So much fun! The bus ride from Denarau took about an hour/30. But worth it. The river safari was exhilarating and visiting the village was a fun experience. The locals are so so lovely. The boat: Fast and fun. Take a change of clothes as you will get pretty wet lol. Bring your phone for pics. The village: small walk to the village. And there are different villages each visit. And wear comfy clothes, shoulders covered for woman (they don’t say anything but just out of respect). Gifts: Bring welcome appreciation gifts - school books, clothes, cash, sweets anything you thinks the village may need.

A most exhilarating ride up the river followed by a very special visit to a village for a Kava ceremony and lunch. I like the way the villages are used in rotation, the one we visited hadn’t been used by the company for 8 months so our welcome felt very real. A great flavour for the “real Fiji” You do need to be able to climb over the boat seats - just be aware. Thanks to Captain Jack for looking after us and all the villagers for making us so welcome.

Absolute banger experience from start to finish! The villagers and guides were very welcoming and the lunch that the ladies prepared for us was so lovely. Cruise was also amazing - Captain Hot Leps did some hot laps around Sigatoka River. Our driver Zac was also an absolute sweetheart - very friendly and helped us take some great photos! Overall 10/10 experience, would definitely do it all over again. ✨

Experience of a lifetime! Kava has been an important part of my life for almost a decade so to go to a Fijan village and partake in a kava ceremony with the village, sing and dance and eat their beautiful food. It felt so special to be allowed to witness their culture from the inside. Not to mention the super fun boat ride waving to the locals, it's a time and place that will stay with me forever and the smiles of the beautiful Fijan people from Tuvu! ♥️
