Shoshone National Forest

The Shoshone National Forest is an amazing place to visit. The scenery is spectacular, and you will have many photo opportunities while you're here. The history in this area is amazing, along with the wildlife. Mountain goats, deer, and bear are among some of the animals that can be found in stunning National Forest. There are not very many places that you can truly get to experience some truly majestic landscapes. As always, leave no trace, leave it better than you found it, and enjoy 😉.

Yellowstone to Lovell we passed through Shoshone with its otherworldly volcanic rock scapes billions of years old. The descent to the plains around Cody was like a roller coaster

Staying in Lander for a month so we are splitting this national forest into a few days. Lots to do. Amazing views. Very peaceful.

We took a VERY scenic drive through this forest on the way from Yellowstone to Cody and it did not disappoint. The scenery and vistas were absolutely amazing. It seemed like we stopped after nearly every switchback along the road to get what we thought was an even better photo opp. We didn't do any hiking but the drive was totally worth it!

Exploring this vast wilderness, you find yourself constantly understanding why this was America's first national forest. So much to see & so many trails to try. So many gorgeous views and hidden places.

No service, no problem. Great place to get away from it all. Plenty of trails, views, and wildflowers for all to see. Just don't get so distracted that ya' run into a bear or moose!
