I had a great dining experience here at Siam Talay. The food was very tasty, very chill ambiance and staff greeted us with a smile. Lyle was our server and she is very attentive and efficient in taking our orders and getting it served promptly. She also offered us best choices on the menu which we really appreciated. Overall it was a great experience! Definitely will recommend to my friends and family to visit this place.

Google
Located within the Inn at Lost Creek, Siam's Talay Grille was a great little breakfast buffet spot for us in the mornings. We stayed at the Madeline next door but were able to visit here for their breakfast buffet that is free for guests of the Inn and 18 dollars per person if your not a guest. In any event this is a good spot to keep in mind as it can be difficult to get breakfast in the village if you get a late start to the morning. Talay has plenty of room and both the views from the deck and buffet were great. Service was good too!

My wife and I order a peanut sauce stirfry. I had it with pork and she had tofu. Very flavorful, well prepared, generous portions. I would definitely come back.

Google
After 7 years this would be my forever favorite fried rice! In fact to fly all the way from Dallas to mountain village for a weekend to have this rice is worth the money!

I just wrote a review but got kicked out to short and simple is YUM! Everything was delicious including the cocktails. I got Khao Soi and added chilly oil via spice rack. I do recommend a reservation. We did not have one but ate dinner early enough we got a seat in the bar area which is small but with great decor and a great view. Sam who worked in the bar took great care of all of us there.

Google
Excellent food. Crab Rangoon, dumplings, pad see ew, pad soon sen. all excellent. Good service as well

Google
Great Thai food. Always quality and tasty. Not sure it can be improved. My gluten free wife ate there, no problems.

Google
Quite possibly the most frustrating and disrespectful experience here. They quoted 25 minutes for a takeout order on the phone. I ended up waiting an extra 45 minutes for our food. As I asked multiple times for a refund, the manager kept running away from me to go hide in the back kitchen while a young girl at the front kept telling me that only the manager could process a refund. I was essentially held hostage. To make matters worse, as the manager finally returned from her hiding spot, she tried to tell me that the food was only 5 minutes past the quoted time. As I showed her my call log, she responded by saying “I meant 5 minutes past the time on the ticket, not when you called”. So instead of an apology, I received a flat out lie. Horrible operation. Oh and the food is not much better than the service.

Yelp
This spot had our whole group coming back repeatedly for more food the whole weekend we were in Telluride. We have a few vegetarians in our crew who pegged this as their favorite spot of the weekend and I'd have to agree. Based on the waiters recommendation I ordered the Khao Soi with fried tofu and which I'd never had before. He really sold it to get me to order that because if it's on the menu I almost always like to order chicken pad see ew. I was really happy with my choice and would make the same decision again! It was a delicious mix of coconut creaminess and savory spices with noodles and perfectly fried tofu. It made great leftovers too! We will definitely be back to Siam Talay next year when we are back in telluride. My mouth is watering thinking about it now.

Yelp
The Siam Talay Grille located at the Inn at Lost Creek in the Mountain Village is a welcoming and well managed restaurant. It offers a great selection of your traditional Thai favorites; we had a great dinner in an intimate setting and pleasant setting. Our neighboring table had a baby crying and a kiddo running everywhere. So, that was not ideal. They offer handcrafted cocktails and wine in a cozy bar where you can enjoy a glorious mountain sunset.

Stephanie G.

Yelp
We all loved our food! I got Singha Beer and chicken pad Thai. Perfect combo! My partner got the glass noodles dish, don't know why they got bad reviews in the past but the service was great, ambiance was nice and we will definitely come back!

Eesha G.

Yelp
Coconut soup was good. Pad Thai was good. Braised beef panang is very meaty tasting and taste nothing like panang. Food took a long time to come. Waiter was nice but timing was annoying. I don't think I'd come back here. I overheard someone arguing about a service fee for to go orders. Who charges a service fee of 20% for pick up order????

Ace A.

Yelp
Best of the best restaurant in Telluride - awesome flavors. Great service, love Siam!

