Loves my first visit to this place. The service was impeccable. I arrived one late afternoon with pasta and seafood on my tastebuds. Was happy to find this place catered to both. It was a warm and humid day but I sat outside anyway and enjoyed watching the passerby’s. The waitress was EXCELLENT! She even confirmed I wanted water with my drink order which has been a rarity in my experience with ilm restaurants. I had the Ceviche appetizer. The pineapples were very fresh and sweet but the overall taste lacked seasoning/flavor. I visit the islands often and have this so I admit to. Ring a bit of a Ceviche snob as I’m used to that fishy taste melded with the cilantro and seasonings. I finished it without a drop left so not too bad just disappointed. My main entree was Blackened Shrimp Alfredo. Again everything tasted fresh but the flavor was lacking. I had left overs the next day and it seems there was more seasoning. Good, but not the greatest. I included the Key Lime Pie for dessert. My biggest complaint here is that the portion was not big enough. It was great! I will definitely visit again and try more of the seafood on the menu.

I really don’t know where to start, but let’s start with service. The service at this location is the tip of the iceberg for me. After walking down front street with our big dog, we were turned around by multiple restaurant/bars. Staff greeted us with open arms and put us in the back patio area overlooking the cape fear river(beautiful) the food was absolutely spectacular and the drinks were ice ****ing cold! Oysters were plump and delicious while the wings were crispy and saucy just like they’re supposed to be. **HIGHLY RECOMMEND**

Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar is a great spot for a casual seafood lunch or dinner. This small storefront in downtown has a sports bar atmosphere with plenty of TVs to keep you entertained while you enjoy your meal.
The seafood was fresh and delicious, and the portions were filling. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. If you're looking for a satisfying seafood meal, Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar is definitely worth a visit.

After a 8hr drive we could not wait to get our hands on some food. This place came highly recommended by some friends that used to love in the area and it definitely held true to the hype. We were able to call in our order ahead of time so that we could take it to our final destination. The person that answered the phone was friendly and very helpful. My husband ordered blackened mahi and tuna tacos, both were delicious. I ordered the crab cake sandwich with fries and coleslaw, also delicious and a warm welcome back to Carolina. Would definitely recommend to friends & family, & we will return on our next trip to Carolina.

Three of us all got lobster rolls and shared a crab balls appetizer. I’ve wanted to go to this location ever since seeing Beard Meats Food. The crab balls were much bigger than I expected crab balls to be.

Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar in Wilmington, NC, is an absolute gem! Having visited about six times now, I can confidently say it's one of my favorite spots. With 8 TVs dedicated to sports, 16 draft beers, and a vast selection of bottles, cans, and signature cocktails, it's the perfect place to unwind.
Starting off with a cup of clam chowder is a must - it's the best I've ever had. The menu is packed with delicious options, making it hard to choose just one entrée. Their seasonal oyster selection is always a hit, and they also offer an impressive variety of clams, shrimp, mussels, and crab legs.
My personal favorites include The Greggah, a fresh lobster roll straight out of Boston, and the Blackened Shrimp Alfredo pasta. The Hermit is another standout - I love swapping the standard cod for Ahi Tuna. Their sides are just as spectacular, especially the mac and cheese and the hush puppies with honey cinnamon butter - an insanely good combination.
Whether you're on the front or back patios on a nice day, or inside at the bar or tables when it's raining, the atmosphere is always fantastic. The staff is incredibly friendly and funny, making every visit memorable. I always ask for Morgan when dining in or hang out with Alexiss and Claire at the bar. They really know how to ensure you have a "shuckin" good time here!
Highly recommend Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar for anyone looking for great food, drinks, and an all-around excellent experience!

Food was good overall but somewhat underwhelmed with crab legs. They were quite flavorful but skinny. Wife liked the clam chowder and we also liked the wings but their shucking hot sauce is really hot, …nice.
