Really lovely little RV stop. We travelled for the whole day from Sequoia and they kindly left our key with Stephanie at the Motel, we were very thankful as would have missed check in by 30mins. It was a very short overnight stop but the facilities were really clean and we even saw Coyotes!! The pool was closed but think that was due to extreme temperatures, which was a bit disappointing but understandable. Thank you 😊

On our way home from Death Valley NP we stopped at his oasis to refresh before the long drive. Well worth the stop. The hot spring is the perfect temperature at 32C. Rejuvenated some sore muscles after hiking. I hope to wander by this gem one more …

Campsites each has wind walls with a bench and a shelf for a little gas grill top. The individual sites each had a picnic table too. There is a laundry site with the bathrooms and shower on the backside. There's even a small library building next to the communal fire pit. No pits at individual or group sides. Check in only available until 9pm. There is an outdoor hotspring pool just a short walk from the campground. Perfect location to explore the Shoshone area. We did the whole birding loop behind the museum down the street. $35 for a campsite is on the higher end but beats the hotel prices in the area

This RV site was in a great spot, the worker who showed us in was extremely helpful and friendly. There is also a hot springs pool which was really nice and relaxing. I would definitely recommend staying here. We booked it last minute whilst on the road. If our time allowed I would have liked to have stayed more than one night The only improvement to the site would be a few more showers as there is only one.

Nice quiet campground, easy check in/out, friendly staff. Lots within walking distance (Crowbar, museum, pupfish pond, Dublin Gulch, etc.). Bathrooms and showers were clean and functional. Price per night was spot on for the amenities provided. We will be back.

Great little hidden oasis gem in Death Valley! Clean & quiet within the campground. There is some truck noise from the highway, but not bad. Nice hiking trails close by. Does have free WiFi to boot. Mike is a hoot! Definitely will stay here again.

The camping is a little gem. Extraordinary swimming pool with natural warm water spring, we spent an amazing evening in it. Clean facilities, the owner is super kind and welcoming. Great soft grass (if you are travelling with a tent). Highly recommended!

I wanted to stay here because I was doing a hike the next morning down the road, and I was told that the pool here is very nice. However, when I arrived to ask about availability and explained I just needed a site that I can park in since I sleep in my Prius (doesn't matter if it's an RV or tent site to me), I was told I wouldn't be allowed to stay there. They apparently require a tent and don't allow guests to sleep in their cars. I've camped in my Prius for years and never heard of this issue before. I'm glad I didn't try to make an online reservation ahead of time, as I'm guessing I would have lost my money on top of not being able to stay there.

Yelp
This feels like a throwback to the 1970s or 80s. This is a privately run campground/RV site. There are a few tent sites which is what I used for my stay. Overall, the vibe is friendly and relaxing. They have Wi-Fi available, showers, laundry, and access to a warm spring pool which is about 89°. It truly is a little oasis in the desert. Nice green grass in the campgrounds, as well as palm trees, and other shade trees. The customers almost all had been there before, and appreciate it for the gym that it is in an otherwise stark desert landscape. Family vibe. The town of Shoshone is quaint and funky, and you can get delicious fresh date-nut bread from the local date farms, and fancy lotion and semi precious stones at the local gas station/gift shop. If you're passing through the eastern side of death Valley or on your way to Nevada, this is a nice place to stop and get some rest.

Yelp
If you look closely you will see that all the good reviews of this place are from many years back. This place is horrible. The pool is turning green and the concrete is falling apart in the pool. They make you use a key to get in the pool area but the gate is falling to the ground and has holes everywhere. Whats the point of a Key??? The wood benches are so bad and dry they give you splinters sitting on them. My daughter and I got wood splinters in our fingers. It is essentially impasible to sit down and not gets impaled by a huge splinter. We have been coming here for years but sadly this camp host named Brian is as racist as can be if you are not white. So much so that when we complained the other office staff admitted that they have issues with him and racism. The park was empty with no reservations and he gave us the worst spot in the park. My wife noticed it and requested a change. Thats where the horror story we experienced started and the rest is to much to explain. When we complained to the office the young lady called the Camp owner and literally told her in-front of us that Brian had another racist complaint. So sad this place is run down. My wifes family grew up here with the owner of the town and it seems the owner no longer appreciates what she has and is ok with having a racist as a camp host.

