"Shopping while sightseeing San Antonio style San Antonio's Rivercenter Mall has all the hallmarks of a normal American shopping mall: a food court, a Victoria's Secret, a Gap, a movie theater and a collection of department stores. It also happens to be built around a century old church and along the city's famous River Walk, making it a convenient and unique place to pick up souvenirs."

Nice day to walk and discover new things. Also the Riverwalk boat tour was great. Captain Michael, in the military boat, was very considering and knowledgeable. Fun tour! Nice place overall!

Located on River Walk in downtown San Antonio, Rivercenter features more than 100 retailers including 14 restaurants, IMAX, AMC Theatres, and the Marriott Hotel. It opened in 1988 as Rivercenter Mall. You can purchase boat tour tickets here, board the boats as well as get snacks and beverages to take with you on the tour. It's a good place to start your River Walk visit, even if you do it by foot.

Google
Excellent shopping experience at Rivercenter! The variety of stores is incredible, with options for all tastes and budgets. I found some amazing deals on clothes and accessories, and the sales staff were friendly and helpful. The mall is well-organized and easy to navigate, with plenty of dining options to take a break and refuel. Plus, the location is great, close to the River Walk and other San Antonio tourist attractions. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city, whether you're looking for a unique gift, a new outfit, or just want to spend the day shopping and relaxing. Overall, Rivercenter is a must-visit destination in San Antonio!

Google
It was so so pretty and nice to walk around in but the bathrooms are hard to locate and there wasn't much special regarding the shops. The activities inside are nice!

Google
Great restaurants and bars along the Riverwalk. But the smell isn't the greatest from the water. Also, a lot of drunks late at night. Be mindful of your surroundings.

Google
Great location! I really liked that Rivercenter Mall is different from the usual shopping centers — it has a unique atmosphere and a beautiful view. It was so nice to sit by the river and enjoy a drink.

Google
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Food options are limited, especially if you have food allergies or restrictions. The drinks aren’t always as spectacular as the pictures on the menu..

Vaidehi Patel

Google
Lively location with food options by the canal. You can also do a boat ride. Better to visit around evening for lights, live music and a dining experience by the water. $5 parking around the area.

Yelp
The Shops at Rivercenter is the mall in downtown San Antonio, TX. My girls and I stayed in the area May 25-27, 2025, so we either shopped at the very few stores here or passed through here to get to the River Walk or a restaurant on the other side. The coolest thing was the River Walk's proximity. Other than that, I was disappointed in this mall. Lots of typical stores you can find anywhere else. There was this woman at what we know now was a kiosk (not just a simple info counter) that was mostly friendly but a bit on the pushy side with her "$40 tourism deal with Hyatt." We didn't even want help as we were looking at the map across from her, but she asked if we needed directions... Several parking garages in the area.

Yelp
Not the best tourist hub. As much as I love the River, the Shops themselves have always been a little disappointing. While there are a few touristy businesses interspersed throughout the mall, a lot of the businesses are restaurants or chains you can find everywhere. Inside is just a regular more lackluster mall. Outside it has the River to lend itself and make it look more interesting: there will be massive seasonal decor set up in the plaza when the heat won't melt everything, local bands sometimes playing, and River taxis shuttling tourists through so they can see the sights, making things seem a lot more busy and festive than it truly is. You can skip the Shops and not miss anything. There's so much to see elsewhere downtown, so don't take up too much of your time here if you decide to visit!

Yelp
Went back for a second time . Y'all this place so big with many stair cases and floors I felt like a hamster in a cage ... a lot of places but not many places to shop . Lot of weird stuff time shares , hotel attached . I didn't care much for it
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
I come here to park in the garage and walk around the Riverwalk. I like parking in garages since this Texas heat is a scorcher. I'm sure there are plenty of garages that may be cheaper, but this one has always been my go to. This mall does have things to keep the littles busy and the fact it has different things to offer is a plus! An aquarium, Legoland , dinosaur exhibit etc. I like that it also has restaurants inside, because the thought of having to walk or drive somewhere else did not sound fun.

Yelp
Urban malls are odd but do still exist. Especially ones in major downtown areas that are still trying to hold onto them as an anchor for a neighborhood. This particular mall was odd. It had a good number of stores, but they were mix matched stores that felt disconnected from on another. That and most of them had entrances directly to the outside that really made it feel that you didn't have to walk into the mall at all. Unless you wanted to take in a movie. The mix of the stores, as I have said were disconnected, but on more than one level. Restaurants across the empty hallway from a kid's play place. H&M feeling like it was an island unto itself. It was just odd. Plus this place was massive. It took up the whole city block and then some. With it being so close to other prominent locations, you would think this place would be packed and busy.

