Relics enshrined within the stupa include eight strands of hair that belonged to Siddhartha Gautama. Dress conservatively and be ready to walk barefoot. Singuttara Hill, Yangon."

Very beautiful golden pagoda in Myanmar. Every 5 years, preventive maintenance will be done and this is pic for every 5 years. The best time to visit during 5 to 6 pm, so that you can see both day and night time. K20,000 for foreigner and reasonable price.

What an amazing and magical place. I have been lucky enough to visit many times over the years. I highly recommend you visit around an hour before sunset and enjoy the transition from day to night. Dress appropriately and it is safe to leave shoes at the entrance.

I visited the Shwedagon Pagoda on January 9, and it was absolutely stunning. This impressive and beautiful pagoda is spread over a large area, so it’s worth taking your time to walk around and soak in the atmosphere. As one of Yangon’s most significant landmarks, it draws a larger crowd than other pagodas, but it’s still an unforgettable experience. With one ticket, you can only enter once, so it’s a good idea to arrive before sunset and stay into the evening. That way, you can enjoy its beauty both during the day and when it’s illuminated at night. Truly a must-see!

I went to the pagoda, and it was truly beautiful. The design was really beautiful, showcasing intricate details and stunning craftsmanship. It is an important pagoda for Buddhists, holding great spiritual significance with many, many fascinating stories behind it. The Shwedagon Pagoda is a sacred place for Buddhists to visit and pray. Visitors can pour water on the Buddha image on their birthday and make a wish at the prayer area, adding a deeply personal and spiritual experience to their visit. Walking around, I could feel the sacred atmosphere and admire the deep cultural heritage it represents. The golden stupa and surrounding structures make it a mesmerizing place to visit, whether for spiritual reflection or simply to appreciate its beauty. I highly recommend visiting this iconic landmark for anyone traveling to Yangon.

The Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon is an awe-inspiring landmark and a must-visit for anyone in Myanmar. Its golden stupa, glistening under the sun or lit up at night, creates a breathtaking sight. Beyond its beauty, it’s a place where I always find myself connecting with locals and having wonderful conversations, adding a personal and meaningful layer to the visit. The atmosphere is deeply spiritual, with locals and visitors alike offering prayers and making their rounds. Exploring the intricate details, from the smaller shrines to the cultural significance of the planetary posts, is a fascinating experience. Visiting at sunset adds a magical touch as the changing light enhances the pagoda’s beauty. Be prepared to walk barefoot, as shoes and socks are not allowed inside the grounds, and dress modestly to respect local customs. A small entry fee applies for foreigners, but the experience is absolutely worth it!

Burma is another destination that I want to visit.nice and friendly people. Many places for visit. There are many stories to discover. Especially Rangoon. The capital of Burma, home to the world's largest golden pagoda, Shwedagon Pagoda. It is famous and has a lot of history. Unfortunately, on the day I went, the sky was a little dark and it was raining. It made time saving to see it quickly. The strict officials made the tour. seem rushed and stressful. A lot of people are flocking to worship. This sacred golden pagoda. My friends and I who joined the tour group, we traveled here by taxi because we were not sure. How long would it take to travel by public transportation. Because of the heavy traffic. I recommend that if there is a motorcycle taxi, you should choose to use the service if you do not have much time. But that's it. It is risky to have an accident on the road. Burmese art related to Buddhism. The beautiful and outstanding color of gold makes this pagoda one of the most famous in the world. I wish to come back to visit here again. But I do not know what the internal conflict situation is like in Burma. However, I will come here again. P.S. Please listen to the officials of this place because the officials are very strict.
