We stopped in at the Silver Star Cafe for brunch over the weekend. The restaurant had a cool atmosphere amongst remnants of old mining equipment, a tunnel, a few placards explaining the historical aspects of the area, and some hiking trails strewn throughout the area. We sat outside and enjoyed nice weather while we had the Silver Star Breakfast and Avocado Toast. Service was great, and we had no qualms with anything. The potatoes were great! We recommend giving this restaurant a shot.

We went here for a dinner with seven people and they seated us immediately with a great table and a great view. The service was amazing the waiter was very kind to us and we didn’t have much of a wait at all. The food was also amazing I got the meatballs and the seared scallops and the were both amazing with a very flavorful taste I would highly recommend the restaurant to all people!

Overall mid experience. We wanted to sit outside but couldn’t, even though there were high tops available (and not reserved). Very expensive for what you get. We were served warm beers. I had the mahi curry which was really bland. The elk burger was just okay. The mushroom stroganoff was also bland and had a sour taste (more than just a sour cream flavor). Disappointed after spending $400 for 5 people to eat (4 drinks, 5 entrees, and 1 app)

Update: We came back. They still have price fix menu which is nice with several of their main dishes and a special. From there we had the Scottish Salmon. We also had the Pork Osso Bucco and the Elk burger from the regular menu. The burger received a rave review from my son who eats a lot of burgers. The Pork was also excellent. The cilantro and cheese turned the creamed corn side from bland to excellent. We love cilantro. The salmon was very good as well. We tried the Proveleta as one of the appetizers. This was very good. It’s a lot of cheese and very shareable. This is a solid 4 star in my rating scale which is very recommendable. I wish I could give it 4.5. See my note below on that. Such a cozy spot for dinner. The food was good. We will come back for the atmosphere. We had the Elk skewers. They were a little tough. I haven’t had a lot of Elk but I read that it is not traditionally tough. We also had the fried Brussels. They were not fried like in a fryer. Seemed more pan fried. They were good but nothing exceptional. We didn’t think they were very spicy. But it was a nice and different take on Brussels. For mains the Lamb was good. Cooked medium rare which is great. I had the Duck which was cooked similarly and again was tasty. The sides on both plates were fine. The spaghetti squash was a nice touch with the Duck. Service was excellent. Met someone local that swears by this place. It’s small. Make a res. Very cozy interior for winter time. Nice wine selection. If you found this helpful follow me. I don’t give many 5* because I reserve that for the very best in food, service and experience. I try to be quick to the most important stuff, the food. Then add notes about the rest. Enjoy!

We went there after a Celebration of Life. We ordered an appetizer and each one of us had a salad. No dressing on the salad! Every one else ate the salad. I didn’t and took it home. So Much better with dressing! Guess we didn’t order enough 🙄

Google
Love this place! Food is great, staff is super helpful and the location is right across from the chair lift. My only issue is they close in the afternoon to set up for dinner - right when it would be awesome to have a beer and an appetizer. Otherwise two 👍 up.

Google
Outstanding food, excellent place to go to dinner! Outstanding! I highly recommend it. Make sure you make reservations!

Google
Great stop for quiet outdoor (or indoor with Rez) lunch with a view. Sexy, upscale menu options. Fast and helpful table service. Right at the bottom of the lift. This is not an express chair, however.

Yelp
I've had dinner and brunch here multiple times each. I highly recommend dinner, but have mixed feelings about brunch. For dinner, I always get their Pork Osso Bucco. It is phenomenal and I dream about it. I will always come back for this dish alone. For lunch, I've tried an eggs Benedict, avocado toast, and the Kentucky butter coffee cake. The eggs Benedict is pretty underwhelming and so was my boyfriend's traditional breakfast. The portions at breakfast were tiny and not up to the quality or creativity of dinner, but still expensive. The star of the show was the coffee cake-- definitely try that! Avocado toast tasted good but would have been less than enough food if I didn't add a poached egg. Service here is always quite good, though, and the ambiance is really nice. Depending on the day, you can catch pretty views. I also love that you can get there from the ski slopes and then take the silver star ski lift back up. I'd definitely recommend coming here for a try, especially regular lunch/dinner!

Yelp
Very cool atmosphere with the interior design and band playing at the entrance. Ordered their specialty Manhattan which ended up tasting like a normal Manhattan. The Fried Chicken had such a nice crunch to it, and very soft and tender inside. The Elk Burger tasted alright, but its consistency was a lot looser and mushier compared to what I was used to.