Yelp
Last visited: Dec' 23, two days after X-Mas. The River Walk is like a waking dream, it is well architected and designed I will have to say. Especially if you visit around Christmas time. The lights and backlighting around the overhanging trees is simply a sight to behold. Well done. The sheer amount of choice of restaurants and venues around the Rivercenter, is simply unbelievable. I did not walk the whole of the board walk to see all the shops as I ran out of time, but what impressed me is how many shops they have here, of so many different types of food, ice cream, and other stuff for sale. However. There are a few points that prohibit this from being a five-star experience. - The people and rather passerby here are unkind to me and to others in general. They are too wrapped up in their world to care about anyone else. - At the time we came, around 9pm, most shops were closing and quoted a wait time of over an hour, sometimes an hour and half of wait. We had to choose one restaurant which had a reasonable wait time, but it is unfortunate that we were limited in selection of place to eat dinner at, so am rating down for the minus in experience. All in all, there are a remarkable amount of selection in shops at the river center or rather river walk area in San Antonio (SA/TX), however oft times shops are busy and the selection will actually be severely limited. Also, the people here are unkind to others and need to loosen up. However, I'll give that a pass as the river walk and boat tour itself is mildly interesting and worth it at the least.

Yelp
i literally never write yelp reviews but love the shop but the women's bathroom on the ground level were absolutely horrendous. there needs to be more hourly maintenance checks on it. majority of the toilets were clogged with poop, no toilet liners in NONE of the stalls, there was literal piss on the floor that made me gag because it soaked my pants legs. PLEASE DO BETTER

Yelp
This review is for one of the stores in that place called Kool Stuff the owner is a scammer who sells all of the items in the store double the price to scam people to buy them The story: Me and some friends decided to go to the mall to hangout we where looking at all the different stores until we went to the Kool stuff in which all of the items where highly over priced 30 bucks for a funko pop.I noticed that they had a lady Deadpool funko pop ofc it was 30 bucks so I didn't get it my friend ended up getting these two sonic funkos from him that my other friend paid for we then decided to go to the GameStop and look at some stuff down there I then noticed the same lady Deadpool funko but it was only 12 or 14 bucks I went to buy it and told the cashier about the whole situation and he told us that they are scammers that buy items from the GameStop and go to sell it at there store for higher price I recommend anyone going here to not support this business but I can't really tell y'all what to do Y'all have an amazing day !

Yelp
I've never left a review for a shopping center, but something needs to be said. Who handles the marketing of this building and decided that after walking all day around the Riverwalk, what husbands really want to do is stand around for another couple of hours while their wives shop? You got 10,000 customers at a time and 5 benches in the building? Brilliant. I'm writing this while contemplating hard about sitting on a potted plant. Thanks.
google avatar

Yelp
I didn't check in here because I was stunned at the lack of stores in this prime location. The only stores I recognized were H&M and Victoria's Secret. The rest of the stores are selling knickknacks and junk. Lots of vendors in the center of the walkways, trying to ply their wares to passersby's. The only positive about the shops at Rivercenter is the fact that you're sheltered from the blazing sun. They need some major renovation and new stores in here, otherwise I'm assuming it's going to close down.
google avatar

Nicole E.

Yelp
Parking garages all around, but easier to walk to it, if you aren't to far from it. By the Alamo plaza and the Riverwalk and across from the Marriott It is only a couple of blocks from the Alamo and right by the big red metal art statue off Commerce and the Alamo.
google avatar

Yelp
What has happened to the Rivercenter Mall? My San Antonio family has not been there for years - since they quit giving San Antonio residents two hours free parking. We loved going to Tony Romas, Barneys Coffee, Dillards with their great tony Western Wear Collection. The artisan fudge shop - all gone. Now you'll pay $5 per hour to park. The mall is full of vendor carts whose operators desperately accost you to examine the cheap trinkets they're tasked with peddling. Walking into the mall from outside you'll see the windows and doors haven't been cleaned for weeks - no San Antonio pride here. There is absolutely nothing "San Antonio" about this establishment. To those visiting from out of town, please don't judge us by what you see here. We really are better than this!
google avatar

Donyiel C.