Yelp
Wow- this twas great! Clean facilities and some cool wildlife and trails. Didnt try the pool but it seemed clean and warm! We were greeted by Dana who was really friendly, walked us back to our spot. She reviewed the 3 pages of rules- all of them boiled down to "just be a good person." Perfect location and great amenities!

Yelp
While the park itself is lovely, the staff completely ruined our trip. When we arrived, after booking a specific site, he informed us that he had ran the sprinklers on it all day so it was too wet. He did that knowing we had booked it. So he moved us to a site right by the fire pit and closer to the highway. So we heard cars all night long. Then the next day while we were at Death Valley, he decided to flood the campsite and fire pit area. Our tent and solar panels were soaked. We got home and he had the sprinklers on at the site on the other side of us which was hitting our tent and truck. We met wonderful people here, but next time we visit the area we will be staying elsewhere. Such an unnecessary thing to do, just to ruin someone's vacation.

Yelp
I just discovered this gem and love it! The man who checked us in was very nice, even though we arrived past the 9pm check- in time. He gave us a nice site and was very clear in explaining the rules of the campground. It was always so quiet and campers were very respectful! The whole place is clean, has laundry machines and the full hook ups were a huge plus! Oh and the pool was wonderful! It's warm and clean. We will be back.

Yelp
I would definitely come here again. It's centrally located and the town of Shoshone had some great points of interest to check out. Reservations have to be made over the phone or by email. It's located close to the southern point of Death Valley, so POI like Badwater Basin, Dante's View, Devil's Golf Course, Furnace Creek, Zabriskie Point, Artist's Drive were all located within an hour. China Ranch (date farm), and many hiking trails are near by. Sites are gravel but flat and many are underneath large trees for shade. We came during NYE weekend. Full hook ups, and clean showers and toilets. A very friendly lady named Debbie greeted and helped us to our site. She was always riding her bike circling the grounds saying hello each time. Most of the people camping here by tent or RV or trailers were very friendly and neighborly. There is laundry onsite and clothes line to to air dry your clothing out in the sun. Weather was perfect in the winter- high seventies but would dip to the high fourties at night. This park had ponds large and small all over- ducks and the endangered pupfish. They even had a vole restoration project going. We swam in their 89F temperature mineral apring water pumped pool. It was heavenly. No waterfall during the winter, but it was like swimming in a large jacuzzi. It was relaxing after a day of hiking. They are dog friendly, but there no designated areas for dogs. This isn't a problem because you and your pooch have so many places to hike near by or walk around. Just pick up after your pet and properly dispose their wastes, please. Don't walk them at night outside of the park. We saw coyotes and heard coyotes at night. It is in a remote area with no cell reception- wilderness! WiFi works well though so we were able to stream our chromecast. I was able to use my apps to make phone calls. I loved everything about this place and I will come back.

