Thank you guys for making our anniversary Sunday lunch so special! The decor and vibes are beautiful and serene. The service was great, really attentive and the food and drinks were lovely. We didn’t feel rushed to leave even though it was so busy. A really gorgeous day, thanks again.

Lovely B&B in Lacock, came to stay a few weeks ago, rooms were lovely, clean and warm. Lovely location, service in the pub and restaurant were amazing (sorry not to get names) but all in all a place on my list to recommend staying at! Thanks again!

Good food, friendly staff and stunning location. I didn't stay here, but went for a breakfast that was very tasty. Great building and garden. Cosy atmosphere! The only thing that can be better is the coffee, that wasn't really my cup of tea (and the machine is good).

An impressive restaurant with rooms. Great service, very comfortable bedroom, excellent food. Our host, Maraya did a fantastic job of looking after us. Nothing was too much trouble. Lacock is a National Trust village - parking is limited, but the village is beautiful.

Relatively quick service for a pub on a busy Sunday lunch time! I experienced very friendly service from the staff and the only reason I can’t give 5 stars is because there is no wheelchair accessible bathroom and outside seating was sadly not available for those eating. Otherwise it was a really splendid experience, and entrance to the pub was wheelchair accessible. There is one small-ish step to the woman’s bathroom, suitable for me as an ambulatory wheelchair user but if you are visiting and have mobility trouble maybe send a trusted person in to scout out for you beforehand. The food was absolutely marvellous, with a wide range of gluten free and vegetarian options and really delicious chips. I enjoyed the light bites menu, with calamari and battered fish. With the friendly village and beautiful surroundings, you could hardly wish for a better place to spend a lunch time, and I hope to be back soon!

A true gem tucked into the picturesque village of Lacock, Kiss of an Angel is an unforgettable experience housed in a delightfully crooked 15th-century English inn. The centuries-old architecture—with its slanted floors and time-warped ceilings—only deepens the charm, immersing you in a sense of history that feels both authentic and romantic. But the real star here is the restaurant. Their lamb preparation is nothing short of world-class—easily one of the finest renditions I’ve ever had, balancing rustic depth with elegant execution. Local beers and ciders flow generously, perfectly complementing the menu. Grab another round for the garden or upper floor den. Service is warm, professional, and attentive without being overbearing. As a bonus, my wife is vegetarian, and the plant-based dishes were genuinely excellent—creative, satisfying, and treated with the same care and intention as the meat-forward offerings. Not a single afterthought on the plate. Come for the charm, stay for the food, and leave already planning your next visit.

Lovely location and surroundings. Pretty garden to relax in and enjoy a drink before dinner. Nice menu and friendly, attentive staff. Dog friendly too. The pie, pearl barley and fish dishes were all delicious but the sweet potato starter was a little disappointing in both look and taste. The truffle cheese croquettes were extremely small and only three in total. Disappointed as not a fair size starter in comparison to the squid? Enjoyable evening.

Ruby was wonderful and very helpful! She was waiting on quite a few tables so everything took a bit longer, but it was all well worth it. Excellent food, ambience & service. The fireplace was roaring so it got very hot, so wear layers!

Yelp
My only regret about eating here was that I can't eat here often. I contacted the restaurant about a month ago asking if they had vegan fare and they got right back saying they did. We made a reservation, to which we arrived slightly early. The place was empty (about 6.30pm), but by the time we left a few hours later, it was bustling. I had the vegan tempura starter, eggroll main (which I'm still thinking about), and the plum rice pudding dessert (which I sadly had to share with my partner). I'd eat all of it again. And again. And again. My partner had the scallop starter (on specials menu) which he describes as "divine". And he loved his lamb main so much that he actually started to pace his eating to make it last longer. Ambiance is beautiful, service is spectacular. With two starters, two mains, a pudding, and a bottle of prosecco, our bill was just over £80 - for the quality, we'd gladly pay that again in a heartbeat. I'd very happily come back to Lacock every time I'm back in England just to eat here.

Yelp
We had the best room in the inn. It was nice, very quaint.... However the toilet would not flush adequately, and the water pressure in the shower was absolutely awful. But it was nice considering what it is.

Yelp
Sadly the British are not known for the greatest food but there are a few places that serve traditional British fare with such attention to detail that the end result is truly a meal fit for a King. At the Sign of an Angle is one such place. Menu items include wild boar sausage, lamb's kidneys in Madeira and a peppercorn steak. Fresh ingredients, local cheeses and fresh baked bread round out the meal. 8 of us ordered about half the items on the menu and it was all delicious. After eating here one has to wonder why so many other 'traditional' English restaurants are so bad? If they all served food like this England would not have the reputation it does.

Yelp
The restaurant was absolutely lovely. The staff was so attentive and the place was so authentic. We went with a big group and everything we ordered was amazing. The duck especially was spectacular.

Yelp
The food here is excellent. it's a busy little spot which can mean a bit of a wait by times. The staff is so friendly. Soups are divine! We also ate breakfast here, the full English is something else.

Yelp
Had yet another great meal last night at At the Sign pf the Angel. We don't go often enough to be classed as regulars, but this is always our first choice for a proper meal out. Prices are very reasonable, around £18 for the 2 course dinner menu (slightly more for a la carte), and the quality of food is first class. Yes, Lucknam Park and the Bath Priory are better, but are also considerably more expensive. I can't think of anywhere else locally where you'd get comparable quality food for for similar money.