Yelp
Not a huge "mall," but there were some options for shopping, dining and entertainment. Located by the Riverwalk and not too far from the Alamo. Didn't look like there is much parking - unless there was a garage. I stayed at a nearby hotel so I just walked over. I wasn't looking for anything in particular. I visited the H&M - it was actually clean and organized. I picked up a few things. I noticed there was a movie theater here and I'm guessing folks were headed to see the Barbie movie. I did see alot of pink outfits. You can take a river cruise from here!
google avatar

Chloe B.

Yelp
So many options for stores, movie theater, and restaurants. But boy oh boy super crowded. It's the Riverwalk shops and close to the Alamo. Parking unless you go into the right garage, is super duper expensive. Of course, I myself was a tourist but jeez, all the traps. It is a nice place to cool off a bit from the heat but a lot of the restaurants are open air. It's a big ol shopping center, what else can I say?
google avatar

Page G.

Yelp
If you have to take a massive poop later at night DO NOT use their "big bathrooms". Their janitorial staff flipped out because I wasn't finished pooping and I couldn't stop pooping when they asked. Another custodian called an ambulance without needing one, completely disregarding my consent to initiate that escalation. Their male staff entered the bathroom while I was still using the bathroom during the confrontation. They spoke to my mom rudely and I was forced to make myself finish so that I could leave. I was honestly scared that I'd poop on their floors. Other than having a cool river boat experience (I didn't get to go on, because I was pooping) there's absolutely nothing even remotely worth going to this mall for, especially if they push patrons to the point that they have to yell and cuss in the middle of pooping.
google avatar

Fenise P.

Yelp
First time shopping here, the restrooms were clean, wide variety of stores to choose from. Next time I am in town I will have to stop by.

Juan J.

Yelp
For all of the bad reviews, I didn't agree. Give this place a second shot. Was overall a good experience for me and my family.
google avatar

Yelp
Really great collection of shops! One crystal-y store with some natural made garments & new age stuff A western tshirt/clothing store with a selection of cowboy boots A to-go alcoholic beverage slushee place?!?!?!!!! With XL cups?! To go?!!!! Francesca's which has the best sales ever! A must-stop for your visit In this lovely city :)
google avatar

Kalvin A.

Yelp
Probably the worst mall I have ever been to. Run down, no signs to help locate where you are. Also hard for handicapped or elderly people to enjoy as there are barely any ramps or elevators. The mall is so empty and no one goes here. It is literal trash. I recommend not visiting San Antonio altogether (trash city) and you'd save so much time and money at Dallas/Houston.
google avatar

Fox E.

Yelp
Mountains and valleys and bays and inlets are always mailing Barbie care packages and love letters, and recently, this Rivercenter a basket of chocolates and fruits! I'm not sure why natural landscape items are so in love with her, but they are. Okay, I know why. This center, though, is a big, expensive mall in the heart of downtown Alamo. On the one hand it's very cool to have a mall in downtown San Antonio and it can add a really great shopping experience to your tourist experience if you're coming to town, without leaving the city centre, which I think is the point. As long as you're not driving in (read on). On the other hand, if you live in the San Antonio area or you've rented a car for your trip down here then you're in trouble because parking here is $15, and there's not much parking in the nearby streets either. $15? For mall? They need to realize that you come to a mall to spend money!? They're like, actively driving away business. That's a ridiculous decision. That's why they get two stars instead of three or four which would have been the case if not for the ridiculous parking fee. And no I didn't pay it.
google avatar

Jose C.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my visit here. You really need to find parking somewhere though. So be prepared to spend a pretty little dime on your visit. I brought my nephew here to shop for his Birthday gift and he said he'd never been to a mall like this. I'm glad he had fun and loved his welcome. There are a bunch of fun stores to visit here. I really took fond of Fat Tuesday, it's a must visit being downtown and all. Very nice breezy day to walk through the mall and grab a bite to eat. Great mall In my eyes.
google avatar

L E.

Yelp
Walking distance from our hotel, The Hampton Inn Downtown River Walk and gateway to the San Antonio River Walk. A bunch of retail shops & restaurants, an AMC theater, Dave & Buster's, GoRio boat tour cruise.. everything is here! A perfect place to cool off inside despite the summer heat! I noticed a few homeless people meandering outside and around the food court.
google avatar

Marie S.