Josh W.

Yelp
Great food and service. We enjoyed it so much we went back multiple times over our trip to Telluride. Everything we ordered was amazing. Our servers were always very good and kind.

Jackie K.

Yelp
I was surprised that perhaps my favorite meal in Telluride (really, Mountain Village) was from a Thai restaurant--our meal from Siam Talay was delicious! We shared the pad thai and the pad see ew, both with chicken, and thought both dishes were super tasty.

Jeera T.

Yelp
Took a trip to telluride this week. Though I give this place another try. With a half filled restaurant l, this place seems to be very busy. It took over 15 minutes to get my food. The server was very rude and got my order wrong. I ordered Green curry the brought me the panang. The pad Thai was overly sweet. The panang was way too salty. Do not come to this place. Overpriced and poor quality service and food.

Greg L.

Yelp
If you are looking for great Thai in the Mountain Village, this is the place to go. The ambiance is nice and the servers very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Contemporary Thai Scallops that came with broccoli, carrots, various spices and fried rice. The scallops were perfectly seared and there were a lot of them. I was surprised by the quantity and quality of the scallops! Exceptional flavor! For dessert, we shared the Triple Layer Chocolate Mousse Cake and the Banana Lumpia. The Banana Lumpia was an experience I never tried before. It consisted of hand rolled fried lumpia filled with sweet banana and coconut, drizzled with caramel and served with ice cream. Delicious!! Excellent choice for dinner if you are looking for a fresh and tasty Thai experience.

Yelp
This is Telluride's Mountain Village, so if you think it should cost $10-$15, double it for the price. It's to be expected. We had shishito peppers as an appetizer and there were easily 30 (!) in that bowl. We had about 4 zingers that definitely made me wish I had bread handy, but otherwise were fairly mild. Really good. 5/5 for what I expected. The Siam salad was big enough to split, so we did. It was a 3/5 in flavor and definitely more hearty lettuces. No junk, but the flavor was just fine. I had drunken noodles and I'd say I wished it had more Thai basil and tomatoes which usually make the dish what it is. I'd say I've had better and give it as 3/5. My husband had a chicken stir fry with a side of fried rice and it was good. 4/5 For $77+ without tip, it was about right, but sure have had better drunken noods. Really great location in mountain village, but the name on the front is "Talay" instead of Siam Talay, so be aware. I'd go with 3.5 stars to average out the eats we ordered, but no half-sies... so 4 it is.

Lindsay F.

Yelp
In the 4 years we've been coming to Telluride, we have always stayed away from this restaurant due to the not-so-great reviews. However, we were really craving Thai food our first night in town so we decided to give it a go. The restaurant was fully committed when we walked in (try to make a res ahead of time!) but the hostess was so kind and was able to find us a table for 2 around 7pm. The service was great, although we had to wait quite some time for our food, possibly because they were a bit understaffed. We ordered the red curry chicken and chicken pad si ew and neither dish disappointed! We're glad we gave this restaurant a try, because their food is awesome!

Emily C.

Yelp
The food is really good and authentic. I'm an immigrant Asian so you know what I mean.. The servers are also amazing. We had a great time. Thank you, folks..

Todd B.

Yelp
Delicious Thai food, and the night we were there, they were very busy, so service was slow but very friendly. It's on the noisy side, but not excessively so.

Gigi V.

Yelp
Delicious but very inconsistent. We stay at the Inn at Lost Creek quite often and end up eating here because it's so easy. You just walk down from your room at the Inn. We've had almost everything on the menu and from our ten or so times of eating here, the curries are the best things on the menu by far. For some reason all of the noodle dishes seem to be mealy, mushy with very meh flavor, not the Thai food flavor bursting with Thai basil and spices we've become used to after living in Thailand and eating at many Thai restaurants. And they overload most dishes with red and green peppers, I get it, they're cheap fillers but when you charge $30 plus for the smallest Thai entrees I've ever had, I wish they had more diverse veggies. You don't find one dish with red and green peppers in authentic Thai food, Thai people would be horrified. Also, portion sizes are small, I mean really small so expect that. I have to say the best part of the meals are the wait staff. They are ALL amazing, friendly and attentive. The young blonde ish colored hair male bartender in the bar area is so rude and put out that you actually want to eat at his bar! Oh the nerve of guests that aren't one of his Bros.... The next night we had drinks and the other bartender , a young woman with long hair, was nicer, but not that nice. The servers/hosts in the actual restaurant are the best and always make our experience better. They deserve 10 stars!!! I truly hope the food gets more authentic and more consistent, we really love staying at this old school Inn on the mountain and look forward to eating here again.

