Actually loved our stay here. The guy at reception was lovely and friendly, and was more than happy to help me with any request or query I had. Rooms were tidy and smelt nice. Heat pumps heated the rooms well, bed was super comfy, and shower was really nice and powerful. Super gorgeous and friendly cat that visited us each day too. Would definitely stay here again.

I recently stayed at this hotel for one night. Upon arrival, everything went smoothly — check-in was quick, and on-site parking was available, which was convenient. The room was clean and well-prepared, with fresh towels, extra blankets, and basic toiletries provided. However, the bed was not particularly comfortable. Our original plan was to check out by 10 a.m the next morning, the standard checkout time. Unfortunately, around 8 a.m., the power to our room suddenly went out. This meant the heat pump, kettle, TV, and power outlets all stopped working. It was an extremely cold morning, with temperatures hovering between -1°C and 0°C, so losing heating made the room very uncomfortable very quickly. We tried contacting the front desk, but no staff were available. We also attempted to call the hotel’s main contact number several times, but no one answered, and we never received a call back. With no heat and no assistance, we had no choice but to check out early at 8:30 a.m., cutting our stay short. I’ve attached a screenshot showing the temperature that morning and what the conditions outside looked like. While the first half of our stay was pleasant, the second half was quite disappointing and uncomfortable. A real let down after a promising start.

"Executive Lakeview Room" was a good price @ $86 per night and was clean and tidy. HOWEVER the heat pump didn't work, the fridge didn't work and management are impossible to get hold of. No answer on main phone number for any type of help or while waiting to check in. Used to be a good place to stay but it's going downhill.

The room has seen better days. The carpet and decor isn’t great! We were looking for a budget motel and we got a budget motel. Very quiet motel and close to the town centre. Overall good motel if you’re on a budget!

I had requested an early check-in, which was approved by management. However, when I arrived, the reception STAFF were extremely RUDE told me the room was not ready, and refused to discuss it — simply offering a refund and suggesting I find another place to stay. I had to wait 1.5 hours to check in, and after a long day of travel, I was too exhausted to look for alternative accommodation. The room was also very disappointing — it smelled strongly of smoke, as if someone had just smoked inside. It didn’t feel like a motel at all, more like a long-term apartment. Very unprofessional experience overall. I would not recommend this place.

Had a superior room. Great value for money. Roomy with nice linen and thick towels. Well stocked bathroom with a good pressure shower. Pillows were a little hard for me and a few coasters for glasses/cups would be handy. Quiet room and a handy location. Parking under cover.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. When we were booking this motel we booked 6 superior rooms at $648 per room per night through booking.com. Once we arrived the rooms we were met with were nothing like the photos. They were absolutely disgusting. Moldy, unclean, a bag of some substance, rubbish from previous guests, dirty face cloths still in the shower, the floor had a layer of dust, skin and god knows what else from not being vacuumed. This list could go on... We had gone on to booking.com once arriving and seeing the state of the rooms and noticed the usual price was around $131 per room per night. Silver fern lodge had hiked the price up by almost 500%! Once the receptionist was approached about this we were met with excuse after excuse. He claimed that they had put the price up to hold the room for another group because booking.com would not let him block out the night, This is a lie. He claimed the cleaner was 1 male that only worked part time. This is unacceptable. His attitude towards us was rude and obnoxious, he was not willing to work with us. Silver fern lodge scalps people out of pocket i would not recommend this company to anyone at all.

This place is a dump! Shared bathroom is filthy! Too scared to shower here. No jug in room to make coffee, shared kitchen reeked of curry and nearly as grubby as bathroom. Booked for 3 people, paid extra to have a second double bed only to get here and find there is one double and a set of bunks, when I spoke to reception about this the very rude receptionist told me that extra bed is only bunks not double! So why should I pay extra for double?? Definitely will not be staying again
