Signal Records

Visiting Chicago from out of town last weekend, we went to a few record stores. Signal Records was BY FAR my favorite experience. It could have been dangerous for me if I had more time and more money. It was a SUPER well organized store with several specific sub-genres in their own sections. There were a TON of unique titles for being a smaller space. Prices were very reasonable. I walked out with a very respectable stack without having to break the bank. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this store. And even for out-of-towners like me that might not be able to make it in person, they also have a Discogs profile with over 10k titles that you can order from. DEFINITELY worth a look.

Nice selection of music. They let you listen to music in the back with headphones to know what you’re buying. Would recommend for anyone looking to get new music at a good price

I’ve been meaning to stop in at Signal Records after seeing all the great Instagram posts and I finally made it. Great store, fair pricing with an extensive jazz selection. I’ll definitely be back to browse and buy again.

Bought from signal logan square multiple times. Along with the one in wicker, the curation is amazing especially for someone into collecting jazz records.

Just a great record shop. They have a bit of everything but if you're specifically seeking Jazz, electronic, house or Japanese they have some awesome titles. Sure, they'll sell you a copy of Rumours or Dark Side of the Moon if you want but the real beauty of Signal is its more niche offerings.

Picked up some awesome YMO records here. Great selection and curation! Don’t really see a lot of Japanese stuff around compared to this place!
