Signal Mountain Summit Road is absolutely worth the drive—such a beautiful, off-the-beaten-path experience! The pullouts along the way offer incredible views, and the scenery from the top is breathtaking. There are restrooms available at the summit, which is a nice bonus. We even had the pleasure of seeing “Hollywood,” the local elk who’s known for hanging around the parking lot and greeting visitors. An unforgettable stop that I highly recommend!

This was a scenic drive up to the summit to get some panoramic views of the sunset and the mountain ranges. Not too crowded but parking spots can be unavailable right before sunset time. The road to get here is narrow and curved. Pit toilets available at the lookout 2 minutes before the final stop.

A full 360° view, but obstructed by some trees at the very top. Decent amount of parking at the summit as well a bit earlier on the road. The Signal Mountain trail is easy to access from here. I recommend going early to avoid getting stuck behind slow vehicles on the narrow road. Bring binoculars!

100% Recommend. Watch out for driver is going way too fast. If you take your time and go the speed limit, you will see an abundance of wildlife in the woods lining the road. Keep an eye out for deer crossing. The road is easy to navigate.

Narrow, steep, winding road up to the summit. Drive with caution when there are cars passing, people hiking or biking. Views up the top are wide open. Unfortunately we could not capture good pictures or views due to hazy conditions.

Great viewpoint to see the entire valley. Be sure to take your binoculars. Also a nice drive to see wildlife.

Gorgeous vista! Worth the drive up to the to. There are vault toilets at the top, too, and plenty of parking. Get to see why the Snake River is aptly named.

Absolutely breathtaking views - worth every minute of the drive! Holy moly, what a payoff! My wife and I made the winding drive up Signal Mountain and the panoramic views from the summit completely blew us away. This might be the best bang-for-your-buck experience in all of Grand Teton National Park. The 360-degree views are simply unreal - the entire Teton Range stretching out in front of you, Jackson Lake sparkling below, and the Snake River winding through the valley like a silver ribbon. We could see for miles and miles in every direction. The scale of everything just takes your breath away. What I loved most was how accessible this summit is. No hardcore hiking required - just a scenic 5-mile drive up a paved road, and boom, you’re rewarded with views that rival any mountain you’d have to climb for hours to reach. Perfect for us since we wanted the payoff without the workout! We timed our visit for late afternoon and the lighting was absolutely magical. Brought our cameras but honestly, no photo can capture the sheer grandeur of standing up there. The silence, the fresh mountain air, the feeling of being on top of the world - pure perfection. Pro tip: Bring layers! It’s noticeably cooler at the summit, but so worth it for these incredible views. Already planning to come back for sunrise next time! 🏔️📸
