SILENA, your soulful hotel (South Tyrol, Alps / Dolomites) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Though the national borders are of secondary importance when it comes to the Alps — nature doesn’t much care whether it’s in Italy, or Austria, or Switzerland — you know you’re in Italian territory when you encounter a hotel with a name like “SILENA, your soulful hotel.” It’s nothing if not memorable, and in that way it’s entirely fitting for a hotel as unique as this one." - Tablet Hotels

A wonderfully stylish, peaceful and friendly hotel in a beautiful location with the most amazing rooftop Onsen.||Staff are welcoming and did everything to make our stay perfect, including a last minute room change for one of us, as the weather was rainy which meant the terrace of the Studio Recreation Panorama was not really practical.|Rooms are stylish, very comfortable and have lots of little extras.||The food is fantastic - amazing breakfast and well prepared, delicious 5 course dinner. Great selection of cocktails, wines and other drinks with very reasonable prices for such a high end hotel.||The weekly program is great. Guided hikes were particularly enjoyable with Steffi. There is a welcome apéro for guests, daily ice cream cart, Kaiserschmarren day, nibbles and fruit always available. Wonderful herbal teas and fresh water provided daily in rooms. The daily soul book surprises, creative corner, vast library and much more!||Spa is fantastic, treatments are excellent and very well priced. Pool facilities, saunas, steam rooms and best of all the rooftop Japanese onsen. Simply fabulous.||Our 2 dogs were welcomed with their own Cloud 7 bowls and a free toy, plus cuddles and treats from all the staff. Welcome in most areas of the hotel except spa and restaurant (bar ok). Great dog walking on the doorstep and welcome on the guided hikes. ||We will be returning very soon..

This hotel building is very nice. The rooms are of high standard, as well as the common facilities. The spa is fantastic. The food was very good. The breakfast is great, and most of the dishes during the five course dinner were delicious. The service is a bit uneven, some of the staff was fantastic and some were not. We also felt that the hotel was a little "soulless" despite it's name. It is family owned but compared to other alp hotels, you could not really tell.

These house is filled with love and joy. The interior screams coziness and loveliness. My wife and I spend a week in February 2023 there. It was a splendid time. #1 the house’s spirit The owner family is present in the hotel themselves. One of them welcomed us upon arrival and guided us to our rooms. And during our stay we’ve met randomly somewhere in the venue and had a chat. But also the other staff were kind, helpful and caring too. The amount of details in this hotel is unmatched. A detailed decoration to my is a good sign for mindfulness. Because somebody visited every room and felt what would suit it best for it to be even cozier or more welcoming. The program of the week is written on a blackboard. That gave it a very individual touch. #2 the lounge areas Throughout the hotel there were several areas to relax. The distributed books and magazines invite you to take your mind and soul for a walk. Fire places topped it all off. #3 the beverages and coffee The coffee (cappuccino and flat white) served for breakfast were splendid. The coffee there is still in my top 10 of all coffees I’ve ever had. The alcoholic drinks are the usual suspects plus some new flavours. For breakfast you can mix your own fresh juice. You pick the fruits and veggies you like and put them in a juice press. Voila your sweet and healthy and delicious power drink. #4 the food Wow - I can only say that the taste matches the attention-grabbing looks of the individual arrangements. Rarely something fancy, mostly basic ingredients of very high quality and prepared in sometimes unusual ways. #5 the spa sports Every morning there was a yoga session 0800-0900. Small room and small class. Tow or three different yoga teachers. We tried the swimming pool and massages but no other part of the spa. Hanging out by the pool on the giant beds was relaxing. #6 the surrounding The black cubical hotel is located in a small village in a skying area. For the top floor you have a fabulous view across the valley. In later winter and early spring the colours of the grass, trees and mountains are surreally beautiful. Check out my picture. They seem to have a filter but they don’t. It is all genuine nature in its harsh beauty of this particular saison.

We stayed at Silena Hotel in the Dolomites for 5 nights in June. The location is peaceful and surrounded by nature, which we loved. The weather was great during our stay, which made it even more enjoyable. Food and service were both consistently good — everything felt well taken care of without being over the top. We’d like to come back in the winter to experience it in the snow, which we imagine would be a whole different experience.

We had the immense joy of staying at SILENA for three weeks, and after such an extended stay, we can genuinely say: this was one of the most extraordinary wellness hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the beautifully curated interior – tasteful, harmonious, and full of soulful touches that made every space feel both inspiring and deeply relaxing. The wellness area was equally stunning: stylishly designed, spotlessly clean, and clearly cared for with love and attention to detail. The food deserves special praise. I have several dietary restrictions, and in many wellness hotels that usually means a lot of “leaving things out.” But not at SILENA. Here, the kitchen team went above and beyond – preparing personalized, beautifully cooked meals just for me. From a dairy-free crème brûlée to a cordon bleu adapted just for my needs – I felt truly seen, cared for, and spoiled. But what really sets SILENA apart is its people. The warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality of the staff made us feel not only welcome but truly at home. Every day was filled with thoughtful gestures, warm smiles, and a sense of connection that is incredibly rare – even among high-end wellness hotels. We even made new friends during our stay – a testament to the atmosphere of openness and care that this hotel fosters. Add to that the breathtaking natural surroundings, the well-organized guided hikes, and the exquisite cocktails at the bar (expertly curated and crafted), and you have a place that doesn’t just meet expectations – it redefines them. Thank you, SILENA, for a soulful, deeply nourishing, and unforgettable stay. We cannot wait to return.

Beautiful Hotel in scenic surroundings. We stayed at the SILENA for a week and enjoyed our time. The Team is very friendly, helpful and engaging. We booked quite late and ended up staying in one of the Suites over two floors which was beautiful, though I have to say that the open bathroom concept is not my favorite. The outside blinds that fully black out the room during the night were awesome. We had a large terrace which had nice views but only two standard garden chairs and a random sun bed that didn’t match the style of the hotel and room. Breakfast and Dinner were tasty and beautifully presented. The Restaurant Team was also great and we enjoyed the bar area with library in the evenings. (Tasty Negroni) The Gym is one of the better ones I found in a hotel. The Wellness area is beautiful, topped by the Onsen Pool. Only point, the outside pool is nice but I found the area around it quite uninspiring, and the wooden floor around the pool looks like it’s a 100 years old. The garden area is beautiful but the sun loungers are standard, have seen better in the area. Some gazebo Loungers maybe. There’s plenty of parking including a garage. Location: the hotel is up in the mountains, approximately 30 minutes away from Brixen. There’s a lift up a mountain that can be used for free with plenty of hiking options. Other then that there’s not much to do. Overall 8.5/10 - would definitely come again

We loved our stay at silena soulful hotel! I was a little nervous about staying at a hotel with half board as the food does often not live up to expectation. The menu was 5 course ala carte with 2 separate options for each course and was amazing!! The restaraunt was also very flexible and allows you to substitute courses if you wish. The staff were fun, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was also fantastic - the fruit juicer was a nice touch. The facilities and rooms met and exceeded our expectations. We would definitely come back. The included cable cart to the local mountain was also fantastic option in addition to seceda

What a beautiful hotel with so many special small details. Great service, wonderful food, best massage, easy access to the cable car nearby. Adults only, great spa, perfect breakfast, nice cocktails, did I say great service?!||Keep in mind that with warm weather the room can be a little warm during the day. But at night it will be fine.||Short summary, big tip!
