Very beautiful airport! Extremely organized and well-run. The staff were all pleasant--even immigration. The only downside is that it's pretty far from the city center. The food court was also pretty limited early in the morning. Bathrooms are spic-and-span and also have lower sinks for little ones. There are several outdoor areas that you can escape to once you get through security--for smokers or anyone that just wants to be outside.

Extremely clean and new. The shiniest floors I have ever seen at an airport. Efficient and well run airport. Staff very friendly. Check in and immigration a breeze. Picture taking and fingerprinting done upon arrival. If you're hungry, there is a food hall with Burger King, Dim Sum and Crushly. There is also The Coffee Club. If you have more time to spare, a lounge is available for $35pp us. Flights can leave earlier. Our flight left 35 mins before scheduled departure time. Getting to the main centre takes about an hour. We arranged an airport transfer through our hotel at a cost of $29us.

A sparkling clean new airport, but not meeting expectations. Nice courtyards, and toilets are everywhere. Lots of signs and flight information boards. Good air conditioning. However, there is drinking water offered at multiple locations but all of them only have warm and hot water. This is unfortunate as I saw multiple people trying to figure out how to get cold water. I ended up having to buy water at Relay, using the plastic bottles I’m trying to avoid. The charging stations could be more efficient by using stools instead of the standard seating bench. There needs to be more food options. They currently have 2 eateries and adding one more. The Angkor Lounge is open, for $35 per person. They’re not currently accepting Priority Pass.

The airport is minimum 1 hour by tuk tuk from Siem Reap - depending how fast they drive. ($20/25). This is a lot further away than the previous and therefore costs more to get to. However the drive is nice and you see some good countryside. Aside from this distance, the airport is brand new and therefore has nice new facilities. The staff were friendly and I didn't have to line up at any point to come through immigration or security. There are MANY seats and it is certainly not crowded. In fact, there were no planes at any gates I could see! Cool moveable chargers you can slide along the wall. There are a number of outdoor courtyards and plenty of toilets. There are a few shops and eating places and you can fill your water bottle... but with warm or hot water... There is even a feedback table if you want to take time to do that. I found it quite warm inside despite the air con being on.

The new airport leaves much to be desired. I miss the “old” one. The new one is literally in the middle of nowhere and takes a good 30-40 minutes to drive too. Even though brand new, the outward appearance of luxury won’t last. The quality is poor as seen in photos from the new lounge… which is indicative of quality everywhere in the airport. It looks big and new but that is it. The Angkor lounge would not be worth paying to enter… not much for drinks or food or seating. Quality of the food only average at best. No flight board in lounge so need to leave to check in flight status. I’m afraid this very lounge monument will not pay off.

Last week, me and my partner traveled to Siem Reap by bus, but when we got back to our home, we used airplanes just because we wanted to visit a new airport in Siem Reap. There are various options for easy and affordable airport transportation. I use Grab Tuk Tuk because I think the price is reasonable. Along the way to the airport, I really enjoyed it because the rice terrace was so green and clammy and the air from nature was so fresh. I arrived at Siem Reap International Airport. The airport is so huge, and the departure hall and arrival hall are on different floors. The first floor is designated for international departures, and the ground floor is for international and domestic arrivals. But for domestic departure also at ground too. There is a well-coordinated and comprehensive information sign for easy passengers in the airport. The domestic departure hall is big, with more than 10 desks for check-in, and a coffee shop is available in the waiting area. The office staff is really kind and accommodating. From the moment I came until I departed Siem Reap, they were really kind. Overall, I would give my weekend trip a 10/10. However, I wish I could use the international departure hall the next time to do more exploration, as it appears that a lot of people are interested. I'm grateful.

Brand new, Chinese build airport (SAI). Arrived with one of the first official flights Oct. 16th. Warm welcome, but interesting visa on arrival procedure. Compared to the old airport (REP) quite a long ride to Siem Reap, depending on traffic, over an hour compared to 10 minutes from the old airport. Most facilities not really working yet including supply of toilet paper. Lounges still under construction. On the first days, roads were blocked by locals marvelling the building in the middle of nowhere.

Very new airport. Spacious. Not crowded. They have a nice golden statue on the middle after passing the immigration checkpoint. There is 1 souvenir shop, no restaurant, just a snack stand, outdoor smoking area, and a charging station. The bathroom is clean. Staff are all friendly and helpful.