Yelp
After a little mid-day hike, our party of five arrived to silver star cafe... We knew that they were open until 2:45 and arrived for a late lunch just a few minutes after 2. There was a 20ish minute wait, which seemed reasonable, and then we were seated inside. (Side note: If you do arrive at 2:30 or later, you may be turned away. I did see at least one party turned away in this fashion). This cafe is charming and our service from Sammie was attentive. Food was high quality and we devoured our lunch. Our table had the Gyro with Chicken (this was my favorite), a Mountain Green salad, a pizza, and a Grilled Cheese with French Fries. Beverages at our table were Cream Soda, Arnold Palmer, and Lemonade. I did see real drinks being served to other tables and they looked great! Portions are a good size. Views are fabulous. I will definitely look forward to returning to this little hidden gem on future visits to Park City!

Yelp
Great on food and ambience. Biggest Prblm is you can rarely find a parking spot as most are reserved for businesses and condos and they have now closed off their lower parking level. Hopefully owners will lock onto this as their top and bttm lines retract substantially. If you want to Uber or take a bus, good place to eat esp during summer mos. Personally, they've lost my business.

Yelp
If you can't enjoy a meal here, there isn't much I can do to help you. Everything about this place screams chill...amazing Mountain View's, classic rock and fantastic food. Even though I have a very small sample size, I'm pretty confident the food is amazing across the board. I had a tough time deciding what to order, decided on the Green Chili Burger based on the fact that it is very hard to get good green chili dishes in the Midwest. No regrets about this decision.. It had a great beef blend don't remember the exact combo but I'm pretty sure brisket and short rib were in the mix. I was cooked to a perfect medium temp, topped with crispy onions, mustard and an amazing green chili salsa. The fries were clearly hand cut in house and absolutely delicious. The staff was great too. Attentive and inviting. No surprise Guy Fieri hit this place up on Triple D.

Yelp
Great ambiance outside, awesome view, and great service! Would eat here again. Location is super awesome near lifts.

Yelp
Is it possible for a 6th star? Silver Star continues to be one of our top 3 places to eat in Park City, which is saying something knowing the local competition! We always try to sit on the patio if possible with AMAZING views and laid back atmosphere outside! Please note that it is best to get a reservation especially during more peak tourist times. Second important note... If sitting outside, please dress for the weather as when that sun goes down behind the mountain it can get chilly real quick! If you come to Silver Star, MAKE 100% SURE someone in the party gets the Osso Bucco as it's one of our favorite things to eat anywhere! We always hear people compliment the server or manager on this dish, so just do it. Started with the Roasted Sherried Grapes and Burrata and was very good. The on to the Osso Bucco and it's our third time getting it as this is our 2nd trip to PC. It still continues to amaze me how good this dish is. We got a side of the Mac n Cheese to split which was also top notch but the star will always be the Osso Bucco. We will be back on our next trip to PC for certrain!

Yelp
Food was phenomenal!! The Mahi curry dish was quite outstanding. Son had the Elk steak fajitas and it was beautiful th delicious and creative! The Wild Mushroom dish was absolutely lovely. Service was top notch. While it is neither a Diner, Drive-In nor a Dive it certainly deserves the attention given by the DDD! Worth a visit next time you are in PC!
google avatar

Sarah K.

Yelp
The pizza was amazing!!! Ordered a French 75 and it was the perfect combination of gin and champagne which is hard to balance. We got 2 pizzas and split and couldn't decide which one was better. My fiancé suggests the Italian Meats however I suggest the Mushroom and Brie.

Yelp
Amazing views and delicious food! The service staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the Cuban Sandwich and Elk Burger. Get a side of bacon you won't regret it! Plenty of parking (off season) and you should check out the ski and bike rental store across the street at the lift. My wife and I are Park City locals and rank this place in our top favorites. Perfect place to bring out of town family and guests.

Yelp
Went to Silver Star Cafe for Sunday brunch and will not be returning - at least for breakfast. The food we ordered was terrible. We ordered the Banana Bread French Toast and couldn't finish the dish. Was surprisingly flavorless and had a strange, dense texture. We also ordered the Shrimp & Avocado Benedict. The shrimp was seemingly undercooked, the hollandaise sauce was thick and unappetizing and the polenta cake was an awkward combination and texture. The service was poor. We had to wait an extended time for the server to take the order, refresh the coffee, come back from her vape break to bring us the check, etc. They have a patio that is completely in the sun in the morning and the umbrellas were not placed strategically to manage the direct sunlight. It was uncomfortable and all-in-all a waste of a beautiful Sunday morning.