Rachel M.

Yelp
The service was great but it's probably the worst Thai food I've ever had. The Pad Thai was terrible, the chicken dumpling app was awful. The only decent thing we tried were the crab wontons.

Kayla C.

Yelp
I don't love giving 1 star reviews but unfortunately they give me no choice. My friends and I ordered chicken pad Thai to go and what received on our to go order was noodles and oil. No flavor whatsoever. Bland chicken, no cilantro. By far the worst pad Thai I've ever ordered. We called, explaining dissatisfaction and they said "we don't over sauce our pad Thai." Let me tell you, there was NO sauce. The noodles were literally white. When it came suggest by multiple friends you could say I am very dissatisfied.

Izzy M.

Yelp
Overpriced, unreasonably expensive, and plagiarized a local business! My family and I have visited both Siam Talay grille and Siam in Telluride, and I'd have to say Siam in Telluride takes the cake. The reason I say this is because of how overpriced and inadequate the portion sizing at Siam Talay grille is. Additionally, the menu in both restaurants is nearly identical (with disparity in pricing, portion sizes, and quality). Upon further research, Siam Talay Grille actually plagiarized both the name (Siam) and menu from a small business in town. Not only up charging customers, but radically decreasing quality of food as well as increasing prices. If you are looking for great food and a great experience, please visit Siam in the town of Telluride at 200 South Davis Street! Not to be confused with any other restaurant:)

Yelp
Based upon the good recommendations of some hot tub acquaintances, we decided to try the Siam Crispy Duck ($33). We started with some fried Pork Dumplings (5 for $12) which were ordinary. Certainly no better than the frozen pot stickers from Costco. But then I tried a Tempura Gulf Shrimp hand roll ($7) and that was delightfully crisp and fresh tasting. The Crispy Duck was boneless and easy to eat. It was tender and juicy with a light crisp breading. The Pad King Sod vegetables were cooked perfectly in a light ginger glaze. The entree was thoroughly enjoyable and I recommend that you try it.

Laura H.

Yelp
My favorite dinner of our trip to telluride! I didn't get any photos because it got devoured so quickly. We got the appetizer sampler, duck with drunken noodles, braised beef, and chicken with peanut sauce. It was all delicious. We ate family style and 3 entrees was plenty of food for 4 people. The star was definitely the crispy duck. So tender and flavorful. Wow. We finished off with banana lumpia with coconut ice cream. In addition, the waitress was very friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly. Would definitely recommend!

A. C.

Yelp
Business hours, menu, and phone number on here are all outdated. Go to their website for current info. Food is good

Donna P.

Yelp
We've been served by Josh many times yet he seemed to not know much tonite. Jackie hostess was awesome and in the perfect position for her personality. Spring rolls chicken dumplings (fried better than steamed which were cold) and duck and elk steamed buns all excellent. Peanut stir fry with duck was good. The spinach salad would have been much better had I not had to pick out all the cucumber and onion (due to food intolerance) which were not on the menu. Highly recommend all ingredients be listed on menu.

Sabrina B.

Yelp
A bit disappointed, quality and authenticity did not match price. The peanut stir fry was essentially the satay sauce dumped on the veges and wagyu beef. Heavy and too thick, not well executed. Server was attentive.

Jordan A.

