

Yelp
This place is a little hole in the wall but it's very you walk in it's absolutely gorgeous! The lady who helped me was super nice and very helpful. A lot of stuff in the store is on sale too which was pretty awesome. I'll be coming back again!

Yelp
I got my eyebrows done here for $9. I can tell you one thing in short brief and sweet: I AM NEVER GOING BACK HERE AGAIN! She kept bragging about how she growed her brows for so many years and how she does not like to make ppls eyes brows thin -- but she did the exact opposite me. She know how to sell her business -- smart and sweet talking -- but failed delivery. Please do not go here unless you want to get ur brows ruined by a person who claims that "oh I can look at an eyebrow from far far away and tell you how I can fix it" or that "nobody in the whole town does as good as I can"! I mean really?!??!? Not happening again with all respect. Id rather go pay a little more then have them messed up by her again. Thanks!

Yelp
Very cute shop! We had a last-minute birthday party for a client, and the shop came through in the nick of time to provide a lot of gorgeous and affordable bangle sets for party favors; also guests who didn't own saris were able to go in that day so everyone could join in the Bollywood-themed party. It's tucked away in an industrial park in Hillsboro but don't let that put you off, the shop is filled with so many gifts, carvings, jewelry, and clothes to choose from.

Yelp
As another reviewer noted, Amrapali is located in an industrial park but the shop is full of quality clothing, accessories, home goods, etc. I was pleasantly surprised by the range of selection and carefully curated pieces. 4 stars only because of price. That said, while the owner is a businesswoman she is also very helpful and friendly -- much better customer service than I have received at other Indian fashion shops and I was happy to bring my business here.
