Sidwell Friends Bed and Breakfast

Wow! What a great experience! Larry takes great care of his guests- his home is so inviting and decorated so beautifully. We stayed in the Dunavan room- the bed was so wonderful! The adjoining bathroom had heated tile, a towel warmer and meticulously clean! I would stay again in a heartbeat!

This beautiful home looked like a museum complete with a study, back patio and garden sitting area right in the middle of cute little Mt. Vernon town. The owner, Larry was very helpful and so nice. Rooms are complete with Tv’s, cable, a large dvd selection, snacks, water, robes, extra pillows, very cozy. The surrounding houses are beautiful so if you stay here, be sure to take a walk around the neighborhood. Breakfast was wonderful, two courses complete with yogurt, granola, cereal, an assortment of fruit, coffee, fruit juices, locally made pastries and a berry French toast bake with all the fixings served on fine China. Y’all, I was completely blown away by the service, amenities and beauty of this place and all for the lowest prices! This place is a steal and I highly recommended it to anyone as a destination or even if you’re passing through.

A beautiful home with a wonderful host! We enjoyed our stay very much--a very comfortable bed in a lovely room with a luxurious and spotless bath. Breakfast was delicious and we look forward to finding a reason to going back to Mt. Vernon so we can go back to Sidwell!

A great b and b with a really nice owner! Loved the bedroom; very comfortable sleeping; a spectacular breakfast of fruits, granola, yogurt, egg strada, ham and two kinds of bread--banana or pumpkin. Of course tea, coffee and juices. Oh My! And the house itself is just beautiful and well done. Did I mention the heated tile bathroom floors and the heated towel warmers? And Larry was just so helpful in recommendations and accomodating to our needed breakfast time. Felt like we made a new friend. I will recommend to all and hoping to return for pur next cheer competition!

My husband and I stayed at Mr. Sidwell's lovely Bed and Breakfast after our wedding. We had wonderful time! The house was georgous, so nicely decorated, and very comfortable to be in. The breakfast we had was absolutely fabulous! We agreed it was probably one of the best breakfasts we have had. The best part was the service. Mr. Sidwell was very kind and a pleasure to talk to! We would recommend Sidwell Friends Bed and Breakfast to anyone!

Beautiful place, in a very nice part of town. Very nice room and delicious breakfast. Larry is the greatest host , and did not allow us to want for anything. I would recommend in a heartbeat, and will probably return.

Larry is awesome! Kind, classy, and a fan of Dickens. And he makes a marvelous egg casserole. My whole family loved his place.