Yelp
So here's the deal: If you're already by the river walk and visiting San Antonio, then it's not a bad idea to walk inside here to cool off. There are a few interesting shops to get some cool things as from your trip. There is also a food court, ice cream, drinks. There are also some activities for the kids, Dan & Busters, and a movie theater. However, if you live locally and you just need to buy a pair of jeans, I can think of other paces that I would rather run to that would be easer to access without all the people and free parking. Nonetheless, I do come here occasionally. But it's only if I will be down at the Riverwalk already, and not for this mall specifically. Overall, it's generally clean. Plenty of bathrooms. Well air conditioned, lots of parking. It is also right by the River Boats and has easy access to lots of restaurants.

Amber H.

Yelp
This area is a huge tourist area and i would just like to make suggestion for it to close a litter later than 8 pm. Overall it has some good shopping selections and it's kept clean and bathrooms well maintained

Alexander T.

Yelp
They should really keep this place cleaner. I know it's tourist season but to have a guest sit in ice cream that had obviously been there for a while. Total bummer. I decided to leave early because of this.
google avatar

Jettie G.

Yelp
No the best shopping for women's clothing. H&M is the major store. Nothing exciting.

Cristian E.

Yelp
Best shop I been at highly recommend The workers are top notch best shoes in San Antonio
google avatar

Lucy H.

Yelp
Great variety of shops and products with a variety of prices; staff at shops were helpful and friendly
google avatar

Roger W.

Yelp
This mall is so filthy I felt disgusting and in need of a shower after visiting. Parking area smells like human waste. You can hardly find a restroom. Definitely search else where for river walk excursions
google avatar

Teresa G.

Yelp
Gross gross restrooms and rundown food court. I have sent an email to the management and SA Chamber of Commerce--- heard nothing back. As a fellow native Texan, I was appalled how "unclean" the Rivercenter felt and looked. I would never recommend anyone to go to the Rivercenter after this last visit. As much revenue SA makes with tourism, I can't believe the city allows this to happen! Sad; the Rivercenter has a lot of cool kids attractions but........ your choice. I guess nothing sanitizer can't kill!

Charlie G.

Yelp
This place is disgusting, zero security. The one security guard on a bike looked like he had been up for days on meth. My truck was broken into in the parking garage, but of course the security said the only cameras are at the entrance and exit. $30 parking on a Friday afternoon, so I paid for my truck to be in an insecure location, great. The parking garage smells like urine, so they just let low life's walk around and pee everywhere, got it. If I was a female, I would be scared for my life in the parking garage. First, I will make the drive to North Star or La Cantera if I need to go the mall, at least they have security driving around. Second, if I need parking, I will gladly pay the extra 15-$20 at the hotels to make sure my truck is secure. Wow, What a disgrace to downtown San Antonio.
google avatar

Toni D.

Yelp
One of my favorite parts of my trip to San Antonio was this mall. They have everything you can think of inside: entertainment, restaurants and shopping. Not to mention the water taxi and your buses are right outside and the Alamo. We had so much fun at Dave N Busters also stayed at the Marriott which is connected to the mall and you never have to step foot outside.
google avatar

Melinda R.

Yelp
We were walking the Riverwalk this evening while celebrating our son's 17th birthday and headed toward/through the Shops at the Rivercenter. First, we encountered a young woman in a tiny white outfit with her rear end completely OUT for the world (and small children to see) just outside the main entrance; then we encountered a young woman (very large in size) in what can only be described as a black-in-color swiss-cheese dress where more skin was showing than was covered (again, small children were being subjected to this display); then we came across a blatant shoplifter with a cart full of unbagged merchandise stealing shoes off of a display outside one of the sporting goods stores. After all that, we were nearly run over by two young men on skateboards inside the mall (small children were in the area there, too). By this point, we were DONE being at the mall and packed it in. Praying security fixes these issues so families feel safe at the mall again.