Yelp
This is actually an awesome little rv park. The office hours for the rv park are from 1pm-9pm. So if you call before 1pm to make reservations, the phone is just going to ring and ring because they are closed and they don't have voicemail. The full hookups all work as expected. The internet works as good as an rv park internet works. We were able to even use our chromecast with their internet. Out of the 4 nights we were there, the internet did stop working but the next day it was back up. Caution : cell phone do not work at all here!! We have Verizon and we would get one bar for a second and then it would disappear. The lady that checked us in was super nice. The whole time I would always see her on her bicycle cruising around the park working with a smile, even after hours she'd say hello and be happy all the time. She seriously deserves a raise. The bathrooms and showers were super clean. The park is well taken care of. Besides rv camping they have a section for tent camping too. There's also is a laundry room, a library and community fire pit. Also the best part is they have a spring water swimming pool that's huge. The pool was built in 1920!! Yes the pool is almost 100 years old! Spring water is continuously flowing in the pool so it's always 89 degrees Fahrenheit!! Always!! That's seriously the work of God! Here I am in December-January swimming in the pool. Also at the rv park they have the pupfish trail!! Super cool trail that takes about 15 mins to walk. The trail takes you to spring water pools that are the home of the pupfish. The pupfish are these tiny little fish thought to be extinct but due to a discovery and conservation theyre back!!!!! What's cool is these pupfish are only here in the Death Valley area!! The pupfish are located nowhere else in the world . Pretty cool stuff. And you get all of this in this one park. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Let's get started with the gift from of manna from the Gods. The spring-fed pool is located in a fenced area in the back of the grounds. It requires a key and each key is numbered for the campground. You get that when the office opens up currently at 1pm. The pool is cleaned every Friday and it takes up to about 1 or 2pm for it to get filled back up and then open to the public. They use bleach to clean it and the rest of the time is self cleaned by the water flow entering and exiting the pool. It's super duper deep at one end. You can use it decently for your pool exercising and at the shallow end, there is plenty of contemplation space to just hang out. So over all, the pool is pretty nice for what it is. The changing room cuts the wind down when coming out. Use it if you can. The pool closes at 9pm. No food allowed but there are nice picnic areas just outside. I went in the December when it's often windy. There was not enough warmth in the water for me. The pool was about the same temp as what you might find in someone's back yard. Just warm enough to be comfortable to get in and not warm enough to stay and soak like a hot tub. That may change with the weather, however. The water is silky and does not smell. The shower was hotter. It uses a water heater to fortify the temperature. So no problems there. Now for the location. This is a desert campground with good amenities. Ambiance is not "resort" but that adds to the charm. The good thing about this place is everything was working and in good order. That says a lot about the facilities maintenance crew. I was greeted in the morning by the man who was handling the trash cans. Justin let me feel the temp of the water by unlocking the door to the pool for me. He told me a few things and that helped me decide to stay. He's not the only crew member but they do a great job. The bathrooms were clean enough (could use some hand soap there and would feel even cleaner than a bar of soap). The common areas were in good order and the local trail across the street was identifiable and groomed to make it easy to "hike". Use the poles in the ground (one fell) to help find the trail. Bring binoculars and find the tallest bushy vegetation in the marsh area to find several types of birds. Walk along desert that does not have a crunch when you step. That crunch is a crust that the desert uses for several things and is disturbed when we humans walk and crunch it up. Best to walk along the non crunchy parts. Notice the geology of the hill behind the campground. It's a cinder-cone mound that was developed when a poof of lava spewed out. Notice how there are many different bits of rocks as well. That may be due to ice age bits being placed there from any number of far away places on earth. (Not sure about this but possible). And last tip for you hikers, yes, there are Indian things here and there. I found some. Be careful to put bits back and to not disturb what you find. The minor's artifacts are usually handled in the same manner. In the back of the hotel part, there is evidence of the water source and it would be great for kids to spend an hour in there talking with family about biology of life since there are pup fish that have developed over eons of time that are only found in the water source for this area. There is a big placard about it and you can do your best to explain what you learned and know. Maybe see if you can find a pup. There are also voles that live in the marsh so keep the dogs on leash when hiking. They are probably just too tempting little varmints and trigger all the hunter DNA in them. Bring a chair to the top of a mound and watch the sunset from behind the marsh area. There are several that are little rocks type that are fine to climb from the left side looking away from the campground. Bring a folding chair, a non-glass of wine and good cheese and there's your afternoon. The store lady has the campground pricing wrong but that's ok. Her outdated list in her list book says 40 but currently it's 45 with hookups. She's not far off the right price and she's super sweet. Take a good look at the antiques in the store. Some of them are local and not for sale. Coffee with real creamer. Across the street is a restaurant open for take-out during Covid restrictions. The famous stuff is the cactus chili and according to Jennie in the office, the best part of the menu is the burgers and the Reuben sandwich with the fries that are cut on location. The potato salad is made fresh too. Good to know. Jennie was great. She's the office gal. Opens at 1, website opens earlier to book and set up before 1pm. Get pool key at 1.