Yelp
Had an amazing experience here. The staff is very attentive and clearly knows what they are doing. The manager Emma made us feel extra special and gave us an experience we will never forget! Our Telluride vacation has been nothing short of amazing !!!

Mrs K.

Yelp
This restaurant is pretty good. We like their curry and their chicken dumplings are delicious as well. The only thing is they changed a few things on their menu. They used to serve really good fried chicken but they changed it, and in my opinion its not as good as the original was. Other than that, I would say this restaurant has good food and you should definitely check it out.

Michael B.

Yelp
Don't let any negative review turn you off. I'm in the middle of my meal right now and everything is delicious. A clear step above any neighborhood Thai place I've been to. Service A+. Food came out really quickly. And the quality... Wow. The chef cares about this food. Flavors out of this world. And it's not just the wine talking! We had chicken satay, fried dumplings, green curry, and crispy duck drunken noodle. 10/10.

Aaron S.

Yelp
Food was decent. Incredibly overpriced for what you get. We ordered a $25+ curry and the to go container was half full. The noddles with an expensive up charge to have steak were okay, but the steak was way overcooked.

Kristen C.

Yelp
They just opened up for take-out after the pandemic stuff, and they were awesome! We've always loved our food from here, and tried the Panang curry this time. Best Panang curry we've had in years! I highly recommend this place for Thai food.

Teresa T.

Yelp
Husband ordered the drunken noodles and his comment was, "it's pretty hard to mess up drunken noodles." He said 2.5 stars but due to the price made it 2.

Chad H.

Yelp
First of all, lets be clear. This is not a Thai Restaurant. The sign out front does not say Thai. The website does not say Thai. It is "An Asian Tapas and Seafood" restaurant. It is also located at 9,500 feet above sea level. In a ski resort. In a hotel. That being said, the food, for the most part, was tasty yet bland, the service was decent, and I would come back. In fact, this was my second visit. We started with the chicken satay. It was juicy, not burnt, and had a char broiled aroma. The peanut sauce was thick but not too thick. Next was the king crab roll and the beef roll. Both were delicious, had great sauces, and left us wanting more. The drunkin noodle was terrible and gummy. I would not order again. The southern thai salad was light, refreshing and was top notch. Finally, we enjoyed the scallops with an assortment of dipping sauces. Overall, a bland but mostly delicious asian tapas restaurant.

Michelle L.

Yelp
I went here for a date night out. The food was surprisingly bland. We got the short ribs as appetizer- the ribs were burned and had absolutely ZERO seasoning. It was shocking how tasteless they were. We got the Tom Yum soup and that was decent. The tempura shrimp was also pretty tasty. Unfortunately our main entree was the peanut stir fry (for...28 dollars????) and it was a very normal, slightly soggy, bland tasting stir fry. If you're looking for good thai food, this probably isn't the place to go. It's consumable, but the flavors are fairly mediocre for the price that they charge. I really did want to like it!

Max V.

Yelp
No one answers the phone so it's hard to make reservations. All calls go to a recording. Their phone message pushes you to Open Table but you can't make reservations for more than 4 people.

Joe V.

Yelp
What a great experience this evening -the food and service were second to none ! Cynthia and Evan treated us like we were VIP's tonight. We started with several great cocktails - including a house made Sake Tini And a Flatliner- very delicious ‼. Add the Suret Sunset to the list if you love Aperol / Prosecco. The Phuket Cooler was savory and almost like a vodka gimlet. For starters - do not pass up and order of the Tempura Shishito Peppers( truly the best I've ever had ) and the Pork Steamed bun ( savory and tons of flavor ). Our main entrees were the scallops with a sweet potato reduction (yummy) and the chicken peanut stir fry ( so fresh). The portions are large and great plates for sharing. Finally , the chili flake brownie was tdf- light and decadent , all at the same time. We cannot forget to mention the high end Service that was helpful and friendly, yet not over bearing. Give this establishment an opportunity, because they truly value their patrons ‼

Samantha D.

Yelp
This place is quite unique. Small and great service - our waitress was great and explained how the tapas menu works. Everything was good but the calamari is probably the best I have had

Pa T.

