Fantastic place to stay. Staff were so very welcoming and accommodating. Our cabin was nice and the beds very comfortable. The property is quiet and peaceful, which was great to get away from all the noise of city life. Also, our son loved playing in the pool. We'll definitely be staying again when we're in the area.

What a fabulous place to spend a few days. We loved our cabin and the quiet location off the beaten track, with numerous walks to explore, or sit by the lake and watch wildlife. Also a great location to visit Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake, just a short drive away. We would highly recommend this location and hope to return sometime in the future. The owners are also wonderful people. We enjoyed our hike to the old silver mine, but did have a little trouble finding it as we missed the signage--must have been looking the other way and walked straight past the sign....

We stayed here for 5 nights in September/October 2024. Although the property and surroundings were lovely, it was let down by the unclean, smelly cabins. We had to go out and purchase our own cleaning and airfreshner products to clean the kitchen and try to rid the place of the awful BO smell that was imbedded in the curtains and bedding. The dish brush was caked with black greasiness and the tea towels were dirty. The sheets looked like they had been used for the last 40 years and didn't fit the beds properly. The cabins were overdue for a make over and in desperate need for new curtains and sheets and a professional cleaner and laundry service. It was such a shame as the environment surrounding the cabins was beautiful. It was a thrill to have breakfast outside each morning with the view of Mt Roland right in front of you. The grounds were nice to walk around and we even spotted a platypus. The indoor pool was clean and nice for swim. Fix up the cabins and get rid of the stench and it would be perfect!

Silver Lodge Retreat is the perfect escape to disconnect, recharge, and immerse yourself in nature’s quiet beauty. Right in front of our house stood the breathtaking Mountain Ronald, creating a stunning backdrop that made every moment feel magical. The night sky was perfect for stargazing, with a beautiful, star-filled view, though it was a bit too chilly to take photos. We loved the frequent encounters with local wildlife, spotting wallabies and kangaroos nearby! Conveniently, Sheffield town was just a short drive away, making it easy to pick up groceries and essentials. We stayed for two nights but could have easily stayed longer.||The lodge combines all the cozy comforts of a three-star experience with thoughtful touches that make it special. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, the recently renovated shower room was ideal, and the kitchen was well-equipped for simple meals. Silver Lodge stands out as one of the most memorable places I’ve stayed in the region. Our host, John, was warm and welcoming, sharing fascinating insights about the property. It’s rare to find a place that sparks your adventurous side while offering such a peaceful retreat. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing property which is peacefully quiet and the views are just wow. Our cabin had the comfiest bed and everything we needed for our stay. My daughter loved the pool and seeing the animals. Would recommend if you would like a laid back place to stay.

Stayed for a week and it was absolutely spectacular! Just beautiful to stay in, so peaceful and quiet, and with stunning Mt. Roland views just about anywhere. We saw the echidnas, possum, platypus, and all the farm animals. Then there were glow worms and the spiders in the cave - an amazing experience. This is an excellent place to stay for anybody enjoying the countryside. We will return. John was a very welcoming, friendly host!

What a tranquil place! Exactly as in the picture and so much more. John is a excellent host. We did a short walk to the caves which we thoroughly enjoyed for the adventure and mystery. The views all day long are so picturesque. The rooms are comfortable but the bedrooms can get very cold in the night.

This is the place to unplug, connect and find solace in nature's tranquillity and the pleasure of chance-encounters with wildlife is never far away. We stayed 2 nights and could have happily parked ourselves for longer. Loved it - cabins had all the comforts of a 3 star and then some. Beds were very comfy, recently renovated shower room was perfect, kitchen facilities were just right for a simple meal. This is up there as one of the best places I have stayed in Australia. John is a very welcoming host and provides a lot of interesting information about his property. Always nice to have your sense of adventure enticed when you're on holidays! Hope to return again.

Yelp
We stayed in one of the cabins for 3 nights. The staff were exceptionally friendly and took time to talk about a variety it activities available on site. We took advantage of the cave hike to see a few glow worms. We were excited to see a platypus in one of the ponds. What a great time. 5 adults were in our party.
