This was my first trip to Tarifa and we celebrated my birthday dinner here. What an awesome experience, one of my friends is Vegan and my partner is gluten-free, there were options for both of them and their meals came out perfectly. The atmosphere is great, the house wines are delicious and the service is attentive, kind, thoughtful, and welcoming to all guests no matter if local or visiting. I would highly recommend this for a small or large group, and get the dessert! Carrot cake and the basil sorbet are two of the best desserts I’ve ever had in my entire life and I usually ski on out on dessert, just wow. Enjoy, you don’t want to miss this place!

A MUST visit restaurant and bar the food, drinks and service are exceptional we had a magical day and night here starting with drinks in the sun on the roof followed by dinner later in the restaurant. Each dish is presented with style and full of flavour they have an extensive wine and cocktail menu and the atmosphere is electric with everyone equally enjoying their experience - one on our list for a future visit

Wow! First of all the staff is very nice and welcoming. I was dining alone on the bar - 10/10 cocktail (very professional bartender), I took the tuna bella with the ponzu sauce - one of the best I had, and for desert the basil sorbet with maracuya sauce was just perfect! I recommend a 100 percent and would definitely go back.

Very very good food. So happy we came here. I would recommend: Angus beef with sweet potato puree (ternera Angus con pure de boniato). It melts in your mouth. I would also DEFINITELY recommend the basil and lemon sorbet with peach sauce. This was mindblowingly amazing.

A fantastic find in a beautiful old building. The barman is very knowledgeable so we returned for a meal. Not disappointed. We ordered the Tuna cheeks with trumpets of death. Delicious. Also the rib eye steak which came with a complimentary side order of fries. For dessert we had the curried banana with ice cream and coconut and lime foam. Hands down the best dessert I've ever had.

Great option if you’re looking for a more upscale restaurant with a beautiful location (historic silo). The food was good and the service very friendly. We were there for Valentine’s Day and next to us was a huge group (20 Pax) half of them kids who were very loud, it’s obviously not the restaurants fault but this very loud and busy group killed a bit the otherwise romantic and cozy vibe of the restaurant. So definitely still recommend when you look for some place for a more special date night

Absolutely delicious. Food was terrific. Well flavoured, unique compositions, and prepared and cooked perfectly. The polpo was the best I think I’ve ever had in my life. Super tender and delicious. Each dish was unique and tasty. The ambiance was really nice. Huge wall of wines and liquor giving the place a really nice vibe. The staff were extremely attentive and very friendly. Highly recommend!!

A stunning setting for fabulous food. The grilled octopus and prawn dishes were both excellent. Great value and a wonderful wine list. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Best Grilled Octopus I have ever had! Spouse got the eggplant and loved it! Mushroom appetizer and wine was good too! Was recommended by our hotel and greatly appreciated! It was a nice environment and building had some history too! Service was 5 star! Even with our last minute trip they were patient with us speaking English! Usually we try to learn basics before travel but an 18hr flight didn't have us on top of things! Highly recommended ~ my new favorite! Will definitely share with friends back home!

Yelp
Got the Tuna Ribs. Peanut sauce coating surprised me in the best way. First bite had me like yooooooooo! Garnished with onion, jalapeño, dried corn. Nice looking space. Would have liked to include a pic but I housed the meal immediately bc it was so good. A great flavorful meal after coming back from the kinda bland food of Morocco.

Yelp
OK, so I'm super behind on writing about the experience in Tarifa, but since I can still recall every detail like it was last night, I can safely declare it unforgettable. Let's start with ambiance. We wandered down the narrow, twisting, lonely streets of the old city, with high, solid, whitewashed walls towering to either side as the sun was creeping to the far horizon, feeling like the only people in the world. We were beginning to be worried that we had missed it when we happened upon the open, steam-punk style gates in the wide, inviting doorway set into the wall. Our host in Tarifa advised that we would likely need a reservation, but we tried our luck since the visit was both early in the dinner service and just before the officially recognized beginning of tourist season. We were seated almost immediately, and our table set with a lovely bowl of the bright green olives that this region grows in abundance. I'm fairly certain I've never had better, fresher olives in my life, and that set high expectations for the rest of the meal. We started with the Papas Bravas, since every guide for visiting Spain mentions the dish. You can get Papas Bravas in the States, so we knew we would be expecting fried potatoes topped with crema and drizzled with a picante salsa of some nature. One bite of the little square-cut home-fries dripping with the Silos 19's take on the silky crema and smoky, spicy hot sauce was enough to explain why this dish is near the top of things everyone must try in Spain. We cleaned every last morsel out of that bowl and considered calling over a server to cancel the rest of the order in favor of two more servings. It was just that good. We were still debating the wisdom of more Papas Bravas when our actual dinner order arrived. We had both decided to go for grilled octopus, knowing that it would be far fresher than any we might find at home, and excited for the local take on the spicing. I nearly wept with joy at the first taste, and Raz declared the dish better than any he had tried in the world. I was too speechless to agree until I had savored every last perfectly marinated and grilled piece. Now, writing about it months after the fact, my mouth still waters. We left a completely packed restaurant just as darkness fell on Tarifa, and completely understood why our host had recommended Silos 19. We make the same recommendation. (Date of visit 5/5/2019)

Yelp
Los Silos and El Francès are owned by the same guy. French as you may have guessed. No offense but in my opinion : combining world cuisine (in our case : Spanish dishes) with the French Touch provides the best of the best! Though don't come here for traditional tapas: no jamon, no cheese, etc... We had one of the most delicious lunch there and the staff is very kind. The design of the place is also worth the time. We also had a chat with our neighbors, 2 italians living in Marrocco, who were dining here each time they were in town. What else? And there is no tables outside: opt for El Frances in that case, but reserve in advance (we were annouced 40' waiting time) Bon appétit!
