We loved our stay at the Siesta Motel! The staff was incredibly accommodating — we asked last-minute if we could add an extra night, and they made it happen with no hassle at all. Our room had a sofa bed and queen-sized bunk beds, which was such a fun and unique touch that made the space feel cozy and comfortable.
The kitchenette was really convenient, and we especially appreciated the well-stocked “guest closet.” It included thoughtful extras like cream, half and half, whipped cream, ice, filtered water, spare toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste, towels, even makeup towels), spa slippers, cutlery, and even board games like giant Boggle. Outside, there was a charming gazebo area with a cornhole setup that made the property feel even more inviting.
The only small things we noticed were that there was no salt or lids for the to-go cups (which were also only in the guest closet), but when we mentioned the salt, they immediately brought us a brand-new set of salt and pepper shakers. We didn’t mention the lids until we were leaving, but it was such a minor detail compared to how great everything else was.
Our family had a couple of small suggestions that would have taken the stay from great to absolutely perfect: slightly larger trash cans would be helpful since we were six people staying in a room, and a standard coffee maker would have been a nice touch since the one-cup pour-over option made brewing coffee for everyone a bit slow.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience with thoughtful amenities, super helpful staff, and lots of little extras that made the stay feel special. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Durango!
