My vintage-loving heart loved staying at Siebkens Resort. Everything was perfectly quaint. I stayed by myself, so I got a room in the older building with smaller rooms. My room was tiny but perfect for me. I could tell that all of the details in the room -- from the armoire to the bathroom tiles -- were well-thought-out and considered. They really put a lot of thought into the furnishings and want their guests to be comfortable.
There are small but nice touches everywhere you look:
In the shower, they have their own shampoo/soap, with a scent that is heavenly. I found out later that the scent was created just for Siebkens!
Breakfast is included with your stay, and includes housemade granola and yogurt, coffee and poppy seed bread. I am not even exaggerating a little bit: the yogurt and granola were some of the best things I ate in Elkhart Lake, and I ate a lot of great things here. I would 100% stay at Siebkens for many reasons, and a big reason is because of the complimentary yogurt and granola!
They give you a complimentary adult beverage upon check-in! Way to win me over!
There is a tavern on-site (open seasonally), with excellent food. There's a little bar inside, and they have their own cocktails and a great wine menu.
The hotel is located in the middle of downtown Elkhart Lake, so it's super walkable to restaurants and activities. There is also a private entrance to the lake, with chairs and a dock reserved just for Siebken guests. One morning, I took my cup of coffee out onto the dock and looked out onto Elkhart Lake, and it was so peaceful.
In my little building, there was a nook with a coffee bar and a place to sit and read.
There's a pool and hot tub, but I didn't use it because it was cold and rainy when I visited!
Siebkens is a vibe, and you have to experience it to understand. This historic hotel is a great place to stay when you're in Elkhart Lake, and I'm glad I was able to be one of its guests!