Yelp
Very nice, very well-run park. It is clean and the trashcans are emptied several times a day. The bathrooms and showers are clean and in good working order. Folks are friendly. Most sites have shade and grass. We didn't go in the pool this time, but it looks very clean. Has good wi-fi reception. Peaceful and quiet. You can walk to the Crowbar Saloon and Cafe, which has very good food. We stayed at Shoshone Village for four nights and had an excellent experience. Highly recommended

Yelp
5 stars is based on the quality for this area. This is a desert campground with mature trees, a very nice warm spring pool and sits between 2 different trail systems for birdwatching or pup fish watching. Way better view of pupfish than Ash Meadows imo. Great location to explore Death Valley and Armagosa River area of the Mojave Desert.

Yelp
Bought a new R Pod trailer and went 27 miles from home to try it out. Glad we picked this campground to go to. The grounds are well kept. Clean laundry and restrooms. Friendly and efficient amp hosts, there's two sets. Awesome warm springs pool.

Yelp
Nice location, but $25 for a tent spot is highway robbery. There was a nice spot near where we would have to park, so we wouldn't have to lug everything 150 feet to the site, but no, that one's reserved for people who never came, so now I'm a pack mule. It took at least a half hour to get checked in, since they insist on reading a long list of rules to you like you're a child. Only one shower in the rest room, and you need to be good at seeing in low light. The toilet stalls look like the toilet itself was an afterthought, added in by the handyman from the old TV show Green Acres, with plenty of expanding foam. All in all, a primitive tent site in the desert would be much preferable.

Yelp
Stayed at the RV park. Checked in with Lupe, he was wonderful! He explained all the rules and amenities and then showed us the spot for us. I had requested a pull-thru, but only back-Ins were available, the spot was pretty nice. Although wi-fi is "available", it wasn't reliable and we were rather close to the office, where I assume the router might be. With no cell service or cable available, wi-fi was important. Water, more important than internet, yet it went out completely twice and the maintenance did not have access to the breaker, so water off for many hours two days in a row. LOVED the location. LOVED the park itself. Staff was really wonderful. Little town of Shoshone, population 13 is interesting. Great museum and restaurant. Gas and general store too if you need them! I took one star for water issues and one for wi-fi issues.

Yelp
Wr stayed 5 nights here with our grandkids and enjoyed every minute. Close to the Death Valley experience with easy access. Our last day here they drained and cleaned the pool much to the disappointment of our grandkids, but the pool guy let us know they could swim again as soon as it was full. They waited all day and finally when the kids thought it was "full" enough they went and got the office guy who walked them over to open up the gate for us!! Great service!!

Yelp
We stayed here a day and used it as a little picnic area for our DV trip. For $20 you get a beautiful area with some shade and great views of the mountains. The park also has a warm spring pool that feels great. If you are in the area, this is a great spot what wasn't listed in the DV brochure. Update: I stayed here again, and again a great visit. The warm springs pool was a great change for the near-freezing temperatures outside. Public bathrooms, very clean, and free hot showers. They now have WiFi and the library was a great way to keep out of the cold. UPDATE: We stayed again for three days. Was pretty nice to have the pool in the 115f Late August heat. We rented the cabin, which was a godsend. A/C, fully furnished and provided (dishes, silverware, cooking utensils) for $100 a night! This is a little bit more than it would have cost to stay in a tiny one-room at the Shoshone Inn. The staff was nice, but a tad overbearing. No privacy. Always in our grill. The only gripe about the campground. We came in, wanting a camping experience but it was way too hot. Usually the campground furnishes camp wood, so we asked. The older lady told us she had no firewood, to buy it at the store and we did. Sadly, they charge $10 a bundle when it should be $3.99 - $5, and we bought FOUR bundles. We got back to the cabin after the office closed and started to cook - NO GAS. Propane was off. So, we went out and turned it on because we had to eat. Entire cabin filled with noxious propane fumes and really did a number on us. We were all sick. So, naturally, my girlfriend was REALLY agitated and it created a really tense time. We ended up cooking dinner in the toaster oven. My girlfriend allowed her daughter (who is nearly 17, with a permit!!!!) to drive to the store. On their return she entered a little fast (it is downhill, and the speed limit is 5. The truck rolled faster downhill than 5). We were informed a) to respect the speed limit (which I completely understand, and accept we went too fast) and b) that the daughter was not allowed to drive on the premises. She has a permit, which allows her to legally drive with a licensed adult beside her. Sorry, ma'am. The next day, we tell the lady about the propane and she said someone would fix it in the morning. I understand that it's not something that could be fixed on a whim. So, we told her we will just cook on the grill/firepit. That is when she informed us that there's a ban on fires and there can be no fires... this after the other lady told us to buy wood! After informing her of that, she allowed us to make a small fire and to put it out afterwards since we had no way to cook. So, we cooked and when we left, we poured water on the fire. Apparently it wasn't good enough because the groundskeeper gave us a "talking to" the next day like we were little children. I understand the importance of putting out fires, but the wood was left smoldering in a fire pit. She informed us that she drug a hose way over and drenched it for us... if I knew there was a hose! She also said "no more fires". Since we could not cook breakfast, we left to eat. When we got back the lady informed us that a repairman took the liberty to enter our cabin without our permission and fix the propane while we were gone. Thank you. The last day, our son wanted to do an ice bucket challenge, so we brought a cooper of ice and water to the grass next to a tree to water the tree and avoid waste. We did the challenge and ice was on the ground. I kicked the ice around so it would melt much faster in the 110f desert heat and water the tree. That lady comes over and starts to say something about leaving the ice on the grass or something. I just walked away. Rather not start anything. I could not get over that. It is the desert, and 110f, and the ice was in the grass under a tree. SO WHAT! I love this place, don't get me wrong. I have been here MANY, MANY times in the past and will return. I love it that much. But the staff needs to lighten up a bit!

