Tucked away in the busy market area, Shoshana Restaurant is an Israeli gem in Bangkok that delivers both authenticity and heart. Their hummus is hands down the best I’ve had in the city—smooth, flavorful, and perfectly paired with warm pita bread. I opted for the lamb meat, and the owner personally confirmed it’s halal, which makes this place an excellent choice for Muslim diners.
The tabbouleh was fresh and zesty, the pita soft and warm, and the coconut water made for a refreshing touch alongside the rich flavors. Service was top-notch—the owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, making you feel more like a guest than just another customer. The atmosphere is lively, thanks to its location in the market, so expect a bit of a buzz while you eat.
If you’re in Bangkok and craving authentic Middle Eastern food, Shoshana is a must-visit. Come hungry, and definitely don’t skip the hummus.
