Sierra Negra

Amazing experience to visit this volcano and see inside of it! There's also a 1.8 mile hike to get there, and you will most likely see some cows on the way up.

Good 👍🏼 you can hike to Sierra Volcano 🌋 5-6 hours or you can do it in 2 hours. Our driver brought us to the closest point, and I was happy. But if you like to walk more you should confirm it ahead

Beautiful and exciting experience. We've had an amazing English speaking guide who told us all about the volcano, the processes of lava and magma, and nature. He is very knowledgeable. At the beginning of the hike, we saw a Vermilion Flycather, which is on the brink of extinction, according to our guide. But this is the best area to spot this beautiful little bird. The hike is beautiful with a different landscape every half our. The hike is doable from a moderate physical condition and up. The guides take good care of you and make sure you rest enough. We've booked with the tour operator Rosedelco, which I would recommend to everyone

When we first started, it was foggy, but as we made our way to the top, it cleared up. Once we made it there, it was beautiful. It was worth the hike.

While I didn’t think the crater was all that exciting, the hike to the volcon chico was very scenic

Great morning hike but don’t expect to see anything due to the fog and be prepared for rain and super muddy shoes. So not sure if the $40 volcano tour is really worth it.

I didn’t check any photos of it and didn’t have any expectations before I arrived here. I am totally mind blown. If you are visiting isabela island then this place is one of the places to see. Nice and easy hike to the crater. I would try to go in the morning since clouds might obscure the view in the afternoon. Also bring some water and snacks with you, since there is no place to buy anything. Also wear shoes that you don’t mind getting them dirty:)
