My husband and I stayed in this charming, boutique hotel for 3 nights during our visit to Yosemite. We absolutely loved it! It had a real rustic and authentic feel - pine walls, stone fireplaces, a great room with piano, a library, and a wide veranda perfect for relaxing on in the evenings. Staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. This place blends historic Western charm with modern comfort and natural beauty. It’s a cozy retreat for Yosemite explorers, a family‑friendly hideaway, or a picturesque venue for special gatherings. Would have happily stayed for longer!

We had an amazing experience at Sierra Sky Ranch, and I can’t recommend it enough—whether you’re visiting Yosemite or planning a special event.||From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A special shoutout to Marlo, who was incredibly attentive and made sure both myself and my entire group were well taken care of throughout our stay.||The hotel itself is full of charm. Though it’s an older property, it is immaculately maintained—seriously, not a speck of dust in sight. It’s clear the staff takes pride in every detail. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the overall ambiance of the property was warm and relaxing.||We especially loved the complimentary breakfast and the thoughtful touches like cucumber water and iced tea in the lobby. We even saw wild turkeys and deer on the grounds every day—it felt like a peaceful retreat away from it all.||We also hosted our wedding rehearsal at the hotel, and it was absolutely perfect. The team made the whole process smooth and stress-free, and the setting was just beautiful. If you’re considering a place for a small event or celebration, I highly recommend this venue.||Honestly, the experience was so lovely, it almost made the trip to Yosemite feel like a bonus rather than the main event. Sierra Sky Ranch is truly a hidden gem, and I would absolutely stay here again.

We recently stayed at The Sierra Sky Ranch for our wedding, and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The service was top-notch — every single team member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. The rooms were spotless, perfectly sized, and incredibly comfortable, with stunning views that added to the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Every night there would even be a family of deer that would visit the property! This place is ideal for large family gatherings and events. Our entire wedding party stayed here, and everyone kept saying how friendly and kind the staff were — some even said they’d never met a nicer team at a hotel! A special shoutout to Marlo, who was an absolute saint. She checked in on us regularly, made sure we were always comfortable, and genuinely cared about our experience. She even helped print our wedding vows, which meant so much to us! The staff arranged for all of our rooms to be next to each other, which made things super convenient and added to the fun. We truly felt like they wanted us to enjoy every second of our stay — and we did. This is, without a doubt, the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. We’re already looking forward to coming back. Thank you, Sierra Sky Ranch, for making our special weekend unforgettable!

Staying here with my daughter Maya for a quick adventure was an absolute delight! The atmosphere was warm and friendly. Gwen and Marlo and the rest of the staff treated us with genuine kindness. The room was spacious and well kept. The decor is absolutely charming and the proximity to Yosemite was perfect, just over 10 miles. We really enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back again. I have already recommended Sierra Sky Ranch to my boss and other family members! We will return soon❤️

Google
What a wonderful place to stay before heading into Yosemite's West entrance to go to Mariposa Giant Sequoia's. ! Then from the Sequoia's we headed to Glacier point and Yosemite Valley. The host and staff at Sierra Sky Ranch were wonderful. Our room was super clean, bed comfy. Loved that it used to be a working ranch and then during the war a hospital. Completely updated. Would definitely stay again!

Google
Charming, friendly, and welcoming with a rich history—that’s how I would describe Sierra Sky Ranch. I stayed here and got ready before my wedding and Marlow made it the most memorable and inviting experience I’ve ever had. Gwen at the front desk, the housekeeping staff (thank you Elijah!!), and all others were so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. From corn hole in the grassy meadow-like lawn, to a relaxing lounge in the brightly naturally-lit library, and everything in between—I’ve never been to a more peaceful, mountain oasis. Who wouldn’t want to stay here? This place embodies all that Oakhurst is. It’s a must stay if you’re looking for a more local, restorative visit. Thank you again, Marlow!!

We enjoyed the lodge like feel of the Sky Ranch. Once we were there we wished we had more time there besides just one night. We were passing thru to Yosemite. The room was cute and the bathroom was nice. The breakfast was delicious and helped us start our day of hiking. Would definitely recommend!!

