Mom and pop feel with great service!
After a long day on the slopes and going to a sundance film, my friend and I just wanted somewhere cozy to grab a heart warming dinner. And this was the place to be!
The restaurant was easy to find, parking was not difficult, right in front of the restaurant. Although I can see it becoming quite packed if during rush hour or on a busy day. We made a reservation so it was easy to get seats.
After we sat down, our waitress was super welcoming and enthusiastic, I believe her name was Julia. She got us started on some delicious old fashioned drink modified with maple syrup. Then we started with the soup of the day and the turkey meatballs. The soup was super flavorful, fragrant, and deliciously light. The turkey meatballs could use more work, it was a bit dry, but the soup helped soften it up a bit eaten together.
For the main dish, we split an apple and blue cheese salad followed by the mushroom stroganoff, which was super good, although the beef stroganoff was not cooked the "traditional" way that I am used to. The noodles were not the wide ones I'm used to, but take a look at my photo, and get a sense of the ingredients.
Overall, great place for a late dinner after long day out, cozy ambiance, delicious food, and fantastic drinks!
