The 8 Best Hostels in Bangkok (Updated 2025)

"I found Siamaze to be a quiet but social option — located in a peaceful neighborhood, it still runs weekly events like Thai cooking classes and Friday night BBQs, and every room features artwork by local artists within a contemporary Thai design. They provide thoughtful amenities such as privacy curtains on all bunks, large personal lockers with charging sockets, shared kitchen facilities, en-suite rooms with private balconies, and family rooms that sleep up to four, making it a good choice if you want to be social without staying in the heart of Khao San Road." - Matthew Kepnes

I had a wonderful experience. My second time here. A mix age group of locals and foreigners. Great shared space, spacious clean female bathrooms and room, staff are friendly and help with a smile. Lots of socialising without intoxication. A quick walk to the train station and easy to get to the airport. A 15 minute ride to the grand station or bus stop to the islands. Thank you for the awesome safe stay.

Excellent hostel to stay either short or long term. All staff are extremely friendly and helpful, amenities are great and clean with common spaces to chill and relax. Self-serving breakfast is simple and delicious. They have various activities and events running from cooking classes, BBQ party, karaoke and city strolls to name a few. Location-wise, it is within walking distance (15mins walk) to a MRT station and there are restaurants and convenience stores around the area as well. Great place to stay at and I would be coming back! 😊

The most beautiful place i have come across as a hostel!! Neat, polite staff, great breakfast, almost 10/10... but the only thing that i don't get is that... From my experience nowhere, I got asked to pay for towel!! 50 baht ain't nothing but why? Even the cheapest places give towels inclusive with the price!! Beside that i love everything about the Siamaze hostel!!! I definitely will visit and also will suggest it to friends and family!!! ❤️❤️❤️ hope to see you next year ❤️❤️❤️

I stayed here for a total of 4 nights, 5 days and I loved it. The rooms were very clean and the lockers were big enough to fit my largest suitcase with room to spare so I always felt safe regarding my belongings. To get to rooms as well you had to scan a card twice both at the front door and at the room so that definitely added to me feeling very safe and secure. There was make your own breakfast every morning with toast, eggs, fried rice, and fruit which was always a very nice start to my day. The location is the only thing that wasn’t the most ideal. It is a 10 minute walk from the train station which is close and no problem but to get to some of the different areas I wanted to visit: central world, grand palace, etc it could be 45 mins to an hour on the train away. Something to note depending on where you plan on going in Bangkok. That being said Bangkok is huge so I’m sure there are tradeoffs no matter where you stay. Overall I was very happy with my stay here and would recommend to any travelers look for inexpensive, clean, accommodation

Amazing hostel to stay at, large beds, quiet for sleeping. Large lockers provided for your stuff. Great chill out/tv room and free breakfast buffet is top tier! Highly recommend this hostel, it’s close to the metro for easy access into the centre

The receptionist is the face of the hotel/hostel, and Siamaze Hostel was lucky to get a beautiful one. I think her name was Jane. She was really kind and understanding to me after I had a long and tiring trip. She also acted and looked professional. The breakfast is included and its a small buffet. Fulfilling. Drinking water is provided. on sutarday they have a BBQ and karaoke. Its safe due to multiple locked doors on the way to the room. Bathrooms are spacious and are sex separate. TV room with large comfortable sofas and AC. Location is not beautiful, but not far from the central bus and train station Mo chit, it was easy to take a public bus from there to the hostel. - 1 star for the room door, which was loudly opening and closing especially, and beeping each time. When one was closing it, it felt like the whole room shook. And there was a girl in my room, who was not sleeping at nights, but was just living her normal life and was getting in and out constantly. I had a very bad sleep because of this, and even earplugs didn’t help. And anyone walking on their hard floor in hard-soled shoes was also making a loud noise, especially at night. As a result, I felt exhausted during my stay and ended up wasting my days just trying to catch up on sleep.

I had an amazing stay here which I was extending. I couldn't use my first night due delayed flight and closed reception at night, but was contacting them to don't cancel my booking due no show. My luggage didn't came with me, the staff was an amazing help to communicate with the baggage claim in thai and with the driver who delivered it later. They were recommending the weekend market nearby to get some new clothes and I was renting a towel. The bed was comfortable, had curtain, plug and a light, the personal locker was big enough for a 60l backpack and other belongings. Bathrooms were always clean, they did a great job with cleaning. Breakfast is including: eggs, fried egg rice, fresh watermelon, tea, coffee, toast (white and wholemeal) Drinking water always available, no need to buy plastic bottles at 7/11. 15 minutes walk to metro and a bit of driving into the center and to attractions- that might be a minus, but I was feeling safe at night and had quiet nights. Unfortunately not much activities for socialising.
