Very nice garden, great schnitzel but a bit expensive when you add sides and sauce (which both are mandatory to complete the experience). Waiters were a bit eager to get our plates back before we finished but other than that, very helpful and polite.

What a great surprise! We had a lovely dinner here, on the outside terrace. The atmosphere was cosy, the waiters were very friendly and helpful and the food was great. We tried two of the vegetarian dishes and also the Wiener Schnitzel, everything was delicious! ☺️

Chicken schnitzel was so yum and very well priced (15). A glass of wine was also only 5. Great ambiance!

Tasty food, sizeable portions, excellent service! It's a historic restaurant from the 18th cent., a hidden gem, away from the tourist-y stuff. We had our Christmas dinner there and were quite happy with our experience!

The service was exceptional and the vibe was quite nice. They do upsell salads and sides at the table so be aware there’s an additional charge for things like potato salad. The wiener schnitzel was quite good but the potato salad was very sweet. The mushroom dumplings were covered in butter.

We were over at nachtsmarkt and could not find a wiener schnitzel kinda restuarant and walked here, about 15 minutes. So glad we did. Not touristy, authentic. And locals were eating here We had the veal wiener schnitizle, the cordon blue, potato salad and cabbage salad. And a beer they brew themselves Everything was delicious. Came here for my first meal during my trip to Vienna, and loved that we were able to enjoy authentic Austrian cuisine at a restaurant that also offers a couple delicious vegan options! We came around 8pm on a Saturday and didn't have to wait for a table. Our waitress was a little impatient but the other workers were nice. My husband ordered the Schweinsfilet (pork with fried potatoes), and I got the gebratene Polenta with pumpkin ragout. Both of us were blown away by the quality of the food, everything was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. And I especially appreciate when there is a real vegan option that isn't just a plain salad. Portions were also huge and left us very full and satisfied! Highly recommend coming here for quality Austrian food!

Ate here for a Christmas Eve buffet. I particularly enjoyed the appetizers - pate sampler, smoked fish sampler and ham.

Dining in Silberwirt is always a rewarding experience. First of all it is located in the incomparable charming Schlossquadrat and itself is in a 300 year old building. Second, everyone is always friendly here. And last but not least there is the wonderful food. It's a great choice when friends are visiting. On this visit to Silberwirt I decided to try their Hüferlspitz and it was tender and delicious with the best Apfelkren I have ever tasted accompanying it. The Schnittlauch sauce was also delicious. Friends loved my recommendation of the Schinkenfleckerl served here along with their artistically arranged garden salad. The Zwickl bier was a perfect thirst quencher. And when it's finally time to get the check, there's no sticker shock for all the great food & drinks which you have enjoyed! Quite simply, Silberwirt is one of the best restaurants in Vienna.

This restaurant has a super cute back area that is out in the open. The greenery and fresh air definitely add to the experience. Staff here is very accommodating. I ordered the liver soup and chicken schnitzel, both of which I thought were delicious. The chicken schnitzel comes with a large side of fries and overall portions are very large. Prices are also very reasonable!

This was a perfect first experience of typical Austrian food. I can highly recommend their red wine selection, and the beef salad was life changing. It's nothing like I expected, and everything I wanted in my mouth.

Sunday evening, 6 PM, me and my wife. Was told that all outside tables were reserved, and that we might prefer the "pizza and pasta place around the corner". Went inside, was seated in the adjacent room, then was ignored for 15 minutes. When we approached the bar to see what's up, a different waiter told us to check out the "pizza and pasta place around the corner". No schnitzel for us! Not sure if we offended anyone when we walked in? But look elsewhere if you're American. They refused to serve us.

A nice and cozy restaurant with traditional cuisine and warm welcoming. The server provided us few recommendations and we did really enjoy it.

Silberwirt is THE traditional Austrian restaurant of the Schloss Quadrat. It was so nice to sit outside in the fresh air at one of the wood tables under the grean leaves! and I felt genuinely welcome by the waiters as I entered. The food matches the standard of good Austrian cuisine, simple, tasty, and in huge portions! I had a really nice dinner at the Silberwirt and would recommend it to anyone looking for a chill out evening in a true Austrian spirit!

I had the classic Wienerschnitzel with green salad and their own brew. Everything was exceptional along with the friendly and helpful service and the cozy atmosphere. It's a shame this location isn't in a more trafficked area. I think they would be even busier.

Ok restaurant food nice but very rude waitress, also when you pay the bill they walk away with your credit card also for some reason only accept Visa cards not master card.

Great authentic Austrian food. Service was prompt, both waiters serving us spoke English and we're helpful interpreting the English version of the menu. Sat on the patio, a little airier for us since we're noon-smokers. Two meals and a cup of coffee were 30€.

The service was very good and the food was average. The server was helpful by providing us with English menus, and was patient while we decided on our dining choices. The food was average. We tried the beef, the polenta, the fried chicken and the ham and pasta casserole.

Got takeaway- very disappointing experience. After waiting for the food to be prepared, I discovered that while they accept credit card, they only take visa. No good for me. So I had a 15 minute round trip to get cash. After all that the food was extremely average- like high school cafeteria food. The lady who served me was nice and the restaurant itself looked pleasant, but I certainly wouldn't recommend.
