An absolutely delightful place to eat out! We've been lucky and just turned up at 12 and got a spot even without reservation. Food, as you might know from other reviews, is amazing and prepared with love and beautifully presented - but the most charming thing about this place is that it is a pure family business and you have to be aware that upon entering, you not only purchase some random food but you support this hard and honest work these guys are delivering with passion and pride and it is so worth it and the success so well deserved!

The storehouse restaurant, whilst we found it with Google, it is advertised at the side of the nc500 as well. "A hidden gem" one might say. You don't see it advertised but the view from the restaurant just makes you want to stay for a couple of hours. The service is very good and the people are pleasant and nice. It has some good music on the background. But then when (for us) lunch arrives, a seaplatter for two, the tasting party begins. Of course one might expect fresh seafood when next to the sea. But the mackerel and smoked salmon are combined with the views taking you to another destination. Don't be disappointed when the last piece of fish enters your mouth, because some nice piece of pie is awaiting to fulfil the experience. I can recommend the chocolate pie.

So delighted to be back here. Never fails to delight with its fabulous freshly caught fish options - perfect place to relax after a visit to Handa.

Astonishingly hostile and unfriendly. I have never experienced anything like this in Scotland. If they don’t want our money-fine - we’ll give it to more deserving and polite people. One to be avoided.

Food was awesome especially the pickled herring. Great service and the desserts were homemade. Worth the effort!