Yelp
Just left this place. Found hair in the peanut stir fry. The server simply said " there's no way to tell who a hair. Just FYI I'm bald. Don't come to this place.

Amy J.

Yelp
OVERVIEW: Thoroughly disappointed. A lot of things on the menu were hit and miss, and even the best things I tasted were pretty mediocre. The slow service, high price, and attempt at fusion food definitely missed the mark. A shame, just because I love Telluride so much, and this place is in such a fantastic location. I think the original Siam's is better than this place. First of all, the decor is incredibly tacky and try-hard. With many fountains, multiple buddha statues, beads strung over objects, flowers, plushy exotic pillows, statues, random vases, baubles hanging off of things, the place reeked of inauthenticity. The decor was eclectic and was not in the least bit streamlined. It definitely foreshadowed the type of food to come. Second of all, the service was INCREDIBLY SLOW. I made a reservation at 6:45, and we weren't seated until 7:00 even though the place wasn't packed. It wasn't until 7:50 did we get our appetizers, and 8:20 til our entrees. The tea had even taken them 15 minutes to get to the table. I had more than drained my class until we had to ask to get our water refilled, which at that point I had already drank a portion of my brother's water too. Our waiter was pretty energetic and passionate, but he also resorted to self-deprecating jokes about the food and service which did not give off a great impression. He hyped up the food so much that it led to even a greater disappointment. And the most important aspect, the food! The menu consisted of hand rolls, gwa pao (a steamed white dough-y pancake that is then folded so that it may be filled with meat and other things. I am very familiar with these being Asian American), and entrees. THE APPETIZERS: The hand rolls are pretty hit and miss. I had ordered a salmon hand roll, and I swear the chef forgot the sauce. The pate and the crispy duck hand rolls were pretty good. The gwa pao were pretty good, pretty standard. I wished for a little bit more balance, complexity, and sweetness however. Their play on some fusion asian chowder was SO incredibly salty. Our table of 7 did not even come close to finishing it. Food being overly salty was a pretty common thread throughout the night. THE ENTREES: These were pretty hit and miss as well. My lobster tail came with a pretty great butter sauce but it did tend to overpower the delicate flavor of the lobster. My father and family friend had overcooked proteins. The attempt at fusion indian food consisted of sour, overcooked, dry, and over-cumined chicken. My siblings entrees were just pretty good, nothing spectacular. THE PRICE: We ordered enough to be satisfied, but not enough to be completely full. Despite this, the bill ended up to be $300 for 7 people! Definitely more expensive than we had anticipated and exceptionally overpriced for the food we ate.

Pru L.

Yelp
The spicing of the food here is absolutely delicious! I savored every bite full and made sure to have just a light lunch in preparation for eating here for dinner! My husband and I came here for an anniversary dinner. The service was excellent although our waiter made just a couple of inattentive errors. (Made up for it in just overall pleasant attitude.). We had a nice table by the window and the outdoor seating would have been wonderful as well. A great mountainside gem!

Jackie J.

Yelp
Pretty good. A little short on spice and fresh vegetables. All in all not bad, I would return.

Edward W.

Yelp
I have eaten here many times, can't seem to not come back. The service is fantastic and the staff makes you feel at home. I enjoy the laid back atmosphere and the great Thai menu.

Carrie G.

Yelp
We ate at the location on the ski mountain. The 2 star is for the food.... pretty good. I would give the staff no stars. Terrible customer service. They spilled on my son and my daughter, had to ask several times for our app, dishes were dirty, sent them back, came back wet and dirty... I hope the manager reads this. We will never be back.

