"Located right on the harbor with a waterside hot tub, walking into the moss-colored Sigló Hotel feels like entering the home of your most country-chic friend. The rooms all have a daydreamy feel, but it could just be the moody filter that veils the entire town. Most have window benches, offering views of the marina or neighboring mountains. The area has deep ties to herring fishing, which you can (and should!) learn all about at the Herring Era Museum across the street from the hotel. Sunna Restaurant is the hotel’s only dining spot, and the view over the marina and landing pier makes for a wonderfully unconventional appetizer. For the main course, go for the baked cod with a side of seafood soup. For most, Siglufjördur is a stop on a larger road trip, where it’s easy to relax and lose yourself in the misty harbor and its surrounding hiking trails."

Stunning Hotel in an equally stunning location. We immediately felt welcomed and at-home on arrival. The service was impeccable from start to finish and all the staff were well-presented and attentive. Our room was beautiful and felt luxurious. The tranquil view from the window of the harbour further helped to set the scene for our night's stay. All the hotel's amenities, from the bar to the restaurant to the hot tub and sauna were all top class and easily accessible. The lounge area in the lobby was also inviting and felt very cosy with the fireplace centrepiece. A hugely enjoyable stay that was hard to leave behind after only one night.

Beautiful hotel surpassed only the the beauty of the setting. Nestled in the harbor and surrounded by mountains. Hotel is first class and charming. Staff greeted us with warmth and friendly smiles. Rooms feel very luxurious but this is not reflected in the price. Great room amenities, comfortable furnishings and a window seat I just had to curl up in to read my book. |Great location and a very walkable town with lots to see. Make sure you venture out.|Did not use the hot tub but it was popular and everyone seemed happy. |We also did not dine at the restaurant for dinner; beyond our budget and we are not foodies. Unfortunately in October only 2 other choices and they opened later than we preferred as it was very cold and the sun was fading. My lovely window seat was calling so we ate a very questionable burger at the local gas station. Not our best choice, yet we were not alone. They actually we quite busy LOL. |Breakfast at the hotel was wonderful and included in the room rate. |Must mention, the very best part - automatic door as you enter the hotel lobby. How amazing when you arrive tired and with your hands full.

This was our second time staying at Sigló Hotel. We originally stayed with them in 2016 and they made such a favorable impression we were very excited to return. I must say, they did not disappoint! This visit was just as superb as our last stay. The room was spacious yet still felt quite cozy. The view was stunning. And the beds were the most comfortable of anywhere we stayed. We truly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and sauna. There were abundant delicious items available from the breakfast buffet in the morning. And I don't want to forget to mention the exceptional staff. Everyone we met was very welcoming, friendly and happy to help. Just a magical experience and we won't wait as long to come back next time! Highly recommend!

Hotel Siglo is a very good hotel with excellent amenities and comfortable accommodations. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay for all guests. The rooms are clean, modern, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing environment.||||However, one area for improvement is the buffet. While the food quality is generally high, the options for vegan guests are somewhat limited. Expanding the vegan offerings would greatly enhance the dining experience for those following a plant-based diet.||||Overall, Hotel Siglo is a great choice for travelers, but it would benefit from a more inclusive buffet selection.

We only stayed here one night but it was a very nice stay. Hotel was clean, well managed in a beautiful setting. Great hot tub outside, small cute bar and room with a fire. Shower was great but no door. Great museum accross the street. Pretty harbor around it.

Will be always a special place in my heart. We had a great stay here, super clean and chic hotel. The hottub was very nice addition. Very nice selection of drinks & cocktails at the bar as well. Everyone was very kind and attentive. The breakfast can be improved or extended in terms of variety. We did not use the sauna.

We stayed at the Siglo during our 17 day tour of Iceland and wow, what a great find. The hotel was beautiful, the room was incredible and the views are as nice as you will see anywhere. The outside hot tub and sauna were an extremely nice way to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Wanted to give a special shout out to Anna and Andrea at the front desk, they were amazing, helpful and kind! If you have a chance, make sure to go to Seagull 67 for a beer!

Siglo Hotel in Siglufjörður is like a hidden gem on the northern coast of Iceland. The views of the harbor and surrounding mountains were breathtaking. Our room was cozy, and the staff provided exceptional service. We also loved the hot tub by the water—so relaxing after a day of whale watching! The hotel’s restaurant was another highlight with fresh seafood dishes that were simply delicious. We would highly recommend staying here.
