RV campground in a great location. It's located in Dartmouth with access to Halifax waterfront tourist attractions. It's adjacent to some great walking trails in Shubie Park. Facilities such as washrooms / showers / laundry are a bit tired, but serviceable. Most of the occupants are seasonal users, but the transient users seem to get located in one corner. Recommend sites 70-75 for more privacy.

A hidden gem located in the city. Some highway noise at night in the distance but it turned into white noise. Excellent welcome by the office staff, and the workers did a great job emptying our holding tanks throughout our stay. Province wide fire ban prevented us from having a campfire at night, but that's the only thing that was missing on our trip. Great trails to walk our dog. Easy drive into Halifax. We will definitely stay there again if/when we visit again. Thanks Shubie!!

Great campground with very helpful staff. We were going to Uber to Halifax Harbour and the gave us information to take the bus and ferry across which was really good and efficient and saved us quite a bit of money. After a long day of touring they recommended a great pizza place that delivered to our site! Bathrooms and showers were clean and water adjustable for a great shower.

Shubie Campground is a well operated urban campground with great staff who accommodate campers needs every day. I was on a cross Canada road trip from Vancouver and needed a place to stay for a couple of days while having some unexpected service done on my Sprinter camper van. Heather and Blair went out of their way to find a space for me and then during the busy time of their season they were able to find me several other sites so I could extend my stay for another 10 days. The on-field staff were great and friendly. The Campground is close to everything tourists might what to see. Its an easy drive into Halifax, its great there is lake swimming a short walk from the main campground. I had a great experience at this campground (lots of experiences in 3 months of travel) and highly recommend it to those in the HRD. Thanks folks for that great experience. J Taylor, Vancouver, BC

We stayed at Shubie Campground for 1 night. The service provided was super, with friendly staff and everything clearly explained/indicated for us as we arrived after the office had already closed. Location was really great, by a beach, and quiet. Bathrooms are really nice as well. Showers and laundry are also available, at a cost. This campsite has everything one needs to spend a great time, whether in a tent or otherwise.

I hesitate to give a good review, for fear that others will then book all the campsites and one won't be available when I need it :))|Our stay for a week at Shubie was absolutely great - Blair and Heather are such great people and were obviously happy to do a good job and be kind and friendly! Location can't be beat, you're camping and yet have all the conveniences of being in the middle of a city. Thank you to the great staff!|See you next year :)

If you are looking for private wilderness style camping, this is NOT the place for you. BUT if you are looking for a conveniently located, clean, family friendly campground look no further! We stayed at Shubie campground for 6 nights while visiting Nova Scotia and we were beyond satisfied with our stay. The staff was very friendly and the location was fantastic with the walking trails and beach right behind the campground. We will definitely be returning on our next visiti to the east coast

I’m surprised by the 4 star reviews. The campground has only one washroom not centrally located. They charge to take a shower (for 4 minutes!) and there are only two for the whole camp ground. Where our site was there is a great deal of public traffic passing by on foot and in cars with no security. In fact only 200 meters away there is a city sign saying to keep no valuables in your vehicle due to theft! For some reason they have a code to use the bathrooms (although the men’s door never closed so no need for a code). On the plus side, the location is great, close to Halifax and it is adjacent to a beautiful public park space with trails, lakes, beaches. It was also clean.

Yelp
This "campground" is barely big enough to contain all of the bullshit your in store for should you enter it's grounds (all 50 feet of them). I know what your thinking however, I bet the compensate by having a wonderful staff and a variety of park like activities (as this closely resembles a park with a fixation on dictatorship) but this is not the case, in particular this old lady had me fearing for my own life and those of the small children jammed into this grounds. While closely resembling the features of a gargoyle, her communication skills mirror her image. She is also quite liberal with assigning blame, and punishment... which of course is a hefty fine. Should you happen to find yourself in this area please prepare yourself by simply turning around and not endangering your wallet or pride. Truly the worst experience I've had camping, please don't share in my mistake
