Shore House at The Del, LXR Hotels & Resorts

I stayed at Shore House at the Del for a business function. At check in there was confusion about getting my room key but the desk agent helped me use the Hilton app and escorted me to my room to ensure my digital key worked. Physical keys were delivered to the room in minutes. My room was lovely, quiet, clean and within easy walking distance to the main Hotel del Coronado and Shore House meeting rooms. The staff was fabulous everywhere I went. Highly recommend.

From start to finish, our stay at the LXR Shore House was outstanding. The property itself is absolutely stunning — luxurious, beautifully maintained, and has that perfect blend of sophistication and fun without ever feeling over the top. We had a few hiccups at the beginning — our first ocean view room had a carbon monoxide alarm issue, and the second room we moved into wasn’t as impressive. However, as Hilton Gold members, the team quickly upgraded us to a spectacular suite with both a street and Bay view. The room was huge and beautifully appointed, and once we settled in, it was smooth sailing from there. Special shoutout to Jason Williams, the Bowmen/Valet, who was absolutely incredible. He’s the guy who truly made our experience memorable — he hooked us up, gave us the lay of the land, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Jason is the man! Kim at the front desk was also fantastic — warm, professional, and genuinely caring — and Becca was wonderful as well. They both took such great care of us and made sure everything was right after our room change. The food across the property was excellent, and the overall atmosphere of the resort was just what we were looking for — upscale yet relaxed. I had read a few mixed reviews before coming, but our experience couldn’t have been better. Everything from the staff to the accommodations exceeded expectations. Five stars out of five — I’d come back here ten out of ten times. Highly recommend the LXR Shore House, and if you go, make sure to say hi to Jason, Kim, and Becca — they’re the best!

My husband and I had an amazing weekend at the Shore House!!! We go there every couple of months and alway can’t wait to go back!!! Top notch hospitality and quality all around. We travel the world and use to great fine hotels , but this one is different! It makes us feel at home far away from home! I would like to emphasize that the manager Daniel Chier , is above and beyond professional and shows an extremely good example to all other employees He is getting things done! You can easily see how much he cares about the hotels guests ! It’s more than just a job for him! I’ve never seen anyone like that in all of our travels! Nily Yefet Shalom

Shore house has exceeded every expectation. The staff here are the most incredible part. From valet, house keeping, front desk and poolside bar everyone looked for ways to enhance your vacation. I have truly never seen so many people doing their job to such a wonderful standard. Rooms and the view couldn’t be beat. We will be back!!

The shore house at Coronado del mar feels wonderfully exotic. Infused with the subtle perfume of far away places & wrapped in balmy air that lifts you out of everyday stress. The infinity pool opens onto a breathtaking stretch of beach_An unforgettable view. The rooms are spacious comfortable and thoroughly equipped with everything you might need.

Shore House is amazing! The staff, especially Kian, who ensured our arrival was perfect, to Bob and AJ at the pool bar, who are nothing short of amazing! Of course the ocean views simply speak to your soul. We will definitely be back!

Update: managers response below is indicative of the service you will get. Buyer beware We stayed at the Shore House for 5 nights this past week in a 2 bedroom Oceanview villa which cost $8,200 or $1,600/ night just for the room. The Shore House is sold as the "luxury or exclusive" option the the coranado hotel. We found this not to be the case. There were several gaps in service and issues with our stay. It would have been significantly cheaper to stay at the Fairmont, a 5 star hotel with much better service. I am disappointed that this place is listed with Amex as one of their "luxury fine choice hotels". Pros: The rooms and hotel are clean, the rooms are well appointed, and you get exclusive access to the shore house pool and the bistro on site that serves breakfast. There really is nothing else exclusive about it- in fact, we found the offerings at other parts of the hotel to be superior. Cons: the bistro onsite serves a buffet breakfast. We had the breakfast there 3 times. I am convinced the people running it have no experience in food service, let alone at a higher end place. All three times there was barely any service at all. I had to leave the table to go find someone when we wanted coffee, water, or anything else. Imagine not even setting a table with water glasses. One time we were told they didn't have any coffee cream for the coffee. They brought us milk instead in a soy sauce container. One morning we decided to go to go have breakfast at the main hotel (veranda) and the buffet there was SIGNIFICANLY better, had more options, and much better service. The poolside service is also non-existent. A waiter came by and we asked for a menu- she brought one 40 minutes later then never came back to take an order. When we were checking in, we asked for a bellman to help with our bags as we had a baby. We were told "no one is available right now", and they would not give us a luggage cart to use as "an employee needs to operate it". So we dragged our own luggage, stroller. etc. The icing on the cake was that the air conditioning didn't work on the top level of our 2 floor room. It was probably 80 degrees in one of the rooms where our daughter slept. We let the front desk know and they sent someone to fix it. the person told us it was because we sent the temp too high (it was set to 70 degrees). He turned it down to 63 degrees and left. we found this "solution" to be completely unreasonable. It was FREEZING in our room and upstairs was still warm. Our baby had to sleep in our room instead which defeated the purpose of paying for a 2 bedroom suite. If you would like to stay at this hotel my advice is to go experience it and not pay for any extras or anything "exclusive". A hotel which bills itself as a resort should have the services and amenities to support this. For $1600/ night you are better off booking the ritz, four seasons, fairmont etc.

Great hotel. Hotel Staff are friendly and professional. Had one issue at one of the restaurants. We're seated at 630p.m. no waiters came by our table. No water menus nit even a comment will be with you. Restaurant was not busy other then another table of 4. We didn't get service until we complained twice.
