What an amazing and magical place. I have been lucky enough to visit many times over the years. I highly recommend you visit around an hour before sunset and enjoy the transition from day to night. Dress appropriately and it is safe to leave shoes at the entrance.

With one ticket, you can only enter once, so it’s a good idea to arrive before sunset and stay into the evening. That way, you can enjoy its beauty both during the day and when it’s illuminated at night. Truly a must-see!

The golden stupa and surrounding structures make it a mesmerizing place to visit, whether for spiritual reflection or simply to appreciate its beauty. I highly recommend visiting this iconic landmark for anyone traveling to Yangon.

Be prepared to walk barefoot, as shoes and socks are not allowed inside the grounds, and dress modestly to respect local customs. A small entry fee applies for foreigners, but the experience is absolutely worth it!

The capital of Burma, home to the world's largest golden pagoda, Shwedagon Pagoda. It is famous and has a lot of history. Unfortunately, on the day I went, the sky was a little dark and it was raining. It made time saving to see it quickly. The strict officials made the tour. seem rushed and stressful. A lot of people are flocking to worship. This sacred golden pagoda. My friends and I who joined the tour group, we traveled here by taxi because we were not sure. How long would it take to travel by public transportation. Because of the heavy traffic. I recommend that if there is a motorcycle taxi, you should choose to use the service if you do not have much time. But that's it. It is risky to have an accident on the road. Burmese art related to Buddhism. The beautiful and outstanding color of gold makes this pagoda one of the most famous in the world. I wish to come back to visit here again.