Yelp
So much fun! Food was delicious! Live music enhanced the evening. Wait staff were delightful. Great outdoor space. I will be back. FYI: someone in my party loved the live music so much he tipped them $100. Because they were that good. We all agreed with him.

Yelp
Mom and pop feel with great service! After a long day on the slopes and going to a sundance film, my friend and I just wanted somewhere cozy to grab a heart warming dinner. And this was the place to be! The restaurant was easy to find, parking was not difficult, right in front of the restaurant. Although I can see it becoming quite packed if during rush hour or on a busy day. We made a reservation so it was easy to get seats. After we sat down, our waitress was super welcoming and enthusiastic, I believe her name was Julia. She got us started on some delicious old fashioned drink modified with maple syrup. Then we started with the soup of the day and the turkey meatballs. The soup was super flavorful, fragrant, and deliciously light. The turkey meatballs could use more work, it was a bit dry, but the soup helped soften it up a bit eaten together. For the main dish, we split an apple and blue cheese salad followed by the mushroom stroganoff, which was super good, although the beef stroganoff was not cooked the "traditional" way that I am used to. The noodles were not the wide ones I'm used to, but take a look at my photo, and get a sense of the ingredients. Overall, great place for a late dinner after long day out, cozy ambiance, delicious food, and fantastic drinks!

Yelp
Had the wild mushroom stroganoff with added flank steak to it. This dish was featured on diners, drive-ins, and dives.. service was immaculate view of Park city was great. I highly recommend going to this place. Sorry, should've taken pictures of the dish.
google avatar

Yelp
Just a nice spot, open air, Mountain View's, live music, great food, service is good. Ate the sachutas if I spelled it correctly. Very heavy, good on a very cold day, but summer dish don't recommend.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
I came here as a recommendation from my local friend, I was expecting a good meal not just sandwich and pizza but I was told that those fish plate and stuff are on the dinner menu... 2 of my friends ordered smoked turkey club recommended by the server, I tasted it, it was good, but I'm not a sandwich person so I ordered chili verde, it's one of my favorite Mexican dish but this one was more like a small cup of soup with a few tortilla chips. It seems a bit over priced, $30 for a burger, $22 for my chili verde soup and also $22 for a sandwich... I won't go back there...
google avatar

Rob S.

Yelp
This is more a 3 1/2 and just for food at dinner. Service and view were lovely! But food was just OK. Had the pork osso buco, the mushroom stroganoff, trout and NY Steak. Steak was a bit fatty. Trout was fine as was the ossco buco, but nothing special given the price. Mushroom stroganoff flavor was just OK. Sort of wish some of their lunch items were on the dinner menu. Felt a bit limited.
google avatar

Naseem D.

Yelp
French fries were BOMB but i'm not sure I'd get the elk burger again. It was a little too gamey for my taste!
google avatar

Steve C.

Yelp
Great food in an intimate and interesting location and the yurt dining room is an unusual venue and I like unusual. The Osso Buco is the signature dish and it is wonderful. The wild mushroom stroganoff with shrimp (or chicken or steak) is so flavorful and delightful I really enjoyed it. Great wine selection and superior service. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Tara Lee C.

Yelp
Beautiful view outside and intimate setting inside. The food never disappoints and is comfortable for casual lunch and for a more upscale dinner occasion. Staff love working here and it shows. They are on top of their service game and quite accommodating. I have yet to try brunch here, I hear it's great!

Jane M.

Yelp
The venue is beautiful. Food was mediocre for the price. Service was okay but not at the level one would expect from this expensive of a restaurant.
google avatar

R M.

Yelp
Great place for fabulous views. Came after a hike with the dog, despite pricing you can show up in a casual outfit...I was dusty and in athletic attire. Ordered a Burger, it was too large and juicy to eat as a sandwich so I had to eat it with knife and fork - the components tasted good but i was disappointed that the burger squirted, the bun was too big and dense, and everything slid out. Fries were very sad - they were house made fresh from potatoes and thick cut but were undercooked so it tasted like a hard potato - not a fry. I ate the ends which were good so has they been prepared correctly, they would have been really good. Also, the fries were kinda dark which leads me to believe the oil hadn't been changed in while. Cocktails were delicious but very expensive so be prepared to drop 15-20$ per drink. Overall, I would come back now that i know what to expect - casual establishment with high-end bar menu and high prices ($25-30 for a burger or a individual pizza). Service was okay, not fine dining attention to detail but they're quick to turn over a table.
google avatar

Joe M.