Google
My stay at Sierra Sky Ranch was sublime. I want to praise Marlo, Gwen, Diana, Sarah, and Tu for their warmth, hospitality, friendliness, courtesy, humor, assistance, and care. Finer people are nowhere to be found on the planet. My room was cozy and immaculate. The decor of the entire place was comforting and pleasurable. All the amenities were fine. Everything about this place merits praise. From the moment I made the call to book the reservation, which Diana took, I was guided by the swellest of sweet souls. I look forward to future stays at Sky Sierra Ranch, and I thank all the staff for making my visit as wonderful as it was. Best, Don Berman

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Sierra Sky Ranch in Oakhurst. Diana at the front desk was so kind at checkin & was so attentive to my daughter during our stay. The sitting areas inside were so peaceful & CLEAN! The breakfast was just outstanding. I can't say enough to the attendants aiding all of the guests in stocking, cleaning up & being overall helpful. I can't say enough about the cleanliness of the property also, especially being so busy! Rooms were clean, staff so kind and the lobby, again, so beautiful and charming. We can't wait to visit again!

Yelp
4.5 stars rounded up! The three of us paid $422 through Booking.com for a room with two double beds. Overall, I'm very happy with our choice! Pro: -Lovely staff! Big thanks to TU, MICHAEL, and DIANA for their hospitality! Everyone was so friendly, it made our stay feel like a second home instead of just some random place to crash at at night. TU and MICHAEL were great fun to chat with :) -Awesome lodge decor that's perfect for a winter stay! I love that this place isn't a soulless chain hotel. The main lobby was beautiful and cozy, with a running fireplace, a piano, and perfect amount of table space and comfortable couches. Honestly, the lobby was probably the deciding factor for us picking this place when we compared hotels within the same price range. There's also a second lobby that's bright and airy with board games for kids! -Pretty happy with the food and beverage offers. Breakfast was solid and nicely presented, and there's unlimited tea, coffee, and hot chocolate you can enjoy in the lobby. -the overall space was just really well maintained. We appreciated the patio hangout space, the two lobbies available, and the firepit and fairy lights outside. Everything felt organized, well run, clean, and romantic. Con: fairly minor, mainly has to do with how dated the room was... -the beds and pillows were too soft for me. I felt like I was sleeping on jello :( -the walls were very thin; be prepared to hear conversations outside the room even if the other guests were only speaking at normal volume. -The three breakfasts we had were all the same. They were good, but it would've been nice to have some variety. On the upside, the breakfast room was bright and elegant, so it was a great dining experience. -the room itself (#39) was disappointing. It's pretty small and cramped. There was no desk or seating options, so we had to sit and eat in our beds. The lights were also really dim, the kind of yellowish glow that makes reading anything a huge strain. It made the room feel unpleasant and dingy, like walking into a long-neglected basement with a single lightbulb. -the heater, while functional, was way too loud! Imagine someone showering right next to you, except it's the heater. We were told that the hotel was at less than 50% occupancy during our stay. We walked by at least one double room that was empty, but had much bigger space. Not sure why we didn't get that room; maybe it was reserved for someone who booked direct instead of through third-party like us. Oh well. Overall, we had a great stay and would come back. The history here is fascinating too, as it used to be a TB care center; there's stories of haunting, but we didn't experience anything weird. A quick Google confirms that it's been the set for several movies, including Annabelle: The Creation (2017). Finally, if you're lucky (unlucky?), you can potentially see deer AND BEARS that come looking for scraps! Despite the few minor issues, we were all really happy with our choice of staying here.

Yelp
Cozy & quaint hotel. Friendly staff and a nice breakfast set up in the mornings. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We got the "junior suite" but I loved that this one came with plenty of additional space and a couch. I read posts online that it is haunted with 4 spirits! The staff told us this used to be a TB hospital in the early 1900s. They offer Free continental breakfast. A friendly staff member asked if we wanted a hot sausage & egg croissant. They also have round the clock coffee, teas, and flavored waters

Yelp
Super friendly and accommodating place to be. Definitely go here if you're in the area and stay away from the big corporate hotels that are destroying the market and trying to overcharge you for resort fees and stupid Taxes. Cookies, tea and coffee are amazing and the morning breakfast has potential to be something amazing. The food was warm and the ambience is amazingly perfect and makes you want to live here. Definitely coming here every year if possible. The rooms are very cozy and super comfortable and accommodating. Very close access to SouthGate Yosemite national Park.

