If I could give half stars, this one would be a 2.5 rather than a 3. We were here for a soccer event. The day before the event, we were informed of a 30% increase in the daily parking fees. I'm not sure if this was a product of a public entity or the event, but it certainly changed our approach to the location. The fields were not of a quality we've grown accustomed to across the country. They varied in size, quality, and type. Not all the grass fields are the same L x W, and they varied greatly from the turf fields in the same facility. We were there during rain, and several of the fields became unplayable, quickly. Of the ones that were playable, many had holes/low spots filled with sand that proved to be dangerous during games. Even the turf fields didn't feel properly maintained. There were areas where they either placed too many pellets, or they were too worn down to contain them. This, again, wasn't ideal in the rain, and made those areas slick when wet. Overall, these fields are better than your local park, but not what a club soccer team would grow accustomed to playing on if traveling multiple times a year. The field house at the center of the complex is nicer than some places. But we weren't there to sit and eat. And the facities themselves did not seem inviting enough to make us want to hang around. If they balanced the number of grass and turf fields and cut out a field or two to make sure the sizes were uniform, the overall quality might increase. And it might give them enough room for parents to sit without being in a ditch or sharing a 10' wide strip between 2 fields with parents from another field. When you have teams traveling across the entire country to play in a facility, one would expect it to be of a very high quality. It was not.