A. G.

Yelp
We had absolutely excellent service from the moment we arrived - attentive friendly servers and the manager swung by to check on us and other tables around us. However, the wonderful service can't make up for poor food. I had the winter special tonight, which was a Choo Chee curry with crispy duck. I imagined a really excellent red curry with kaffir lime and duck with crispy skin (the best part!) What I got was deep-fried duck with a brownish sauce that had no curry flavor whatsoever and in no way resembled a traditional choo chee. It also had no spice to it at all despite asking for medium heat. $30 for a sub-par dish. Ouch. I sampled my husband's pad Thai and nearly spat it out. The overwhelming taste was of old fish. I strongly suspect their fish sauce has gone rancid. We've given Siam a few tries over the years but sadly, this will be the last visit for us.

Hilary S.

Yelp
I never write Yelp reviews but I felt like I had to do so after this dinner. Talay's food was delicious!! It was the best Thai food I have had in ages (and I LOVE Thai food)! Thank you for such a fantastic dinner!

Kearsten A.

Yelp
The man at the front desk was extremely rude and not wanting to accommodate my family because we had a sleeping baby. Once we finally got seated the waiter was nice, but wasn't all there, she brought out 4 out of 6 meals(one of the 4 meals was also missing the rice that came with it) and as we waited patiently for our food after 30 minutes we asked if it was coming and turns out the cooks hadn't even started cooking it! (She also forgot something for the table next to us) So we finally got the rest of our food the man from the front desk came over and rushed us out because another party was coming in and he wanted the stroller gone. I will not recommend this to anyone in the area if you have kids you will feel extremely unwelcomed.

Greg B.

Yelp
A small yet beautifully decorated restaurant in the heart of Mountain Village, we thoroughly enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the casual charm of this bistro. I had the peanut stir fry with chicken and my partner has the Pad Tai. Both dishes were fresh, savory and perfectly seasoned. The flavors came through beautifully. The prices are a bit on the high side, but considering the prices all over Telluride and Mountain Village, the costs are fair.

Brian H.

Yelp
We were hesitant to come due to only having 3.5 stars and the cost of the meals but we were pleasantly surprised. We got the drunken noodles and Panang curry with chicken. It was delicious! Highly recommend!

Brittany G.

Yelp
This place never disappoints! This was our third visit and the food and service are just remarkable! Our server John was super attentive and when they were out of a glass of wine that I had ordered he was quick to offer suggestions for similar wines and even brought us some complimentary edamame and sake! I had the drunken noodles with shrimp and my fiancé had the Pad Thai with chicken with the crispy spare ribs as an appetizer! Absolutely delicious! And the views from the restaurant are gorgeous! Worth every penny!

David D.

Yelp
Disappointed. Satay was spongy. Most of the meat (chicken & elk) was pretty fatty. The Thai fried rice w chicken was very good. But the sampling of lettuce wrap, bun, hand rolls was not good.

Grace S.

Yelp
Best Thai food in Mtn Village & Telluride!!! The GM, Brooke is so thoughtful and friendly. This place is really detail oriented and it shows! Great Pad Thai, drunken noodles and curry! Check it out

D C.

Yelp
I typically don't one star establishments... but based on the fact that This restaurant is affiliated with the Siam in town it warrants a one star review. Our experience with their restaurant in town is a 5 star experience. Last night, was the complete opposite. Our food was so bad that it was laughable. Our handrolls were tasteless. My friend ordered a salad that had main ingredients missing... it was seriously like we were at a soft opening... in their defense, after complaining (again, not something I do), they did comp us for a good chunk of our bill. Maybe an off night for them, but, I will not be returning.

Ryan S.

Yelp
Stay away from Talay First, let's set the stage... This place is an Asian restaurant in the bottom of a hotel and the food is closer to take out than a Michelin Star. Several laughable moments during our visit...mostly about the service, but the food received a few chuckles as well. All of the employees seemed bothered and overwhelmed with their half filled restaurant. The bartender even guilted a couple into leaving his bar because he was "just too overwhelmed"... The apps and entrees were served all at the same time. My Pad Thai and elk steamed bun were so-so. Another person at my table had the Pad se-ew, oddly spelt "Pad se-eaw" on the menu?? Apparently the extra "a" is their special laxative, sure did its job! ;-) Avoid this place until Gordon Ramsay or Tabatha take it over...