Patrick L.

Yelp
Remember: You are in a desert region yet...Just across from the park is the Aramagosa river which flows through a beautiful area of riparian desert (interesting enough, the river terminates at Bad Water). We pitched our tent at number one and everything you need to be comfortable was there: Table, wind-barrier, access to shower, toilet, laundry, recycling, etc was available. A wonderful grassy area to pitch a tent. A less than 30 second walk brought you to see something truly unique: The survival of a species on this earth!!! The Shoshoe Pup Fish. A wonderful jewell of an animal brought back from extinction by kind folks there. Walking around the area, birds popup up here and there. At the campground, the staff is active and engaged in making this place a respite for travelers. We had just been in Death Valley and seen Stovepipe Wells and Furnace Creek and have to say, I'll never stay in the valley again. So many people. But, a short hop to Shoshone Village and a drive back to DV off payment areas is the way to go. Whenever we're in this area again, no doubt about it: We're staying at this campground. The manager, Pam Wilson, is the most supportive and accommodating of your needs. Cheers to this place! Patrick and Ellie, Sebastopol, California

Yelp
This is a lovely rv park, perfect for a stopover between Death Valley and Joshua Tree. Very friendly and helpful staff. The grounds are very nice and the natural hot spring pool is refreshing. There is no Verizon coverage here but the park wifi is as good as I've ever had at an RV park. Unfortunately, we were unable to move on because of a severe wind storm throughout the Region. We contacted Pam at the front office and she was able to adjust our reservation and allow us to stay another night. She was more than helpful and understanding of our situation. Thanks, Pam. We will definitely stop here again when we make this trip next time.

Yelp
Super nice staff, helpful and friendly. Library with heater, refrigerator, small kitchen area. Laundry room (coin) and reverse-osmosis fresh drinking water (free), bathrooms with shower. Full swimming pool filled with warm spring water (88-90 degrees) and no chlorine - the water is continuously being replenished. Valve you can turn to activate waterfall over pool, that gives your back and shoulders a massage with pounding water. Fun swim! Tent camping is $20 per night. Not sure what RV camping is. Only negatives were that the bathroom smelled really bad, and the wi-fi (free) is very slow (apparently it's a satellite connection). You can check for e-mail, but forget about photos, video or web browsing. Two geology students hogged the wi-fi the entire night; they were up all night long, bringing the wi-fi to a virtual stop, and I could only check for e-mail in the morning when they were asleep.

Yelp
What a gem.!! We stopped here and camped for the night on our way to Death Valley. We camped in a grassy spot which was awesome. Unfortunately we did not have time to check out the pool but it looked great. Nice clean bathrooms and showers. The place also has a kitchen facility where you can rinse dishes. A laundry facility is also available. Best of all were the campground managers Sarah and Ben were super nice and accommodating since we arrived fairly late.

