Siesta is an excellent combination of Hotel and Hostel, with shared kitchen/lounge; and Male and Female bathrooms/toilets) on each floor. Washing machine, dryer and iron are aslo available. Close to Darling Harbour, Barrangaroo and Wynyard Transport hub, Siesta offers affordable, clean and comfortable accommodation in central Sydney. The staff were friendly, polite and efficient.

Basic very clean and roomy accommodation. |Kitchen and bathroom are kept exceptionally clean.|The staff are amazing and couldn’t do enough for 25 older bushwalkers.|The location is very central, and there are plenty of eating places and supermarkets nearby.|Will be back.|Thank you Alexandria and Vanessa

We booked this hotel two weeks in advance and had a late check-in. Upon arrival, we were shocked to find the room in a very poor state—bed unmade, dirty towels in the corner, rubbish scattered, and bins not emptied. We called the number provided for late check-in issues, and thankfully, someone responded quickly and moved us to a cleaner room. While we appreciated being given a different room, it’s clear that cleanliness is not a priority at this hotel. Disappointing first impression

Overall, our stay had its ups and downs. The after-hours check-in was incredibly easy, and the reception staff truly shone – they were very helpful with tips on what to do in Sydney and readily offered assistance. We had no complaints at all about our room, the bed linen, or the bath towels provided, which were all clean and comfortable. However, the shared facilities were a bit hit or miss. While usable, the refrigerator, toilets, and kitchen utensils weren't as clean as we'd hoped, being only passable. It would greatly improve the experience if there was at least an electric kettle in each room, allowing guests to make coffee and settle in without cleanliness concerns about shared items. A significant issue for us was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. Unfortunately, we had neighbors who were quite loud late into the night, which disrupted our sleep.

For goodness sake don’t look under the beds, they have not vacuumed under there since the last several guests!!! There was what appeared to be food there!! Beds are on wheels, so how hard would it be to clean properly?

Great location and service. The rooms are basic, but the location is great and staff members were lovely. Special thanks to Vanessa and Alejandra!

We stayed in siesta 2 nights as it was our first location not too expensive and in the city center. The room was clean. The building is very old fashioned and very simple but at least we had our own room and our privacy. Very well secured and safe and extremely well located 3 min walk to the harbour. The hotel is also surrounded by really good restaurants. Comfortable place we recommend.