Yelp
The walls were incredibly thin, you could hear every single conversation from the neighboring room. Strange noises at odd hours made it impossible to sleep. I spent the entire night wide awake, hearing what sounded like someone scratching their nails outside. The location is infamous for spooky stories, with several films shot there and tales of numerous deaths in its history. Whatever was going on, it didn't let me sleep. The room was old, the bathroom wasn't clean (I noticed a blood stain on the toilet, thankfully not on the seat), and the floor was filthy. There was also a strange smell throughout the room. We arrived late at night, so I didn't pay much attention to the surroundings until morning. Curious about all the noise next door, I was shocked to discover there wasn't even a room there! Although there was a strict no-smoking policy, I distinctly smelled heavy smoke outside at midnight. I had no idea about the spooky history when I booked the hotel. I was simply looking for a ranch-style experience with farm tables and horses, but this was far from it. There were no fresh farm offerings, and the so-called continental breakfast was just your typical inn-style meal. After experiencing the odd vibes and noises, I read about the location's eerie backstory, which explained a lot. The stay was overpriced and didn't provide the ranch experience we were hoping for. That said, if you're looking for a spooky experience, this place is perfect during Halloween, it's guaranteed to give you all the haunted vibes.

Yelp
My family and I absolutely loved this hotel. It was quaint, cozy, clean and the grounds were so beautiful, but what topped it all off was the hotel staff and their amazing hospitality. Everyone from the front desk staff to the housekeeping to the server at breakfast were so incredibly kind and helpful. We enjoyed the fire pit area in the evenings and sitting in the old library taking in the great views in the mornings. It was our first time visiting Yosemite and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I was I could give this more stars! We travel often and found this place on a whim late at night. We stayed because they were open and I'm so happy we did! Clean rooms, and a very personable experience! The front desk took the time to explain the park and where to go which was appreciated! She explained the history of the building, breakfast was great and the atmosphere was very positive! The outside is great for families and very inviting! We will be bringing our family back and recommending to everyone we know! Thank you to the staff for making our stay very special!

Yelp
4.5 stars rounded up. So I had to stay in Oakhurst for work and found this spot! Located about an hour from Yosemite Village in Oakhurst, Sierra Sky Ranch is a historic hotel a few minutes drive from the main area of town. I stayed in the main building in Room 33, highly recommend this room! It came with an artificial fireplace that gave off heat and although this room did not come with a patio, since I was staying here in December, I did not want to go out in the cold anyway. There is a common area that has couches and plenty of board games, it is right around the corner from Room 33, so it's a convenient spot to have a bite to eat or sit and write Yelp reviews ha ha. The lobby area has a microwave, tea/coffee and hot water. There wasn't a fridge or coffee maker in the room however. Loved the breakfast! It was served in the adjoining restaurant and was a buffet style with scrambled eggs, potatoes, fruit. The breakfast varied from day to day, one morning we had housemade granola with Greek yogurt, another day was a vegetable scramble with a housemade salsa. There is a pool that is open during the warmer months and apparently the hotel is haunted, although I didn't encounter anything odd during my three-night stay. Would highly recommend this place!

S C.

Yelp
For the price, I'd expect it to be cleaner, nicer, and have better hospitality. No one was particularly friendly. The room wasn't quite clean enough. There was a brown stain on the sheets, and we only noticed it once we were tucking into bed, too late to ask for a change of sheets. The shower had some pink slime growth in the grout and on the tiles. The walls were so thin, I was awoken early by someone in the room next door coughing, hacking, gagging in their bathroom. Yuck. The grounds were very cute but there was not much appeal elsewhere and I wouldn't return.

Yelp
Food was delicious, staff was so friendly! Love the ambiance, very warm and rustic Will definitely be back!

Yelp
This place is incredible! Loved everything about it, the location, friendly staff, the building and history, cleanliness, everything! Will definitely come back.

Yelp
Not a good place to stay. The walls are super thin and floors creaky. Any level of conversation, walking to bathroom, pillow talk or just breathing apparently affects those around you. I have never been so uncomfortable at a hotel the way I felt here. Another guest was constantly hitting the wall starting from 10pm after my family and I got back from an event and we were getting ready for bed. To make matters worse the front desk person came to my room at 2 am claiming i was making noise - even though we were all asleep at the time and I only woke up to take my kid to the bathroom. I reported these issues to front desk but no follow through - instead the front desk attendant gave the other guests 10% off and I walked away with an unpleasant night and lack of sleep for a room I paid for. They need to fix their creaky floors!

