I’ve visited Siddhartha Riverside Resort several times in the past, mostly for EV charging and lunch at the restaurant. This was my first time staying overnight. The Siddhartha brand is well-known across Nepal, and the name itself carries a good reputation with multiple branches nationwide.
However, my stay this time came with a few disappointments. The resort is currently under construction, and the noise during the night disturbed my sleep. In Room 104, where I stayed, the shower head was not functioning properly and needs repair.
The curtains in the room were also not sufficient—during a full moon, the room was brightly lit, and early morning sunlight made it hard to continue sleeping. I strongly suggest the resort install thicker, blackout curtains to improve sleep quality for guests.
Additionally, I was disappointed to find a hair in the butter served at breakfast. Cleanliness in food service is critical, and this definitely needs immediate attention.
That said, the location is nice, and the restaurant usually offers good food. The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. With some improvements in maintenance, cleanliness, and guest comfort, Siddhartha Riverside Resort can live up to its brand name.