Yelp
It sounds strange, but if you're visiting the San Antonio River Walk, you're 99% likely to visit the Rivercenter whether you like it or not. The RC is a block-long mall which sits astride the eastern end of the River Walk. You'll be going down into part of it if you want to catch one of the boat tours (which you really should). The RC is also smack in the middle between the River Walk and the Alamo, which is really good - or bad - depending on how you look at it. The Bad: As a shopping experience, it's a decidedly mixed bag. There's a food court, a smattering of restaurants, a strangely unfocused mix of stores, and lots of weirdly placed escalators. Personally, I'd skip both the up-and-down scale franchise stores and visit the San Antonio specific gift shops like Texas Treasures. Regardless of how you feel about the shops, they are good at one thing: attracting people. Beware of crowds on the weekends! The Good: Parking in the 'Pink' Garage (aka the River Center Parking Garage off of E. Crockett Street) is a major plus. Yes, you have to pay - but it's easily the most central spot between where you can catch the boat tour and walk to the Alamo. Also, having an air-conditioned inside mall to walk through is a godsend when it's raining or 100 degrees outside. As a dining experience, I like the different options available depending on your budget. Pick the specials at the food court and you'll do fine when being thrifty. There's several chain outlets of sit-down restaurants for the middle grade. Finally, there are at least two steak houses (Mortons and 1718) and several higher-end restaurants on the River Walk itself within walking, water-taxiing, or cab-ing distance. Like I said before, you probably won't be able to avoid the RC, so enjoy the highlights and smile - you're in San Antonio!
google avatar

Cheryll R.

Yelp
If your looking for shopping then skip this mall because there is really not much here. It's clean, large, and has beautiful window views of the Riverwalk. A few chain Restaurants on the outside of the mall such as Tony Roma's, Margaritaville, Hooters & Chili's. A small food court on the inside. I only recommend this mall if the weather outside is bad and you want be ondoors or if you want to see a movie at the AMC.
google avatar

Paul D.

Yelp
This mall is very touristy and strange identity. One level has known national brand stores but on a different level unknown flea market like stores. Even the restaurants are mixed from semi upper scale to carnival style. You will find locals just hanging out here and tourist looking to find a way out of this place. A few tacky touristy places seem to come and go and the latest is Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. You will find many of the stores sell the same stuff. They even have a liquor store here. Avoid using the mall restrooms here where undesirables hang out in and outside. I grew up in San Antonio and wished this mall was never built since it is an eyesore and blocks views to the Alamo. You will find much better food choices along the River Walk and there is a river boat depot here too. The parking here is expensive but used to park here in the garage and after midnight the toll people go home so it would be free. Not sure still the same. Checked out this mall and best place out it is sitting outside next to river and there may be the same native Brazilian band playing tunes.
google avatar

Christy A.

Yelp
I guess it'll work for basic shopping needs such as t-shirts, perfume, sneakers & whatnot if you're in a pinch. There's a movie theater inside, plenty of eateries, snacks, and activities to keep the kiddos occupied. Easily accessible off the Riverwalk. A garage is available for your parking convenience as well. In summary, it's a decent mall in a great area. ~Christy

Yelp
I find that a lot of cities really struggle to have inner city shopping for whatever reason. My hometown, Cincinnati, is nearly non-existent when it comes to stores, so I'm always pleasantly surprised when a city has a large shopping center downtown. The Rivercenter was an easy walk from my hotel, and conveniently had exactly what I was looking for. (I needed perfume spray, but that's beside my point.) There is a large amount of shopping for a downtown mall, and I found some good deals in some of the stores. I ended up buying more than what I came for. I do think this mall still has room for improvement. The space isn't used as well as it could be; it has room for a lot more stores. Also, the layout itself is confusing and there aren't nearly enough maps to help explain where things are. Lastly, the parking situation sounds atrocious. Since I was walking I didn't have to deal with that, but I would be pretty upset to pay $15+ to park. I really enjoyed the Rivercenter's location on the Riverwalk, and I appreciate that it's there for what I needed. It didn't close early and did the trick in getting me the things I do desperately needed.

Linda R.

Yelp
The Shops at Rivercenter is a shopping mall with typical mall stores, a food court, and movie theater. The shops are on two levels while a food court and Riverwalk access on on the bottom floor. Hubby and I love to walk after a big meal, so it was perfectly air conditioned to walk after dinner. The Wyndham Vacation guys were super annoying and yelled at everyone to drum up business.
google avatar

Bethanne A.

Yelp
While the Rivercenter is the Mall area, I am including the Riverwalk area and boat ride in this review. We hadn't been since 2014 and there have been many improvements done since that time, and all for the better. It is just beautiful now. It even appears as the whole walk along the waterway has been freshened up. The Riverboats are all new, the tour guide was incredible and as many times as I have been on this tour, I learned many new stories along this tour and saw other landmarks and buildings. We also learned the Riverwalk has opened up to end at the Pearl Brewery Historical Area. We really enjoyed our time this visit. Highly recommend, and while hot, it didn't seem like it was.
google avatar

Todd M.

