Shree Tibet Family Guest House

Centrally located in Thamel. Well managed budget guest house. Great place to meet fellow like minded travellers. Very social and friendly atmosphere. Terrific tranquil roof terrace. Stayed here many times - never had any complaints with my room or facilities. Okay, all except the occasional cold shower! Not really a problem though. I thoroughly recommend Shree Tibet to any traveller.

A good budget hotel. We have booked dormitory beds for 5 people, charge was minimal and the toilet was neat and clean. Hotel staff was very supportive and they also have booked our taxi for sightseeing which was very reasonable and driver was awesome. Will recommend it for sure. 😊

Calm place located little away from the busy streets. Very economical , good place located next to hotel Vaishali. Accessible to ALL shopping areas in Thamel. If you have lots of luggages , it would be difficult as Taxi could not enter this lane. Need to take a Rick from the main road. However the hotel has a Taxi which is accessible right from the hotel.

This is a decent place for the price, good location and the staff are helpful. the hot water is an issue but this is generally the same around Nepal. the room I was in didn't have much light coming through.

Okay place, very fare price. Two main cons: 1. The worst wifi in Katmandu 2. The water in the shower have a bad metalic smell for some reason. Other then that it's a good VFM place to spend one or two nights in Katmandu.

Went in to have some Momo's. Just tasted ok. Nothing great about this place. We also ordered Veg Thukpa. Was full of noodles and very less vegetables. Taste was good though. Would rate this average

Closed. Once a recommended place, mentioned in Lonely Planet. I stayed here several times in past decades. This trip I booked Karma Hotel on same street which is very good and I recommend.

Good guest house. Owners were helpful when I had questions. Good location; close to lots of shops, but not so close that it's noisy. Enjoyed my stay here.