Yelp
Started out very shaky with a server who knew nothing about cocktails. In particular the house spirits. As an example, thought Seagrams was the whiskey used for an old fashioned. Yikes! Drink service was painfully slow but things improved when apps and meals arrived. Portions were large and all four entrees were delicious. The roasted chicken was especially good as was the salmon.

Yelp
We were rolling in hot and hangry from a long flight into SLC and needed something to stave off our madness. We'd been to PC before but only knew of places along main street-honestly we wanted something different than that offered. My lady, faint from hunger, found SSC and it was close so we clicked go on WAZE and were guided through a golf course, a condo development, to the base of a ski lift and we found it. A late lunch crowd was wrapping up and we got in at the end of lunch rush. Great seats outside and good ones inside, we chose first available and were guided just inside the door. On the way in we noticed that none other than Guy Fieri from Triple D had checked out this joint. We knew it would be good and we were not disappointed. If you've never rolled into PC get ready for some sticker shock, burgers @ 20 bucks, that's the way in a mountain ski town so just plan on laying down some cash. I got the Rory's burger and my lady the Beet Salad with steak. Sure we were hungry and even something like a gas station burrito might have tasted good, but dang, we were blown away by our selections. So much so that we caught lunch again on our last day in town and ordered the same. It was equally as good the second time. You will need a bit of patience with the service-it was packed both times and large groups will make your order slower than normal-but buckle up and be gracious to the kids serving the tables. SSC is off the beaten path but it's well worth the effort to find it and judging from the crowds both times everyone else thinks so too. Guy from TripD can't be wrong, trust him, trust us, get there and get you some.
google avatar

Joanna M.

Yelp
You can't beat the view from this little cafe. The homemade sausage is tasty and the avocado toast is a great portion but definitely need to add that egg.
google avatar

Ana S.

Yelp
The views and patio seating are what makes this place. The food is very mediocre and somewhat bland. Our waitress was friendly and the food came out quickly, but it would be better to just come here for a drink and a small snack, not waste money on an entree.

Stephen P.

Yelp
How this place doesn't have a 4.5+ average blows my mind. The osso buko was FANTASTIC. Literally fall off the bone tender pork, corn salsa cheese mix was such a perfect pairing. This meal was all around fantastic. The fried Brussels were SO GOOD. Even the steak was good too. Cooked perfectly. The ambiance of the side room was actually really nice. The bathrooms are offsite so that's a little weird. Service was very good and informative. Kyle is a great waiter. Loved this place. Would highly recommend
google avatar

Matt A.

Yelp
The elk burger was not good at all. Staff were not the nicest except for our waitress. Bourbon selection very limited!! I don't think I'll be back.

Yelp
If you haven't been to this place, what are you wait for?!? I have been to several DDD establishments all over the US, but had never tried Silver Star Cafe (which is in my own backyard) until last week. And let me tell you, I've been missing out for years!! Hands down this is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The food was exceptional, Carla our server was beyond spectacular! Everyone in our group walked away having had one of the most amazing experiences all around. This was the first of many visits to come!
google avatar

Jill L.

Yelp
Went with 5 friends on Friday night...music on patio was lovely. We shared Mahi Mahi, mushroom stroganoff and fried chicken. All were delicious. Added bonus was full harvest moon coming up over the mountains. Service was attentive and kind.
google avatar

Alanna G.

Yelp
Overall a nice time with good food, but not outstanding. I chose this restaurant for both the food and sunset views, but learned that you have to specifically request the GOLF PATIO, not just patio, if you want to have a view. Otherwise you're sitting outside in like a promenade - so no views but ok. Our waitress was absolutely fantastic. The food was good but not amazing. A few things seemed a little under seasoned, starting with the corn chowder. I wouldn't get it again. The burrata with olives was very good. The olive oil with it was delicious! I had the mahi mahi which was very good, but again seemed under seasoned, and my husband had mushroom stroganoff (which is one of their specialties) with a piece of steak on it - delicious. Carrot cake for dessert was also delicious and toasted pecans on top were such a good touch. It's a cute place and worth trying again but I would have been happier sitting somewhere different. I did ask the hostess but she assured me it wasn't possible.

Courtney S.

Yelp
A very cute place to grab brunch. There's not much parking near the cafe and you have to go in to ask for a permit to park in the lot. But the food was delicious and the server was great. My group got the Kentucky Bourbon coffee cake, it was so delicious, I definitely recommend getting it.

Jaelee Watanabe ..

Yelp
Love their menu... attentive wait staff... and great views! While parking can be a challenge, worth it!!
google avatar

Bonnie G.

