Siari Riviera Nayarit, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

Siari at The Ritz-Carlton, Nayarit is truly a slice of heaven. The secluded, beautiful jungle grounds set on a private beach made it the perfect getaway. It was so beautiful and peaceful. ||The experience was elevated by delicious food and beverage and exceptional service throughout our stay. ||We were delighted by our meals as we tried each restaurant. Fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared using local ingredients, I loved the fresh salads and seafood.||Mario and Alan at the adults-only pool provided warm, attentive service and knowing we love tequila curated a spur of the moment tequila tasting that felt personal and refined.||Shout out to Santiago at Zula who was incredibly knowledge and personable and Chef for greeting us, cauliflower mole is a MUST try!||We enjoyed a perfect day at the spa, relaxing at the rooftop pool with stunning views and enjoyed the variety of amenities and water features. Ask for Brenda, massage therapist, my signature massage was world class, hostesses and attendants took great care of us in the spa. ||Special thanks as well to our Yacanas team—Ricardo, Alejandro, and William—for their warm welcome and care throughout our stay.||Well appointed, quiet, comfortable rooms that allow for rest and relaxation while taking in nature and the beautiful scenery. I spent my birthday here. I expected a lot from this property and choose it over the St Regis property on Punta Mita. In the back of my head I was worried I made a bad choice. Boy was I wrong. The Ritz Carlton Reserve is hands down the most beautiful property I have yet to experience. In our room I was greeted with a very nice bottle of wine and the best birthday I have ever tasted. The beach has the best sand, it was not rocky like so many other properties in Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta. Another great surprise was the affordable dining options. We had a light lunch and dinner for under 1400 pesos. I will definetly be returning as soon as I can and for a longer stay. I have over 700 nights at Marriott properties and now have a new favorite. Closely followed by The St. Regis San Franciso, The Ritz Carlton in Los Angeles, and the the St. Regis in Punta Mita.

We had my sister’s wedding in Siari, The first wedding ever they had since they opened. An overall exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived at Siari, we were welcomed with genuine warmth, thoughtful touches, and impeccable service. Every aspect of our stay, from accommodations and reservations to transportation, butler service, and the wedding celebration itself, was handled flawlessly. The attention to detail, dedication, and genuine care from the entire team made the experience seamless, memorable, and deeply special. Thoughtful touches, such as beautifully prepared welcoming letters and amenities, immediately made guests feel valued and appreciated. Staff were attentive, present, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and satisfaction. From 24/7 support to expertly managing dietary needs, every request was handled with efficiency and grace. The Food and Beverage team, including chefs and servers, delivered a flawless culinary experience that delighted every guest. The wedding celebration itself was extraordinary—beautifully executed, seamlessly coordinated, and enjoyed by all. Guests could not stop talking about the flawless execution, warm service, and unforgettable moments throughout the event. Finished an excellent stay at Siari - Ritz Carlton Reserve. The place opened in November and we were one of the early guests at this hotel. It took 5 years to build this reserve and it blends perfectly with the nature and greenery. Few observations and tips for future guests: 1) The place is massive and guests in zones 2 and up will need a golf cart ride to shuttle between the rooms and the main area (restaurants, spa, beach etc.). The golf cart service is reasonably quick (4-6 minutes wait max). 2) SERVICE (10/10): Each room is assigned a Yakana (personal butler) that makes sure you are taken care of for anything from getting a ride, making reservations, ordering dining in food etc.. we had pleasure of being supported by Susy (afternoon/evening) and Victor (morning/afternoon). I want to express my sincere thanks to both of them to make sure our trip was perfect and their service was excellent. However, we had to go thru them for everything - this is how the resort is structured. 3) ROOMS (10/10)- we were initially in room 3111. The room had a perfect, had uninterrupted view of the beach with a balcony, and stunning sunsets. We had an unexpected attack of ants in our room and the team promptly changed our room to 3103 (very happy with their customer service). While the new room was good, it didn’t have the perfect view of the beach as we did in 3111. The room has two showers - indoor and outdoor and both were really good. PRO TIP: try to get 3109 to 3114. There are rooms under our floor and you will need to take the stairs down to get to them. These rooms start with 30xx. 31xx series rooms are better as you get a better view and don’t need to take the stairs down. 4) FOOD (8/10)- we are vegetarians so found limited options everyday for lunch and dinner so we had to repeat our meals often. The place advertised 4 restaurants (Mexican (Zula), Asian (Naao), Italian/Pizza (Masa Madre), American (Estero)). However, the Italian restaurant (Masa Madre) was part of the overall menu provided by Estero and the Asian restaurant Naao is not open until 12/26. However, whatever we were able to eat was really good - Italian pastas and pizzas were delicious, Zula which served modern Mexican had good options (we made our own tacos, be sure to get fresh & warm flour tortilla), guacamole was very fresh, and soups served were very refreshing. Mario at Estero was amazing and knew our dietary restrictions and helped us understand menu / offered alternative options where possible. Overall - for the Ritz standard, I would have expected more options to cater to different guests given the access to organic farm fresh vegetables. One issue we faced initially was the time it took to get the food once you ordered - minimum wait was 30 minutes but the service got better towards the end of our stay. On our last day, there was an issue with the gas and they couldn’t get us warm food - shows they still have niggles to work thru given they are relatively new. This is one of our BIG IFs - can they keep up with food service and quality when they get peak guests in the reserve. 5) BEACH and POOLS (10/10) - the beach and pools were relatively very open and we didn’t have to fight for a chair at any time during the day. The pool service was impeccable and someone is always around to make sure you are able to order drinks and food. 6) BAR (7/10): The quality of Tequila options was severely below par and very limited options across the board. The place is only 2 hours drive to city of tequila and given the high standard of Ritz, I expected there would be better options instead of Americanized Casamigos tequila. 7) LOCATION (6/10) - we heard Puerto Vallarta is a great place to visit but the Siari reserve while very good is very isolated and far away from other places to venture outside with a planned 1 hour+ transportation. 8) SPA (10/10) - Really great service and definitely worth 90 minutes Siari massage. Worth a try! Overall, I would rate the stay at Siari to be low 9s/10 and will definitely consider coming back here once things stabilized a bit.

