"Situated on the banks of the Canal Saint-Martin, Shouk is a Lebanese-Israeli-inspired restaurant that's both excellent and unpretentious, where the atmosphere is super friendly. The space is big enough for a quiet chat, with mezzes and delicious wines. What could be better than sharing warm and inviting food on a first date? Just avoid the onions!" -Hugo Compain, Editor and Digital Content Manager - Vogue Hommes "

Amazing food and great ambience. It as my first time trying Israeli cuisine and I gotta say that this place turned me into a believer. Would recommend to go there with a reservation. We didn't have one so we were seated at the bar. It wasn't bad at all though, because we got to see the cooking happening right in front of us. A 3 course meal (with lots of leftovers) plus drinks cost us about 40 eurs each. Toilet is kept super clean too. Would go back again.

Exceptional #Mediterranean inspired food. The chef comes from Israel and we can always see him in the place very friendly with everyone. The dishes change from time to time so you can discover new dishes and flavors. The service is exceptional and the atmosphere with good music.

Great place, food was really good and came quickly. The place is nicely designed and the staff was nice and took my hazelnut allergy into account. I personally felt that the staff was in a bit of a rush to give us the bill although the place was not full. I think I will come back, potentially on a Friday when the atmosphere is a bit more lively

Initially we started our night at Verre Vole but one of our group was a vegetarian and they didn't offer any veggie options. We walked down the road and happened upon Shouk. I honestly could not have been more satisfied with the evening. The staff were absolutely great, super friendly and warm. The food was just DELICIOUS! I will be back and recommend you to give this place a try - I've been all over Paris and their food is fantastic!

We came from Barcelona during curfew and found out that Israeli place a friend had recommended me. The meal for two was incredible, the pita just out of the oven and fresh was a perfect mix with matbucha sauce and the aubergines. Our main course was the lamb cocotte which was savored and honored to the last piece. Malabi desert was to die for and it’s been a very long time that I hadn’t eaten it. And the best was the click and collect service with warm welcome and smiles from the owner. Very pleased. Advice anyone to go there more than once 🥰

So so good. Great staff, good wine and the tastiest halloumi salad (dressing!) and sampler platter. I’m going right back

Yelp
How would I summarize Shouk in one word that I know will speak to Parisians and foreigners alike? YUM. The Moroccan bread dish with all the accoutrements is an absolute MUST do. The bread is fluffy and delicious, rolled with pistachio, and drizzled with a bit of honey, served with labneh (SO GOOD), anchovies, za'atar, olives, and some peppers. I've not had a dish like this elsewhere and I've been craving it ever since! We also ordered the octopus skewer over greens - this was also very good though the octopus could have been a BIT less chewy and seasoned/marinated a BIT more. The greens were SO good though! Finally, we had the kibbeh nayyeh which is essentially lamb tartare. I've had this dish many times in different restaurants but this one is my absolute favorite. It's topped with some crunchy goodness that I can't explain as well as an egg yolk. The only thing you should be aware of is that if you want to have an appetizer first, THEN your entrees, make sure to be clear about it. We ordered everything together and it came all at once. English-speaking? Kind of. The server knew some English and had to check with the bartender on a few things. Either way, he spoke more English than I speak French so kudos to him! He was also very sweet.

Yelp
Maybe I wouldn't get on a train for this restaurant and make a long trip, but if I am in the area, I will most certainly go back. Clean, fast, friendly service and super delicious! They went thru every item on the menu in details. We ordered 4 small plates and a bottle of wine for two of us and both were full; all four were great with a unique flavor!

Yelp
Shouk is a delicious new place. The space is modern and sleek. Music is great which creates the ambiance. High ceiling and large windows makes the place charming. Mediterranean cuisine done well from fresh ingredients. The chicken was juicy and flavorful and the kebbab well spiced. Highly recommended.