Yelp
Loved this spot! Came here on a crisp September night and sat outside with our dog Gerbert. You've gotta get the mahi mahi! Oh my gosh, totally the secretly amazing dish on the menu. It's this curry-coconut-jasmine rice comforting dish served in a massive bowl. It's so great on a cool night. The shrimp with polenta appetizer is so good too, and the stroganoff is just okay, but the mahi mahi is the best. 5 stars!!!!!

Martina L.

Yelp
We went there for a brunch on Sunday and we were very disappointed. Our waitress McKaela was very impersonal, she was like a robot. She has never made an eye contact with us. She asked very short question and she was looking up in the air instead of looking at us. She asked how our food was while walking by and she didn't even wait for an answer. She was like this with every table. It's very sad. It's a great restaurant but this experience is kind of ruining it.

Christine B.

Yelp
A fabulous surprise in PC. Excellent food, drinks, and service! Thrilled to have found this gem!
google avatar

Greg H.

Yelp
Great service and food! The wine selection paired with the menu was a pleasant surprise.
google avatar

George S.

Yelp
Excellent! Service was top notch. Drinks were good (not great , Hence 1 star short of 5 stars). Menu had an interesting take on things. I'd never had pork osso bucco but it was great! And the stroganoff was excellent too! They have a price fixe option that is helpful. I'd recommend this cozy, woody nook any time!
google avatar

Darla Z.

Yelp
We sat on the patio for brunch. The service and the food were great! The views, spectacular!!
google avatar

Francois R.

Yelp
Great location, nice views. Good for a nice burger. Service is nice. I was on the patio. It is shaded by a screen, but the screen could be thicker. A bit too much sun

Sarah P.

Yelp
We went here for the mushroom stroganoff and were disappointed. It didn't have much flavor. We normally don't add salt to dishes but had to for this dish. My boyfriend's green curry was also under seasoned but did taste better than the stroganoff. The carrot cake was okay, we like that it didn't taste overly sweet. Our favorite dish was the brussel sprouts, if it wasn't for that dish we would've given the restaurant 3 stars. Overall service was great! Don't think we'll be coming back in the future.
google avatar

Aubs F.

Yelp
Best brunch we've had in Park City! Cozy, cute little cafe tucked up in the park city ski areas. Directly at the bottom of the Silver Star Ski lift. Absolutely recommend their brunch! The brunch cocktails were equally as delicious and the service was great. Overall a great experience and can't wait to bring the rest of the family!

Brittany D.

Yelp
We Ate lunch after hiking the Armstrong Spiro loop trail. Great atmosphere and food after a hike!

Yelp
TripleD #101 Silver Star Cafe in Park City, UT VERY GOOD BURGER...The Rory Special We got in three minutes before the kitchen closed and them being closed for a month...it was worth the stop!! The burger was blend of chuck, short rib and hangar steak then smashed- seared, topped with Cheddar cheese, and applewood-smoked bacon...mmmmm Charlie, our server was very gracious!!
google avatar

David H.

Yelp
My wife and I are evaluating and recording our views on the dining options in PC for future reference. We had dinner at Silver Star. We liked it, but slightly preferred our other dinners (High West, Firewood) on this trip - hence the 3 stars. I would definitely return if I was in or near Silver Star (E.g., a lunch break from skiing). The service was very good (5 stars). The ambience is good but they crammed us into a table near the door; they probably shouldn't have a table in that spot. She liked her food (mushrooms stroganoff); I thought the mahi mahi in curry sauce was ok but definitely not great. So overall - 3 stars - in a forced distribution.
google avatar

Garrett C.

Yelp
Went to Park City with a friend, found this spot and couldn't be happier with it. The food was outstanding, the staff was very attentive, the folk band they had sounded great. Drinks were top notch. Also shoutout to the manager Cory for checking in with us multiple times to make sure our experience was great. Can't recommend this place enough
google avatar

Patrick H.

Yelp
It's always fun to go out of town and try different restaurants. Silver Star was recommended by a local and didn't disappoint. We were hoping for a table overlooking the golf course on the patio but got one with the same view inside. All of the menu items on the menu looked good and we went with the beet salad and the pork osso buco. The salad was a nice start but the osso buco was absolutely delicious with the coconut creamed corn. The service was very friendly and I'm looking forward to dining here again my next time in Park City.

Kia M.

Yelp
Food was delicious, service was great. Ambiance was cool. I love the dinning experience.

Shirish L.

Yelp
Food is good here. Get the Halloumi Sandwich it is the best thing they have. Their brunch is really good. Dinner is not great if you have dietary restrictions (vegan or vegetarian) but lunch and brunch are always good here.