Valeri G.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay here. The town is nice and beautiful. The warm springs pool was so relaxing!! The little touches to the RV park landscaping add to the aesthetic of the area. The park is clean and very well kept. Even though the park is right on the highway there is very little commercial traffic over night. There is no cell phone service in this area but the park offers wifi, though as with most RV parks does get bogged down most evenings. With its close proximity to Death Valley, it was an ideal place to stay.

Yelp
Going to the Shoshone RV Park has always been a wonderful experience for my husband and I and we do plan on returning. Unfortunately, this last visit left me disheartened and, quite frankly, more than a little upset. We arrived on Saturday afternoon hot, tired, and anxious to get in the pool that is on the premises for the RV Park and Motel guests to use. It is my understanding that they do not allow anyone to use the pool without paying for a room or a camping spot. As we were setting up camp we heard a lot of whooping and hollering coming from the pool area. Some of the phrases I overheard were pretty rude and I will not repeat them here. Eventually, we realized the pool was full of at least 20+ men that the female RV park manager let in for a swim and more were arriving by the minute. She must have been charging them to get into the pool because I saw a lot of cash changing hands. She said they were special guests from the historical society and that she made a reception, I'm pretty sure she meant exception, for them to be allowed to swim and drink in the pool area. Unfortunately, they proceeded to drink, and drink, and drink some more. They actually had ice chests floating in the pool and were throwing cans of beer across the pool area to one another. As one very drunk man put it, as he was trying to pick up on my girlfriends and I, "We're either from the historical drinking society or the drinking historical society. We haven't been able to decide which one." And we were not about to go swimming under those conditions. I think the RV Park manager showed a blatant disregard for any ones safety including mine, by allowing drinking to go on in the pool area. There are serious liability issues involved and it is clearly signposted as being "not allowed" for good reason. Now, I don't have a problem with the men being allowed to swim. After all, it was a hot day and they did put up a sign for the town of Shoshone. But the drunk and disorderly manners of the men was just too much. When the men finally left, we had to pick up at least a dozen beer cans form the pool area before we could enjoy the pool ourselves. And, if that wasn't bad enough, about 3am, a bunch of town teenagers woke us up after they climbed the pool fence and were parading across the roof of the pool, naked, whooping and hollering in the water. Where were the RV Park managers? They've obviously had this problem in the past because the fence had been repaired in a few places. Continuing with the story, on Sunday, a fire broke out behind the downtown buildings in Shoshone. As the fire trucks ran out of water, they decided to fill them up with the pool water. Before I continue with my rant, I feel I should explain how the pool water is obtained. There is a fresh water spring that comes out of the mountain and is directed into a pipe that fills the pool and the pool then overflows and continues down a little stream off into the desert. I was told that the water flow is so great that the entire volume of the pool is exchanged in just 4 hours. There is a lever on the pipe that will either make the water flow directly into the pool or it will flow thru a pipe filled with holes and shower into the pool. As we were swimming, one fire truck parked outside the pool and filled up with water. The firefighters joked with us about the water level dropping but we didn't notice any water drop whatsoever. Then, a few minutes later, the male RV park manager came into the pool area and turned off the shower pipe without saying a word to us and then walked out. Mind you, the full fire truck was parked outside the gate and didn't move for several hours. We continued to swim and turned the shower back on to enjoy the massage it gave as it fell on our backs. Again, the male RV Park manager came in and turned off the shower without any explanation and left again. The third time he came in, he said as long as the fire trucks are filling up that we couldn't use the shower. Wait a minute, the fire truck was already full and had been sitting there for several hours. Furthermore, no fire trucks came to fill up again until at least two hours after we left the pool for the night. I felt he was just pushing around his authority and we were somehow in his way of looking good for the firefighters. Whether the water flowed directly into the pool or it went thru the pipe with holes made no difference on the rate the volume of the pool was replenished. Now, it's Monday. As we are packing up to leave, my husband disconnected the RV septic and I had to use the bathrooms for the first time since arriving. What an experience. It smelled like those open pit toilets you have to use at the state parks. Never, in the past, have the toilets smelled like that. Then my husband went into the men's toilet and one was overflowed with toilet paper. As we were leaving a lady at the office said they knew about it and that someone used too much toilet paper. But, they left it like that? Why?

