Great campgrounds. We felt far away from home but were only 30 minutes away. People were friendly. Staff were friendly. The trails were great. I really got my steps in with my dog. Very dog friendly. We had a very relaxing weekend. Will be back again next year and will bring some friends.

Upon arrival we received a warm welcome by the Shubie staff. The campsite is very clean, safe and quiet with a convenient proximity to exploring Dartmouth or Halifax. The sites are level and offer 30A and water. Also, there is a convenient dump station at your disposal. Definitely worth the trip!

Good for what I needed. I was on a road trip to halifax and wanted to camp to save on accommodation so this location was perfect. 20 minutes to downtown if you take the toll bridge ($1.50 per crossing). The front desk worker was very nice and even got me a ton of loonies and quarters for the bridge. ||That being said, as someone who loves camping I wouldn't recommend this place for an actual camping trip. Lots are small and no trees for privacy. You definitely don't get the outdoorsy experience being so close to the city. ||Another down side is their office hours. I put a deposit for a key card to open the gate since I was going to be in and out at odd times as I was touring the city. The deposit is returned when you return the key, but they only opened at 9am and I had to leave by 7am. I returned the key in their mailbox but won't get my deposit back. Just something to keep in mind.

A nice campground but could use some TLC. Not much gravel to pull a vehicle on to a site. Most sites are not level. Sites are close so a camp fire evening is difficult. But it is close to Halifax and has nearly unlimited walking and biking paths available from the campground.

This was our 4th annual trip to Shubie Campground. It is so close to the city but when you get there you feel like you are "away from it all". The campground is so well maintained, the bathrooms are clean and most of all the staff are wonderful, always willing to help with whatever you need. We stayed in the yurt and would highly recommend it to those that want to camp but do not want to set up and bring a tent. It is well equipped with futons, electricity and lamps. We will be booking again for 2025!!@

My wife and I weren't really interested in going to the playground, we came here for the park itself and it's canal. It seems like a regular small park, but it's very nice.|Lots of squirrels and ducks. Even though the park is in the city, there is very pleasant clean air here. Lots of benches for rest, which are very well located, with good angles, so that it would be nice to look at the water. You can also go kayaking here (one of the photos). Not that there's really a good path for that, but if you came to the park with kids, it would be an interesting activity for them. For a place within the city, it's great to relax in nature. Definitely a must-see at least once to decide if will be your favorite one(if you live nearby), or just to see a new place at least once.

I rented a trailer through RVeasy and stayed for one week with my husband, two teen kids and our Siberian Husky. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Campers were respectful and quiet. It was great to be close to the park trails to walk the dog. Property was well maintained. We didn’t use the amenities because we were visiting family in Dartmouth. Overall, a lovely city campsite!

The park is centrally located and we were able to bike down to the ferry terminal to go into Halifax. The washrooms were in good condition and clean. The park has many amenities and has a nice beach on a lake. The sites are fairly close together but we had a good chat with our neighbors who were there for a pickleball tournament.