Yelp
Not bad. It's a nice place, not too big, many shops open and surprisingly you can find a lot of good deals here. I was actually surprised that some of the prices were cheaper than what I've seen online at some of the stores like Express. They have a food court and some other typical mall stuff. Mainly give it a five for the bargain deals and location. Is it the best in the world? No.
google avatar

Kelly S.

Yelp
Super convenient location, so many restaurants and shops right by the Riverwalk. We came here for lunch and to grab a few quick things. With so many options there's something for every taste. My favorite was the pizza place, great price and we could call ahead to place an order. Love all the colorful umbrellas at all the outside seating area. Great spots to sit and relax or watch the boats go by. Better yet access the Riverboat here at the shops, very affordable at ten bucks a trip.
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
This shopping mall was adjacent to my hotel. While it was convenient because it had coffee shops, a liquor store and a drug store. There were also lots of closed businesses. There's supposed to be a food court area, but I gave up on finding it when I realized that most of the places were not open for early breakfast. As the businesses tend to face the street, unlike most malls, it was a little confusing to find the area that you needed. Since it was raining, I really didn't want to wander on the street. There are some major retailers like Macy's and H&M as well as an Imax theater and some other touristy kinds of things.
google avatar

Florence A.

Yelp
Not much at this mall and it always seems that when I come here to visit theres always some kind of construction going on or something being fixed. It's not always crowded here during the weekdays like it was today, but still not much here unless you're visiting and staying at a nearby hotel then its convenient to come here for the food court and tourist attractions and restaurant located around here.
google avatar

Nicki K.

Yelp
The Rivercenter is in walking distance from the hotel. It took a good 10-15 mins. We could walk below on the riverwalk or on top on the street. Either way, didn't matter. We got to the Rivercenter. It is actually located right next to The Alamo. We went several times while we stayed in San Antonio. We walked above and below to get the views. Walking on the riverwalk is so much prettier, honestly. It will take you towards the Alamo and there you go. You cannot miss all the shops displaying. This mall is 4 stories high. They have Legoland there and an aquarium. It reminded me of Mall of America in MN. With our limited time, we didn't explore the whole mall. The second time we came, we exited the Rivercenter and saw the Riverwalk on the bottom. The Riverwalk is much bigger than we thought too. We learned to use the map to get back to the hotel. 114/2019

Yelp
The plusses: Great location near the convention center and the major hotels. The River Walk basically runs through and around it, so you must have a dozen access points either at street level or River Walk level. Plenty of nice photo ops everywhere. It has easy access to a dozen conventional restaurants, a really nice food court, movies, a Dave and Busters and a Texas Experience interactive program. We saw quite a bit of uniformed security which is always a good thing in an urban mall. The negatives The incessant carnival barker antics of the kiosk vendors, tourist attraction ticket sellers, and time share vacation home hawkers is a tremendous turnoff. How do you handle the "How is your vacation going, do you need tickets for XYZ?" If you answer politely, they never give up and keep talking to you as you walk away. I don't want to be rude and ignore them, but I really hate these awkward encounters.
google avatar

Dave G.

Yelp
Used to visit this mall yearly in the summer when the local convention rolled around. Visited recently and was incredibly surprised at how much worse the mall has gotten. Many shops were closed 2-3 hours before closing. Food court is much smaller now and missing some of the old notable favorites (RIP Dairy Queen). Many of the escalators were broken or not working. Didn't notice any issues with cleanliness though. Disappointing, but not bad.

Yelp
I really enjoyed coming to this mall. It has everything anyone could want. It has a theater, typical mall stores, it has those jumpy things on the 3rd floor, the parking garage is attached to the mall, you have the riverwalk if you want to do some walking (make sure you wear suitable shoes), you can easily visit down town, and you can see some history at the Alamo. Also, if your are a Pokemon Go player, there are plenty of poke stops and gyms around just the mall and more if you walk the river walk. I came by public transportation. Just make sure you get on the right bus! I went on the right bus number but it took me the opposite way. Just ask the bus driver if this bus goes to the riverwalk. Also the mall provides 4 hours of free Wifi! Woo-hoo!

Yelp
Horrible job River Center. You close early due to COVID-19 and don't really have signage indicating that. No announcement was made concerning closing at 7pm and my wife and I got locked IN while we went to use your restroom. We saw others locked in as of 7:40pm. Side note: your restroom was completely disgusting. Picture is attached. Is this how San Antonians behave on a regular basis or do you simply not clean them?
