Shymbulak Resort Hotel

We visited Shymbulak Resort for skiing, and it turned out to be a very nice and cozy place to stay. The resort has all the necessary arrangements for skiing, which made the experience very convenient and hassle-free. It is also located very close to the ski institute as well as the practice run, making it ideal for beginners and families. We visited in December 2025 The restaurant was excellent, offering a good variety of both Western and local dishes, all of which were delicious and comforting after a day on the slopes. A special mention to Daniel, who was always ready to help and went out of his way to assist us, even with our ski gear. His warmth and helpful nature truly enhanced our stay. Overall, a wonderful resort with great facilities and hospitality. Highly recommended for a skiing holiday.

The place is very comfortable with affordable price. The staffs are very friendly and helpful especially the doorman. The food also were delicious & variety. Love the breakfast. If you are travelling from outside of Kazakhstan, you can make a payment via official website or booking dotcom. Thank you Shymbulak Resort!

Although we missed the snow in early December, the hotel stay made up for it. A minor thing was not working in room and could not be fixed. We were surprised our room got upgraded. Thanks to our lovely receptionists. The food in hotel was fine; staff could have been more friendly. Hotel is easy to get to and you can arrange transport up and down easily.

Really excellent family hotel with friendly staff, a great breakfast every morning and good facilities. Very relaxed atmosphere, good cozy rooms and outdoor pool was a hit with our children and adults enjoyed the sauna. Perfect location for accessing the slopes. Met lots of people- from Kazakhstan and other countries. |All in all very good experience!

Amazing location 👌🏻 Sound isolation in room could be better. Outside pool could be bigger and more heated ( but this is subjective opinion so it could work for others) Best come with Yandex ( electric car needed)

Rooms are very small but clean. Location is good. Service is very slow. Receptionist doesn’t understand basic english, politeness should improve. Breakfast has not much options.

We visited Shymbulak Resort in April 2024 and had an amazing experience. The scenery was stunning, and the whole atmosphere felt peaceful and refreshing. The ski instructors were professional and friendly, making us feel safe and confident even as beginners. The resort staff were also incredibly kind and helpful—special thanks to Olzhas and Niyaz, who were especially warm and welcoming. Their hospitality made a big difference and truly enhanced our stay. Breakfast at the resort was also fantastic! There was a great variety of dishes, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The restaurant’s location was perfect—with huge windows offering breathtaking views of the mountains. Sitting there with a warm meal and such a view was simply unforgettable. We would absolutely love to come back next winter. Shymbulak is highly recommended for anyone looking for a beautiful and memorable winter escape!
