SIGNIEL Busan (Busan, Korea) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Just as the Signiel Seoul occupies the upper floors of the tallest building in the capital, the Signiel Busan stands atop the highest structure in the coastal city of Busan. And like its sister in Seoul, its literal height is only the most straightforward aspect of the loftiness of the experience. Among the strengths of this Korean-owned luxury hotel are its lavish contemporary rooms and suites, many of which feature balconies with views of Haeundae Beach and Mipo Habor. The spa and wellness offerings are first-rate, and the restaurants include a modern Chinese restaurant as well as a lounge with a menu by the highly decorated chef Bruno Menard." - Tablet Hotels

WOW and WOW!!! I kid you not, this is a truly luxurious experience. So much so I'm heading again to celebrate my 60th. I absolutely love my trips to Busan, and can't get this part of the coast out of my head and there is not better base than the Signiel. It's been my experience that you will find a luxury property but the team can be lacking, NOT the Signiel in Busan, their team from top down are stand out. Now this is a rare example, I accidentely dropped my phone last visit, from 16 floors, and thank goodness it was early morning and no person was harmed. The night duty receptionist came to my room with a flash light/torch, and amazingly he could see my phone screen lit up floors down, from there he went to retrieve my phone by gaining access from a private villa. That is just one example, another is I am British/American, my Hangul is coming along, but most of the staff speak immaculate English, and it's as though they have learned British English. Nothing is out of place and you will not find a spec of dust. I have been in Spa and Wellness Management for over 30 years, the Signeil facilities and pool are exquisite. I wish we were all travelling when I was young, I would have done everything to work here. I so look forward to visiting again. DO NOT hesitate, even if it's only once, treat yourself to the most beautiful memorable time. All love, always, Karen x

Every step from checkin in to staying in this hotel has been amazing. They have the kindest staff and the view of the ocean from the room and the lounge is lovely. Eugene guided us through our room and he was very thorough and friendly. Would love to come back if I get a chance

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel from start to finish. The check-in was smooth, and the service throughout my stay made me feel genuinely well taken care of. The staff were organized, informative, and welcoming — they took the time to explain all the amenities available, which I really appreciated. One of the things I truly love is when brands think through every detail — and this hotel did exactly that. From the subtle branding on the amenities and staff uniforms to the embossed logo on the biscuits they served, everything felt considered and intentional. It’s that kind of thoughtful design that really elevates the guest experience. The hotel was also very foreigner-friendly — most of the staff spoke English, which made everything easy and comfortable. The cocktail and drink selection was excellent, especially during the complimentary happy hour with champagne and wine. Another standout for me was the small on-site bakery — perfect for grabbing a fresh pastry if you're on the go. The strawberry cake, in particular, was a highlight — light, flavorful, and super tasty. I was there for both work and leisure, and the lounge and conference room were well-equipped and comfortable. I also appreciated the range of snacks and drinks available throughout the day — a generous and thoughtful touch. I wouldn’t say it’s budget-friendly, but when compared to luxury hotels abroad, it’s definitely worth it. You get great value for the level of service, design, and experience. I’m not sure if all their branches are this well-executed, but I’ll definitely be checking out more locations from this brand in the future!

What a wonderful trip to Busan because of the friendly staff and accommodations at Signiel Busan. It really delivers as a family resort hotel. The concierge team made great recommendations to a samgyetang place and also arranged our jumbo taxi rides. I want to particularly thank Kir at the concierge desk for her above and beyond efforts. We also visited the lounge on the 8th floor. Grace greeted us every morning with a smile and was so pleasant and helpful. The Signiel brand definitely does to great lengths to make sure their guests are comfortable including starting off with a welcome tea and having complimentary water and nespresso in the room. Their indoor and outdoor pools have life guards and a great view. Just remember to bring your swim caps. Their fitness equipment is state of the art. There is a LCT mall with Starbucks and a GS fresh minimart for snacks. Signiel Busan is an ideal location for those who want to stay near Haeundae beach in Busan.

Where do I even start? From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this so-called “luxury” hotel thrives on arrogance and bureaucracy rather than hospitality.||||We got to the lobby at noon, politely hoping for an early check-in. Instead, we were flatly dismissed with zero courtesy, told that check-in is at 3 PM, and practically waved away like an inconvenience. No smile, no effort, nothing. When we returned at 3 PM, thinking we could finally get our room, we were dumped onto a waiting list. Finally, after more waiting, we got the keys at 3:45, and it was nearly 4 PM by the time we entered our room. For a five-star hotel, that’s nothing short of embarrassing.||||And the pool — the very reason we booked this hotel — was the biggest scam of all. Everything costs extra: a mandatory swim cap (at an absurd price), sunbeds you thought were included from the photos (nope, they charge you extortionate fees for those too), and a pool bar that was laughably overpriced and poorly stocked. The lifeguards? Militaristic, humorless, and rude, barking orders like drill sergeants. The strictest, most joyless pool experience I’ve ever had.||||The most ridiculous scam of all: you’re allowed to enter the pool only once per day. That means if you step out to grab something from your room, you’re done — you cannot re-enter. Who comes up with such a stupid, customer-hostile rule in a luxury hotel that advertises its pool as the main attraction? It borders on fraud. And to top it off, one day each month the pool is closed entirely, yet the room rates remain unchanged. No warning, no compensation, just a shrug.||||Oh, and let’s talk about their so-called “private beach.” What a joke. There is no private beach. Instead, they funnel you through a half-abandoned shopping mall with broken escalators to reach a shabby public access point. The marketing is nothing but lies.||||This hotel charges outrageous rates but delivers the hospitality of a second-rate motel. Every aspect reeks of nickel-and-diming and false advertising. What should have been a highlight of our trip turned into a frustrating, bitterly disappointing experience.||||Save your money, your time, and your sanity. Avoid this hotel like the plague. It is absolutely not worth it.

I’m very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The balcony still had glass shards that weren’t cleaned properly, and I had to request housekeeping to return. The in-room Nespresso machine was broken, and despite asking for feather-free bedding due to allergies, this was completely ignored. To make matters worse, when I went to the lounge, instead of being assisted or offered alternatives, I was simply told I would be contacted later because it was full.|For a property that charges premium rates, the service and attention to detail were far below expectations. Basic requests were overlooked, problems were left unresolved, and the overall experience was careless and disappointing.

Easily one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. |5 star facilities, fantastic pool, great service! Everything about the hotel was phenomenal and the price isn't even that bad either considering the location

Check-in was a nightmare: rude staff, endless waiting, and zero courtesy. The pool — the only reason we booked — is a scam: everything costs extra (caps, sunbeds, drinks), lifeguards act like drill sergeants, and the dumbest rule ever means you can only enter once a day. To make things worse, once a month the pool is closed, but you still pay full price. Their so-called “private beach” is another lie — it’s just a sad backdoor through an abandoned mall. This place pretends to be luxury, but feels more like a rip-off motel. Avoid it.
