Siga La Vaca is hands down the most authentically Argentinean restaurant in Estonia. Tucked away around a corner, the entrance gives off a quiet, almost unnoticed impression—but don’t let that fool you. Open the door just a crack, and you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into another world—something straight out of a Star Wars cantina scene, but with tango instead of aliens. It’s vibrant, packed, loud, colourful, and full of life—just like Argentina itself.
From the moment you step in, you’re embraced by a warm, Latin American atmosphere that feels more like visiting old friends than going out to eat. After a while, you begin to notice that almost everyone entering or leaving knows the owners, greeting them with hugs, handshakes, and joyful chatter—a level of openness and warmth that’s rare in Estonia.
The service is casual, relaxed, and completely unpretentious, yet somehow still efficient and smooth, even when the place is full. You never feel neglected.
And then, the food. As you might expect, it’s all about the meat—and it’s excellent. We had a selection of different cuts, and it quickly became clear why this place is so beloved. The quality was top-notch, but what truly set it apart was the open-fire grilling (parrilla), done by an Argentinean chef who clearly knows his craft.
We also ordered the potato porridge, admittedly with some hesitation. I mean, who goes out to a restaurant and orders potato porridge? But on the recommendation of the owner, Reigo, we gave it a shot—and I’m so glad we did. It was delicious, comforting, and full of flavour.
The wine selection is decent—nothing extraordinary, but it does the job. And honestly, with that kind of vibe, energy, and soul in the room, it’s easy to overlook the wine list and just enjoy the moment.