Yelp
Shoshone RV Park is a gem. The new owners have put a lot of hard work in - and it shows. Beautiful clean restrooms, and the grounds are manicured. You can't see it from the road, but there is a warm water mineral pool that was 89 degrees - perfect! I can't say enough good things about this place. The nightly fee is VERY reasonable, and the owners are a delight, and very helpful.

Yelp
Excellent and friendly RV park. Clean facilities and grounds without the marginal conditions of other parks in the area. Good pool with constant water change from geothermal source. Good temp in summer, could be 5-8 degrees warmer in winter. WiFi and good open sky for satellite receivers. Fee is very reasonable. Not ultra modern but perfect for our needs. Excellent overnight on the way to Death Valley.

Yelp
I loved this site and was very impressed! I normally just squat wherever when I'm roughing it, but now that I have a daughter I'm trying to act like a civilized camper... So we ended up checking this place out. Just the fact that they have a shower, laundry room, drinking water, and a pool replenished with water from a warm spring honestly made it the lap of luxury compared to what I'm used to. My only complaints are that the wifi was painfully slow and the crowded campsite near ours was very loud until around 11 PM, but the fact that there was wifi at all is still awesome, and this is definitely a campground we will be using regularly from now on!! They even have beautiful ponds set up along a walk behind the pool to preserve some of their native species of fish. I highly recommend stopping here... The local hotels are overpriced and if I didn't have a restless toddler in tow then I would have slept like a baby!

Yelp
I loved the Shoshone Village Campground! Ben and Sarah were very friendly and helpful. The place is well loved and cared for and it shows. Others have mentioned the great thermal spring swimming pool and the wonderful nearby trails and pond. But what impressed me as well was the little thoughtful things provided - like dish soap to use in the laundry room sink. And laundry detergent. (Oooops - maybe that belonged to one of the other campers....) The showers, as has been mentioned, are very clean and well appointed - and the water is piping hot! One of my neighbours invited me to join them for cards in the library in the evening. I had the impression that the owners deliberately have created a community atmosphere - one of warmth and caring. I felt like I was in an oasis in the desert - literally and figuratively. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
We spent one night here on the way to Death Valley NP and we loved it! We cooled off in the pool and slept under a starry sky. Randy was sweet and helped us blow up our air mattress. We even unloaded our cooler into the refrigerator and freezer for the night. We were blessed with a a great night of sleep and great hospitality.

Yelp
MY HUSBAND and I SPENT OUR WEDDING NIGHT and HONEY (1 night) HERE - on purpose! We have been going to Shoshone Inn for years - we go every summer. Sure it is not a 5-star hotel...but where's the fun in that?! The staff is sweet and helpful. It's in the middle of the dessert and its QUIET! It may seem expensive but if you want to meet people from all over the world, sit, relax, and listen to the radio without anybody bothering you - than this is your destination.

Yelp
Our RV travel trailer broke down about 1/2 mile down the street from Shoshone RV Park while we were on our way to Furnace Creek campground in Death Valley National Park. We pulled in and hoped they'd have room for us for a few days. Debbie was so nice and accommodating, giving us a pull through site since our trailer was not moving well at all. There is no cell service in Shoshone and Debbie and her wonderful workampers Sam and Terri let us use the office phone to speak with a repair shop a few times so we could coordinate repairs. We were pleasantly surprised to be "stuck" in the desert with full hookups, a delightful warm spring pool, free wifi that actually worked and a pretty nature trail right in the park. The office even had a library of DVDs for people to borrow while they're staying at the park. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Everyone was so nice and friendly. We were able to take a day and check out Death Valley National Park and saw the campground where we originally planned to stay. Shoshone RV Park was DEFINITELY a happy accident. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it to others. Thank you for making it actually pleasurable to be broken down in the desert.

Yelp
We originally had a spot at a place further away but weren't going to make it in time, so we called and spoke to Mike. He had a spot for us and was very friendly. The wifi worked great!!! It's the best wifi I've ever had in an RV park. And it was included in the price. We were there only one night and didn't use many of the facilities, but can highly recommend it for a stopover.