Yelp
Such a hidden gem and unique experience. I love the history of this place paired with a home away from home feel. The decor has its own story to tell, the staff is friendly, and the homemade continental is a great touch. I loved how there was an open porch with a view where we could enjoy breakfast and a good book while reconnecting back with Nature. It was absolutely the getaway I needed to disconnect and relax. Their restaurant is currently closed until Spring 2022 but there is always coffee, tea, hot chocolate, healthy snacks and baked goods available in the lobby, which I love! I look forward to coming back as they reopen the restaurant.

Yelp
This is a lovely place to stay in the cute town of Oakhurst, about 20 minutes from the entrance to Yosemite. I stopped in on my way to the park but it was too early to check in, so I used the very clean restroom by the pool and continued my journey. After a long day at the park, I was hoping to grab some dinner in Oakhurst but the restaurants had all closed by the time I made it back, so I checked into the hotel with a rumbling stomach. The nice woman at the front desk offered me some granola bars, but they weren't vegan so I left them behind. The ranch is rustic and cozy with a big wooden door leading to the reception area. All the staff were very pleasant. There are several communal lounge areas, including the Great Room, a library room, and a breakfast room. The restaurant was not operating due to COVID. At this point, I was so exhausted and broken from my long drive and full day at the park that I felt like sobbing. Actually, I think I did sob. I mustered up some energy to take a hot shower in the spotless bathroom with lovely smelling soap and felt a little more alive afterward. The room was small but clean and very nice with a king bed, soft white linens, a desk, and French doors that opened to a long veranda that ran along the length of the building. When I finally climbed into that bed, it felt like I was floating on a cloud. Heavenly! It was the perfect tonic for my weary bones. I slept for 9 hours straight and even the sound of creaking floors above did not bother me. The grounds and surrounding views are very pretty. I wish I would have had some time to sit on the veranda and enjoy the beautiful morning. I skipped the free continental breakfast and headed out around 11 a.m. refreshed and ready to tackle another day at Yosemite.

T T.

Yelp
Hidden treasure right outside the south entrance to Yosemite. There is no restaurant or bar any longer, but I didn't miss it. They offer a reasonable no cost continental breakfast. There are plenty of choices nearby in Oakhurst for dining The rooms are rustic but updated and spotless. Nice porches and a firepit in season. The staff, in particular Diane are friendly and accommodating. Don't tell anyone, but this place is haunted. If you are lucky, you might get a behind the ropes tour and learn the rich history associated with this cool place and get spooked ! We spent two nights in front of the lobby fire playing games and just digging the vibe of the fellow travelers new and old. Bring your own adult beverages and maybe Diane will make you some cookies if you are worthy. We will be back.

Yelp
Nice service. Friendly people. Location is great. Breakfast is spare, although understandable, given the times. website is not up-to-date with fact that there is no buffet

Yelp
3.5 rounded to 4 for friendly service and free breakfast! Very nice place to stay outside of Yosemite Park. Something to note though is that it is about a 1.5hr drive from the park itself. There aren't that many rooms here, which gives it a nice intimate feel. Check-in was quick and easy, and the room is a cozy size. I like how there's a porch that can be accessed from the room. The bed was comfortable and very soft! Some other things I liked about this place were the availability of filtered water in the hallway, a fireplace in the lobby, and a nice spread at the breakfast area in the morning. They had muffins, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, tea, and juice. Plus, they have a toaster! If you are a light sleeper like I am, the walls are paper thin. I could hear the people next door snoring throughout the night, and eavesdropping was super easy. Also, at least in our room, there was a vent right above the bed that kept blowing warm air in my face all night. If you have that, I suggest either closing the vent or angling it so that it is not right in your face the whole night. One of the great things about this place is that it is a quick 10min drive to Bass Lake, which is a great place to look at the stars without a lot of light pollution and get some good astro shots! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sierra-sky-ranch-an-ascend-hotel-collection-member-oakhurst?select=e6dstDEeCwA0wcOoY7itiA&userid=97Dj5h5CQUsWZrEWj3wWOg

