Overall, our stay had its ups and downs. The after-hours check-in was incredibly easy, and the reception staff truly shone – they were very helpful with tips on what to do in Sydney and readily offered assistance. We had no complaints at all about our room, the bed linen, or the bath towels provided, which were all clean and comfortable.
However, the shared facilities were a bit hit or miss. While usable, the refrigerator, toilets, and kitchen utensils weren't as clean as we'd hoped, being only passable. It would greatly improve the experience if there was at least an electric kettle in each room, allowing guests to make coffee and settle in without cleanliness concerns about shared items.
A significant issue for us was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. Unfortunately, we had neighbors who were quite loud late into the night, which disrupted our sleep.
