Stayed at Shree Tibet Family Guest House on 2 occasions in October 2018, the first for one night, the second for a week.
Location is good in Thamel, when catching taxi into Hotel traffic is restricted into the street its located, so be aware a walk of about 200m is required.
Rooms are relatively clean and tidy with all that is required for a Hotel in this price range.
Bed in the first room I had could have used a new mattress, but the bed in the second room was good. Bathrooms were ok, but as in most places in Nepal, Hot water is a bit hit and miss.
There are 4 floors in this hotel and only access is by stairs, NO Elevator but the staff are more than helpful to take luggage to the room for you.
I don’t think breakfast is normally offered as standard, but as we were in a small group of 6 and staying for an extended period, we were offered it. But to be honest it was very basic – omelette, toast and either tea or coffee.
Hotel does have a basic rooftop area to chill out.
All in all okay for the money, but for a couple of dollars more some better options available.