Yelp
This Inn is a great place to stay if you like quiet & great hospitality. When was the last time you were shown where you room is located and given a quick tour of the property without asking? Probably never. Yes the rooms a small but it is an historic inn with an interesting back story. Staff is outstanding from the General Manager Karen to front desk staff Dianna. Dianna was great by making recommendations for hiking & dining. The entire staff was friendly and available. The grounds are beautiful and great for lounging or reading your favorite book. The outdoor pool was open and although we didn't use it was available. Breakfast is simple with various packaged cakes, fresh fruit, instant oatmeal, coffee and tea. Cold Bottled water is provided each morning which was great for those going to Yosemite or local hiking. If you wished a hot breakfast the adjacent restaurant is available. My wife and I stayed from a Sunday night to Friday morning & room was cleaned everyday & restocked of bathroom items. One night a deer walked right behind our room. It's just off Route 41 and about 15 from the south entry of Yosemite Park. Attached but not part of the hotel was the Branding Iron Restaurant open for breakfast & dinner which is awesome. See my review on this new establishment.

Yelp
The location is great is you want to stay outside the Yosemite Valley. Honestly, it's worth a day or three on it's own as there's some beautiful scenery nearby for a walk or hike. We were visiting just before Thanksgiving (I know...delayed review), and it turned out to be the perfect time to visit. A little less crowded in the park, and just enough snow here n there to make it beautiful and not freezing :) The Sierra Sky Ranch was phenomenal, one of the best overnight stays I've had in a while. If you like a cozy, quiet, comfortable cabin vibe then this is the stop for you! The staff was amazing, including (but not limited to): the front desk (Dianna offered us some tasty warm tea at check-in, along with some trail recommendations and other useful pamphlets), the bartender (Amanda, who was very friendly and made us some delicious, well-crafted cocktails), the restaurant staff (both morning and night), and a manager & event manager/coordinator we met at the restaurant (Sean & Kristin - had a great time chatting with them, learning about this location along with their other property up the mountain -- definitely check that out if you're looking for a beautiful venue for your wedding). Oh, the room was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Our only regret is we didn't stay here longer!

Yelp
We stayed here while we visited Yosemite for the weekend (which is only like 28 min from the entrance) we checked in around 9pm and the front desk lady was so sweet and helpful! It was my husband and I's 2nd anniversary and so they upgraded us to the honeymoon suite (no extra charge) and decorated our bed for us which was the sweetest thing :) it was very clean and we found nothing wrong with our room. We very much enjoyed our stay and will be coming back when we come visit Yosemite again!

Yelp
Staying here was the best decision my family and I could have made while visiting Yosemite. It has so much history being a Cattle Ranch, a Hospital for children with tuberculosis, then a Hospital for soldiers with ptsd after WW2, then back to a Ranch and now a beautiful place to stay when in Yosemite. It felt as cozy as being home! Diane at the front desk is amazing and makes you feel so welcomed! The rooms were spotless and the updated bathroom was a nice touch for such a historic place.

Yelp
Just came back from three days/two nights in Oakhurst. Our room had a King size bed, it reminded me of a college dorm. Very little space around the bed. The room only had one night stand. We were lucky and had a closet to store our luggage and hang up clothes, some rooms didn't have a closets. Nice pool area and landscaping.

Yelp
This hotel is very cute, much more comfortable feeling than a regular hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast is okay. If you're staying in the area for nature, this is the place to stay, as opposed to a regular hotel in town. With all of that said, I'm not sure the price is worth it, as the walls are insanely thin, all of the porches for each room are connected (aka anyone can walk past the windowed doors at any time. No privacy), and the restaurant and pool are not open. Reading all the reviews it looks like the restaurant was open once and never again? It's very cute though and closer to the forest (Nelder Sequoia Grove+ south Yosemite) than town.

