Where to Stay in Budapest (Updated 2025)

"A three-star option near Andrássy Avenue, Silver Hotel has basic but bright, airy rooms with comfy beds, plenty of outlets and desks for work, and a tasty continental breakfast whose highlight is eating out on the balcony to enjoy city views." - Matthew Kepnes

Very nice accommodations! The unique self-check in system was perfect for our 1 night stay between destinations on a family road trip. The spacious room was very clean and comfortable. Amenities are far superior to anything you get at a regular 3 or 4 star hotel. Ryan, the property manager/event coordinator is great. He was friendly, informative, and made us feel welcome. We will stay here again.

We had a great experience. The property is very clean and convenient. The amenities were perfect for our family. I appreciated the comfortable beds. Also, it's decorated in modern, fashionable colors (neutral and calming). Very well done, thank you!

The room we originally were in had stains on the couch, broken bathroom door, and green mildew around the toilet, hair in the bathroom and had a wet dog smell. I asked to be moved and got put into the room directly next to it. It had the same exact smell and was also dirty and the shower has chunks missing out of the tile and also had the same green stuff around the toilet this room we got moved to has less. I asked again for a clean room and was told to leave immediately and my card would be deactivated. That’s super nice considering I just drove 9 hours and it’s 10 pm. No staff on site to help is what I was told. There’s also what looks to be like a pubic hair on the shower head. I am completely stranded and they claim there’s no other available rooms. So I either sleep in my car or stay here and nap until I can drive again I’m exhausted and can’t safely drive anymore. The hotel AI Ivy also told me to leave in the middle of the night and my key card would be revoked. When I called to explain I needed a refund the numbers you call disconnect and there’s only an email. No one has gotten back to me. I would avoid like the plague.

Was a bit unsure how this experience was going to be as I have never stayed in a concierge-less hotel. Everything was amazing! The room was spacious, kitchen was stocked with everything you need, room was spotless, bathroom was big and had plenty of clean towels. The room really had everything you need and the big balcony was a plus. My only complaint was the room upstairs had a child jumping and running around but I was so tired once I fell asleep, I slept right through it. Pool, clubhouse, spa and fitness center are beautiful and a quick walk or drive to the other side of the complex. Would 100% book and stay here again.

I was fortunate enough to be able to reserve a suite during the 2025 Marine Corps Historic Half Marathon. The Silver Collection Hotel is conveniently located right across the street from Wegmans and within walking distance to several well-known shops and restaurants. As soon as I walked into the suite, I noticed the high ceilings and how spacious the rooms were. The kitchen has modern higher-end appliances that added class to the space. The bedroom was spacious and the mattress and pillows were extremely comfortable. It felt like home away from home. I really appreciated how clean and well organized everything was. It felt like home away from home. ||Special thanks to Robert for his hospitality and for taking the time to make sure I had a pleasant and comfortable stay. ||I highly recommend and encourage travelers to relax and unwind at the Silver Collection Hotel in Fredericksburg, VA. Safe Travels.

We needed a room to break up a long distance drive with the whole fam, dogs included. I was skeptical of the whole contactless hotel, but listened to other reviews and set up the app ahead of time/scheduled my arrival an hour before we intended.|Everything was flawless. We got in with no problem, the room is immaculate, and the rates were extremely reasonable.|The kitchen is huge, unfortunately we wont be here long enough to get to use it. Full size washer/dryer in a huge bathroom. Large bedroom with balcony. |Everything about the place is comfortable. |The only negative thing ive experienced, as minor and irrelevant as it is, was that you can not connect an external device to the TVs. They have Chromecast, but I couldn't directly connect via hdmi... although Ivy (the virtual assistant) was able to get me answers as to if it was doable, and if so how.|I stay in a lot of hotels, I would, and plan to, return here.

Great Fredericksburg Stay ||Booked this hotel relatively last-minute for a night over from our drive from Boca to Greenwich , CT -fantastic in every way!!! Great location, centrally located to absolutely everything you could need or want !!! |The concept of the hotel makes life so easy , and they have excellent customer service . And most important, we were made to feel at home, in the best sense . I loved my stay… and we will be back .

Room is clean and roomy. We traveled with our dog and they had a bowls and a biscuit ready. The app is convenient and easy to use. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Two weeks prior to my stay dates, I sent an email with a couple questions and never received a reply. Upon arrival, the self-serve access did not work well. It's Bluetooth, but your phone must be touching the keypads. Strange. Our room was on the third floor. Open the elevator door and man-o-live.........it stunk. Wet dog smell is the best was to describe the odor. The worst hotel smell I ever experienced. The room was nice. Clean. Nice having a washer & dryer. Only a couple coffees, so BYOC. The bathroom door is a barn-door style. Unfortunately, the door would not stay shut. It would roll open. We stuck towels under the door to hold it in place. Room, clean, nice....bathroom barn door would not stay shut. Dryer full of lint...............gross. No battery in scale. No staff on site, so no one to address issues. "Free Breakfast".............not in hotel, must walk a quarter mile.

