Signau House & Garden

Beautiful historic house with guest rooms and event space. I went for a lunch there that was absolutely delicious in a gorgeous setting. The garden is amazing. The people at the luncheon who stayed at the Signau House told me how comfortable the rooms and beds were.

Amazing stay, great room, breakfast and very friendly staff. Able to park (although a bit expensive) but very convenient. Walking distance from city centre and Botanic Garden.

Beautiful house at a great location and wonderful garden. Parking is very nice and secure. Unfortunately, the breakfast service was very slow and we felt kind of ignored by the staff even though there were only 4 tables taken. The room is open and quiet, small minus is the lack of a door or separation between the bathroom/toilet and the bedroom.

We spent three nights here and had a wonderful time. The hotel is truly beautiful, set in a quiet side street just a few minutes walk from Stadelhofen Station (direct trains to Zurich Airport). We stayed in the large and very well appointed room (No 2), which looks over the gardens. The bed was firm and very comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious, and it was a delight to look out onto the lovely, tranquil garden (which is a great place to simply sit and enjoy). The New Botanical Gardens are just a 5 minute walk from the hotel and worth a visit. Tea & coffee is available 24/7, as is as a well stocked "honesty bar". Suzanne and Luca were the perfect hosts, and they were supported by a team that welcome guests not simply as employees might, but in a way that shows they really care about their visitors. Julia deserves special mention for going well above and beyond what could be expected. Although Signau House is a hotel, it offers guests the relaxed feeling of being being welcomed into the home of good friends, who give you all the space you might wish for but are on-call when needed. We can't wait to return and once again experience the very best of Swiss hospitality and service.

Even though it already appeared very elegant and cozy on the website, Signau House managed to exceed our expectations. We went to Zurich to celebrate our civil wedding ceremony. We only mentioned this fact to the staff because we needed the bride's stylist to come by early in the morning - and yet the loving care we received was overwhelming. Everyone, management and staff, was very mindful and supportive. In general, the villa has a number of impressive features: a very favorable location, charming design, friendly and familial atmosphere, a highly professional staff, delicious breakfast (the "Gipfelis" are an absolute must) and so forth. Even in the smallest details highest quality is always guaranteed (look no further than the "Christian Fischbacher" towels, the "Soeder" hand sanitizer and the exquisite choice of drinks you can pour yourself in the bar on the ground floor). We didn't have to time to check out the cinema, but it looks amazing. We'll definitively go there next time. Highly recommended.

Beautiful house with a nice ambience and very friendly and dedicated staff. Breakfast was excellent in a beautiful sunroom with great coffee. The Lounges are nice and airy, with stylish furniture. Room was sunny, windows could open. Great communication regarding arrival times. Parking garage is also a plus!

This lovely hotel, a former private residence, was recommended to me. It’s located in a quiet residential area but within walking distance to the tram as well as several restaurants. Rooms are very spacious as well as comfortable. Grounds are beautiful too and well maintained

Stayed one night overnight. Quiet place, informal, reception and office service is 'old school' with an office and not much in terms of administration and the like. The house and rooms are well appointed, traditional decor. with a lovely garden, patio and winter garden. We did not dine/eat there, other than the breakast after our night stay. Limited number of rooms and service. Feels more like you're a houseguest in a discrete mansion than at a hotel. If you're looking to book a number of rooms at the same time, have a family reunion and/or similar size event this could be the perfect space. If you're looking for a full service hotel, with dining, cafe, gym, business center, then this definitely is NOT the right place. Renting the space and organizing a private garden party would be exceptional...