Yelp
Yelp 2018 - 3 of 325 reviews We booked this room after our Hampton Inn experience in Merced was terrible. Hotwire had this room for $81.00 and 95% of the visitors stated they would come back. Sometimes, when you are really lucky, you can have a Hotwire hint. This one said "last room booked was at Sierra Sky Ranch." So I found Yelp's reviews and booked. We were so happy we did. A few hints I learned on my first trip to Yosemite. While you are driving to Oakhurst (where the hotel is), you may think to yourself, oh my, there's nothing up here. I should have brought x, y & z. But, once you get to Oakhurst you realize they have everything you need. Restaurants, grocery stores, gas etc. To find Sierra Sky, you need to continue through the town and you will see a large, brown sign and you have to turn there. The "hotel" looks like a large, one level home. The registration is the door farthest from the parking lot. I didn't see a luggage cart and there was a handicap parking and entrance around back. We lugged our stuff up the steps and toward the entrance. The handicap ramp in front has a good 7% incline so get ready to pull. Once inside, Jamie, the receptionist was there to greet us. Pros - The bed. OMG so plush and comfy. A great shower (no tub). Wooden floors. Your own heater/air. A ceiling fan. Lots of areas to chill. A fireplace, board games, sofas, a beverage area and patio space. Free breakfast in the morning (see Linda's review). Cons - The restaurant was closed for the winter. So you have to venture out to eat. The beverage area does have a microwave. The walls were pretty thin, so if you are a light sleeper that could be a problem. No coffee pot or fridge in the room.

Yelp
This place was absolutely beautiful! The hospitality was unmatched, from the time we got there to the time we checked out, the staff were amazing. There were games for us to play in one of the gorgeous lobbies, a delicious breakfast in the morning. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone, and certainly look forward to going back.

Shaida S.

Yelp
Very small room with paper thin walls. We had a beautiful view, but we couldn't open the curtains since the balcony was common, people who walked by could see inside our room. We were hoping to wake up to the view of snow covered trees and grounds, but had to keep the curtains closed. Price included "hot" breakfast, but the scrambled eggs were cold, potatoes were even colder and I didn't try the sausage. No bread and butter, but they had muffins. Didn't try the muffins either because my husband said it was icy cold! In the evening, they had brownies out that was yummy

Yelp
Our stay at the historic SSR Christmas week was thoroughly enjoyable. We had a long day of driving and traveling through the windy paths up the mountain and through Yosemite, so when we arrived at our destination it was a relief to be welcomed warmly by the front desk lady Jenna. She even gave the kiddos some crafts to do in the lobby and was so accommodating to our large family group. Because the weather was cold and rainy, we spent most of our time in the beautiful Christmas decorated lobby warming our toes by the fire, sipping tea and playing board games. The beds and rooms were so cozy and very clean, when we had an accident with hot cocoa (complimentary in the lobby) on a bed spread, the staff and housekeeping were so gracious and quick to change all of the bed linens for us. A delicious hot breakfast was served by Chef Chance each morning; eggs, potatoes and sausage and even homemade cinnamon rolls. It was so pleasant to just wake up and walk down to the rustic dining room to sip hot coffee, listen to the rain and Chance share interesting facts about the area. Our family is so grateful to the SSR hotel and staff for going above and beyond in every way and making our stay special, we will definitely be back!

Yelp
I called from out of town trying to find a room for Oak Fire evacuees. This was literally one of the last rooms in town. Diana helped me book the room and was so kind and helpful even though it was a very stressful situation. They also took in pets as an exception. Breakfast was included and the guests enjoyed themselves.

Yelp
This is probably the best hotel we've stayed in Yosemite. Our room was cozy and very comfortable. It was renovated and the price was fair. I loved everything about the bathroom/shower. Staff were very nice, especially, Scott. I enjoyed talking to him. He got some really cool stories :). He made us feel welcomed not only to this hotel but to Yosemite in general. We loved it so much that we decided to stay one more night. Oh yeah, they have continental breakfast 6am-10am...and oh my~ we loved it! We were expecting stale pastries with coffee but so many things to choose from!!! Kid friendly too. Our behind story of coming to this hotel is that we originally came to Yosemite to camp for 3N/4D. On our first night, our toddler decided that this isn't for him (yet) and threw a fit during his night time routine and again in the middle of the night. My husband and I quickly grabbed what we could and drove back down to find a hotel/motel. Some were too expensive and some were closed at 1am. We were very fortunate to find this place and the staff was very helpful over the phone and patient (we were exhausted, frustrated and out of it.)

Yelp
The rooms are so tiny with super squeaky floors. You can hear the next door neighbor breathing. One of your walls in your room is completely covered glass windows with really old locks. We checked in for 2 hours and had to leave due to family emergency- didn't even touch the bed. The front desk lady said she would be able to refund the room for us, just call back tomorrow due to her computer not working at the time we checked up- the next day we called, "sorry no refund". If no refund, why offer? I would NOT recommend this hotel. Furthermore, have you read about how it's haunted? Easily Google this hotel's name- multiple searches/reports will show up- even videos. Both the pool and the restaurant were closed..