We had a really good experience at Siari! The rooms are spacious! The property is gorgeous and the beach is like no other. The staff is so kind and accommodating. Julio Caesar (pool manager) was so generous and made sure the kitchen took our son’s allergy very serious. Our Yakana Christian was very helpful with reservations and information. The pool is fabulous! We definitely will be back as it’s a very special place in Mexico. Mauricio and Jean Michael were able to set up kid activities from a scavenger hunt to a Piñata class. The sunsets are like no other.

A very well-appointed and exclusive resort. Well laid out and luxurious. Views from restaurants, pools and even rooms was truly unparalleled. Staff were still learning how to truly take ownership and be attentive for a resort of this caliber and cost, but they'll get there with time and training. Food options are very high-end with high-end prices. One host in particular-Alejandro was simply exceptional.

You cannot ask for a more private spot to enjoy than this reserve. The Ritz really put effort in putting the facility in the landscape instead of clear cutting the landscape to plop a hotel on the beach. More than luxury resort, which it more than qualifies, the staff is local with vast knowledge of the history of the area, the people, flora, and fauna.It is new, so they are trying out lots of ideas, which means you have a lot of options right now for whatever you want to make of your stay. We do not have kids, and there is a section that is adults only. I would encourage you to let them know what you want your experience to be at booking so they can accommodate it as best they can. Highly recommend the 2000 block with plunge pools. You are above the tree line looking over the water, so the plunge pool at sunset is magical. Your yakanas, private butlers, will literally make anything happen for you. Alvaro, Gambino, and Pedro coordinated a number of off campus requests for specialty outings and were available 247. Finally, you may have your favorites for food and drink but I would highly encourage you to say what you like and take the staff’s recommended local versions. One more thing….management is present and engaging. They truly want you to be have the best experience while you are here. Two photos, one of the beach to show you have miles with no one around. THE GOOD. The hotel is very beautiful, and the beach is massive (which we loved) and picturesque. The hotel also has 2 pools from what we could tell, one of which was adults only which we appreciated. Besides breakfast and the pool area we only ate at the Asian themed restaurant while there. Some of the dishes at the Asian themed restaurant were very good and other dishes we had to send back. The staff were excellent though! The only issue we had on the breakfast side was that our reservation included breakfast for two but when we went EVERY item on the back side of the menu had ** which we were told is an additional charge. And the front side of the menu also had numerous **. So we were slightly annoyed by that. But again, the staff were excellent! The food at the adult pool was phenomenal! The individuals working at the adult pool were absolutely fabulous as well! They were super nice and always made sure to check to see if anything was needed almost every time they walked past us. And a special shoutout to Alan, absolutely a great guy!!! The Yakanas were great! They assisted us in just about everything we needed. There was a small misunderstanding in what events at the hotel were paid and/or free but they rectified that which we really appreciated. Overall, everyone there was super nice and helpful, and during the stay my wife and I kept saying we’re adding this hotel to our annual Ritz Carlton Reserve trips given how close it is. THE REASON FOR THE RATING. This was a very last-minute trip for my wife and I. We made the reservation on a Monday night and planned to arrive that following Thursday. However, Tuesday afternoon the hotel cancelled the reservation. We had Marriott reach out to the hotel to figure out why and was told it was a mistake (computer error). Also, was told my name was somehow now associated with some other reservation with a person who I didn’t know. The hotel eventually rebooked us. When checking out and paying for the additional charges like room service etc. we noticed there were charges on our bill that were incorrect. After some back and forth they finally agreed to take them off but initially they were reluctant. Lastly, once the room charge posted to our credit card it was $396.34 higher than our original reservation. Of that amount the hotel only agreed to refund $169.59 stating $226.75 was due to the exchange rate for the currency conversion. In the 15+ years my wife and I have traveled internationally we have never experienced a currency exchange rate fluctuate $226.75 in the span of 3 days from booking to being charged. I also looked up the currency exchange rate on multiple sites for the day our reservation was booked and the day our card was charged, and none of them came close to a $226.75 difference. The only conclusion my wife and I can come up with is that hotel chose to handle the conversion themselves rather than charging in the local currency to allow the credit card company to process it. We weren’t asked how we wanted to handle the conversion when we arrived. While the stay at the hotel was nice once we got there, we’re now unsure if we’ll be back. Spending thousands of dollars only to be blindsided at the end and the hotel’s refusal to refund the full difference, doesn’t sit well with us. We’ve been to most of the Ritz Carlton Reserves and they have either automatically processed the charge in the local currency or have asked us which option we want. We’ve never experienced a conversion like this at any Reserve or hotel. Most of which have been booked months if not close to a year in advance. We even went to Nekajui when it first opened up and didn't experience anything like this. So at this time we’ll just continue going to the other Reserves.