Yelp
There are many pluses to this hotel. Location. It's right in the middle of everything you might need. Wegmans! Restaurants! A lot of convenient options for whatever you might want. Rooms are large with the amenities of a condo. We loved the fact that we could cook meals on a full sized stove/oven and store supplies in a full-size fridge, when we wanted. If there are downsides to an almost completely autonomous facility, it would be this. Not everyone is able or patient enough to work with this type of lodging. We arrived one afternoon and noticed that someone had ripped the front door handle off. Frustrated anyone? It was repaired by the next morning. There was also a couple, that same day who didn't speak English. They obviously had problems communicating since they weren't able to get into the building. On a positive note, the automated concierge, Ivy, was helpful and also forwarded calls to the not so automated person to answer concerns/questions. Try to get a room at either end of the building. There are additional windows down the hall that provide natural light that you wouldn't have in an interior room. All in all, a good experience with a few quirks.

Yelp
No one is on site. Finally reached someone after calling several phone numbers and they were very rude and not helpful at all. Don't stay here. several other options in the area.

Yelp
There is no staff on site for the entire property. After calling 8 numbers, finally reached an employee of the company that was not helpful at all. What a weird business model for a hotel, literally no staff on site. We had to stand outside in the rain and wait.

Yelp
What a fantastic Find! Only 28 rooms in this automated hotel. Each room is a condo with a full kitchen including dishwasher, full size refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, microwave etc. Bathroom hosts a large walk in shower, Bluetooth mirror for streaming your tunes, full size washer and dryer. Each outlet has USB plugs too. Lights in the closet and a balcony. I have stayed at Hilton resorts that didn't have this much stuff. Close to the new minor league stadium, Wegmans, shopping etc. Has a pool in the condo subdivision next to the property and a gym. Plus they are Dog friendly. Can't wait to try it again!

Yelp
This hotel was a disappointment. If you look at their website, it shows a nice workout area, grill area and clubhouse, where you get the complementary breakfast. They don't mention that it is more than a quarter of a mile down the road in an apartment complex, The room I ended up staying in on the 4th floor, had low water pressure in the shower, warm, not hot water. There were also dirty dishes in the dishwasher from the previous guest, the furniture is cheap, even by hotel standards. The shelves that hold the towels in the bathroom were falling apart, there was a dresser type of furniture in the bedroom that was falling apart, and the arms of the couch felt as is they were made with 2X4's. The automated system leaves little to be desired, when you call and sometimes get a voice mail for the person responsible or answering the telephone. Will definitely not be staying on my future trips to Fredericksburg.

Yelp
This is a state of the art, zero contact hotel, which, during these times is much needed. You make your reservation, and check in completely online, and as long as you follow the user friendly prompts, check in is seamless. This is not a concept for everyone, and if you prefer a desk with a concierge, this is not for you. But I found my experience to be awesome. The rooms are beautiful, modern and every need is met.

Yelp
The room was decent, but my problem was that the clubhouse (pool, gym, and breakfast) was a looong walk away (into a neighborhood). Also the staff that I did speak with was extremely rude and matter of fact. No customer service, which means if any problems may arise your pretty much on your own. They also charged me the accidental fees when there was no accidentals ( I was only there 1 night). You'd be better off going to townsuites near the Spotsylvania shopping mall. I'd never stay here again the experience was very lackluster.

Yelp
Downgraded to a 3 bc the sliding bathroom door got stuck and I couldn't get out for 15 mins, no manager picking up the phone. Thankfully my spouse was able to get on a chair and realign the door but if i were alone or worse, alone with the kids and got stuck and no one at the hotel picks up the phone, that could have been a huge problem. In other news, The cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in many hotels. The sheets smell like hospital grade disinfectant in a good way. No carpets in most of the area. I didn't even realize how huge the "room" was, it really was an apparent. Beautiful full sized kitchen, den with fold out bed, big bathroom with full size washer and dryer, then a big bedroom with two beds and a Veranda. 2 huge tvs. No front desk person, you use the mobile app to get into the building and your room, so be sure of that before you go. All questions answered in a an automatic text concierge named Ivy which worked well. 4 out of 5 bc I would like to have had a human pick up the phone when I called the manager twice for something but no. A little off putting, need a human sorry! Walls thin also can hear others