Yelp
Came here for a weekend trip to Sequoia and it did not disappoint! The little ranch is so quaint, quiet and the perfect distance from the national park. It's located in 3 rivers, and has great places to explore! Not only is it within a 10 minute drive to the entrance to the park, but there's this awesome sweet shop along the road that has amazing candy..... need I say more? The Ranch has rooms that come with a little kitchen and make it feel like a home away from home. There's also breakfast with a nice selection of oatmeal, bagels, pastries and fruit. It's on the carb heavy side, but if you're hiking for the day, do you really want to have something like a fruit salad?!?!?! Really great service, comfortable beds, and awesome location. Did I mention there are animals that roam nearby? We saw turkeys! TURKEYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
Hotel is amazing you feel like you are going home it's small that's why I love it . The receptionist was very nice and welcoming 20 mins drive to the gate to Yosemite

Yelp
What a comfortable, CLEAN, and super-serene property. :-) Off and away from the main road(s) to Yosemite, this hotel is tucked among oak and pine trees and grassy fields, allowing you to actually hear the birds sing (as presented by another poster here). Seriously, we heard an owl hooting in the middle of the night (windows open). It's THAT quiet. The standard room we had was clean, comfortable, well-appointed and with a bathroom/shower that is decidedly a huge step above what you'd find at a local motel. Choose a motel... or stay here and really relax. Your choice. I know what mine is. ;-)

Yelp
We had an amazing stay! Check in was super easy, and the women who checked us in was very nice and knowledgeable about the history of thr hotel, which we loved!! The room was cozy, bed was comfy and we loved the wrap around porch just outside our room! Breakfast left a little to the imagination, or lack there of, but... well....covid. We would love to return and stay again!

Yelp
One of the best stays I've had in awhile. My husband and I stayed for one night and will now be our go-to stay when we visit Yosemite. The overall experience was an A++. The service was kind, warm and inviting and the ranch was so beautiful, peaceful, and has so much history and character. The rooms were spotless and the beds are super comfy! There is a cute balcony overlooking the beautiful landscape with deer and other animals. The town nearby is super cute as well! Overall, super happy with our experience! A must-stay for a more personal, "feels like home" experience!

Yelp
PROS: Comfy bed. Friendly yet somewhat ineffective person behind the desk. Free wifi. CONS: Non-working wifi. General filth level is off the hook. Stained showers with nasty mats. Not one hook in the the room to hang a towel on Free breakfast was nasty. Powdered eggs, cigarette-like sausages, sponge potatoes. Pool was full of leaves and ringed with scum. Our room had a non-working fridge with a working fridge stacked on top of it. Inside that fridge was some rotting food that instantly stunk up the room with the smell of death. Since there was no Lysol to be found we were put in a damp basement room with the most disgusting shower ever. Also happened to be crawling with daddy long legs. Nothing ranch like about this place. Tacky fountains. Dilapidated gazebos. Bit of a struggle to get ice.

Yelp
I had a great experience at the Sierra Sky Ranch and would definitely stay there again. Tammy at the front desk was very accommodating. We called around 8:30am explaining that we would be driving in and arriving at 10am, asking what time our room would be available. She was able to have a room available for us at 10am when we got there! The property was really pretty and we even saw three deer roaming around the front lawn. The room was small but it was very clean and comfortable.

Yelp
A very beautiful ranch. It has a georgous view of the mountains and I loved hearing the birds chirping every morning. Our room had an outside patio which was a nice touch. The rooms and bathrooms have been nicely renovated. The bed was super comfortable. The walls are thin and you could hear the neighbors snore . But I'm a deep sleeper and it didn't bother me. The wood floors can be a little creeky but not a deal breaker. I enjoyed the Continental breakfast that is included every morning. The restaurant and bar were closed for the season which was disappointing but hopefully they will find a chef/bartender soon. Supposedly this place is haunted by friendly spirits, but I slept great and had no incidents. It's a great country retreat and close to Yosemite valley (about an hour and a half due to the mountain curves). At night I heard coyotes outside , there's wildlife in the area..

Yelp
This place is a pretty nice looking establishment with a nice set of staff! The room is pretty cozy as long as you don't mind the AC blasting in your face at night, and has an amazing view of nature! Restaurant not open. Not sure if it ever will be. Pool was not available for use.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed on Christmas night here on the Ranch. We read all the other reviews and even though everyone can have there own opinion I believe that. Many were wrong. The Ranch is old, 1875 to be exact. It does need a little work and it is currently being done, but it is a beautiful rustic experience. It is priced well in the off season. It is a Historic place filled with stories; whether true or legend are always fun to hear and possibly "experience". This is not the Hilton, and shouldn't be compared to such hotels. It is Roughing it in a warm, clean and comfortable room where you can still enjoy the forest. Once the restaurant reopens then it will be a complete property, however, there are restaurants 3 mins from the Ranch. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Yelp
We are IN LOVE with this place !! It's an old ranch home turned into a hotel/ B&B type of place. The decor as soon as you walk in is SO adorable! Rustic/ country/mountainy , I wanted to move in!! Everything is SO clean and updated, you don't feel like it's old or run down at all! Our king bed was to die for and our room opened up to the front patio overlooking the ranch. We loved going to the restaurant for some wine and dessert ( didn't eat there but it all smelt amazing). The staff was so friendly and they had coffee and muffins every morning for us ! We are so in love with this place, we want to come back each spring and stay here! We will only stay here when going to Yosemite from now on! Absolute 5 star!

Yelp
A quiet out of the way lodge with very friendly staff, fair pricing and very comfy rooms done neatly & tastefully. No real "views" but hey, you're by Bass Lake surrounded by mountains & Pine trees. The lake is but a few miles away...

Yelp
We had a beautiful spacious room with 2 doubles for us and 2 kids. The place is very clean, from the front lawn to reception, the hallways, pool and of course to the rooms. I usually have high standards for cleanliness, esp bathrooms, and everything was quite immaculate. I liked how they provided 2 luggage racks (this is rare). We had relaxing views of rustic barns and green trees, and a back door to the large open balcony running down all the rooms. Decor is nice modern farmhouse, very serene.

Yelp
We stayed 2 nights here for a little babymoon and had a great time. From previous reviews and photos, this place has been transformed from its previous era. The new rooms are clean and have a nice cabin feel. They seem to be having one foot in a small mountain motel, and another in upscale resort. The staff is very small but very helpful; Summer checked us in and went above and beyond to help us with anything. Location is great for Yosemite Valley trips. The negatives are that the pool isn't opened yet. This was part of the reason we came, and so were disappointed. The walls are thin, you can hear everything at night. Breakfast was fine, it would be nice to have access to the ice machine (staff must retrieve). Overall, a very pleasant stay, just not quite 5 stars!

Yelp
This place was awesome! They serve muffins and fruit until 10 and they have updated the place drastically. I was very nervous staying here based off some of the photos but it is very different so don't hesitate to book your stay. The only thing I would change is to make sure the carpets are clean. I looked under the bed to make sure I didn't leave anything behind and there was trash and dirt under there. But other than that everyone was friendly and the place is in prime location with clean and updated appliances.

Yelp
I wish I can give this hotel more stars!! Such an amazing stay! We were hiking in Yosemite for most of the day. Once we arrived to this hotel, we were shocked at how small this location looked from the outside and thought it might have been a bed and breakfast. We were greeted by a sweet girl at the front desk, who checked us in promptly. There was a back building that had more rooms. We were on the bottom floor. Very easy to get around Like I said before, we arrived late to our hotel, and we were very hungry, so we decided to check out the onsite restaurant. The waitress was absolutely wonderful, I wish I would have gotten her name!!! Dinner came out quick and delicious, and although we came in very close to closing time we did not feel rushed or felt pity for the lovely workers waiting on us. Our room was beautiful and we had our own balcony with such an incredible view of the trees. We were not bothered by any noise (I mean we did come at a really late time) I will definitely be returning if I happen to be in Yosemite again!

Yelp
Incredible! ... We came in for dinner and were blown away by the service, food and experience. We started out with Carpaccio, which was the best I have ever had! All the steaks and seafood were perfectly prepared with fabulous flavor! Also ..... Great wine list and a must have is the Pecan Creme Brulee! It was a great evening in Bass Lake!
