The 40 Best Resorts in the Caribbean: 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards

"Few places capture the Spice Isle’s understated magic like the Silversands Grenada resort, situated at the sleepy end of the two-mile Grand Anse Beach. Enter its perimeter and the hubbub of local street life suddenly feels like a vague memory. What catches your eye first is the breathtaking 330-foot infinity pool—said to be the longest in the Caribbean—which begins at the hotel's entrance and stretches all the way to the sea. You can while away your day beside it or gaze at the crystal water from the white-sand beach. Have the legendary rum punch and a lobster roll, or feast at Asiatique, where dishes like crisply fried lobster in red coconut curry and dark-molasses ginger cake are assembled with fresh local ingredients, including a smattering of Grenadian spices. Make sure you catch one of the planet's most mesmerizing sunsets, a sight so sublime it alone would justify a stay. Night after night, a sky filled with wispy clouds turns from fiery red to pink, then purple—an incredible show, even better for being nature's very own." - CNT Editors

"Why we love it: A stylish stay that brings contemporary luxury to island life The Highlights: - A minimal design that highlights the stunning natural scenery - The longest pool in the Caribbean - A lavish spa equipped with a hammam The Review: When Silversands Grenada opened its doors in 2008, it was a game-changer for the island. A member of Leading Hotels of the World, the oceanfront property offers an unmatched level of luxury, which starts as soon as you’re picked up from the airport in the house Tesla. Once on site, sleek design and clean lines let the ocean be the focus, though superior rooms, the longest pool in the Caribbean, two restaurants, and a rum and cigar bar also deserve attention. There’s even an incredible spa with a hammam, experiential shower, and ice room; a state-of-the-art fitness center; and a heated pool shaded by slatted wood and decorated with Foscarini ceiling lights hanging overhead. Still, you could be perfectly happy just staying in your room. The 43 suites—some of which are among the largest accommodations on Grenada—all feature outdoor space as well as king-size beds surrounded by remote-controlled curtains for a touch of romance. A white, teak, and neutral-toned palette creates a bright, airy feel, while light-filled bathrooms include a double vanity, soaking tub, and rain shower. For even more luxury, opt for one of the nine villas, each of which comes with three or four bedrooms, plus a private pool."

I was really impressed with Silversands — it’s an amazing hotel and incredibly accommodating. Yes, it’s on the expensive side, but I decided to treat myself to an overnight stay and make the most of the facilities. My booking included breakfast, but since I’d be leaving early the next morning, I asked if I could have breakfast on the day I arrived instead. The staff happily agreed. I also arrived well before the standard 3 PM check-in, and to my delight, they allowed me to check in before 11 AM. That was such a wonderful start to my stay. The hotel itself is modern, stylish, and offers breathtaking views. Spending the night there truly made me feel like a celebrity. While there was some minor wear — a damaged front panel outside the door and a few scratches on the floor — everything else was perfect. The staff were polite, professional, and eager to help, delivering a genuine 5-star experience. I could go into detail about my beautiful room and the view from the 100m infinity pool that seems to melt into the beach, but I don’t want to spoil the surprises that this wonderful hotel has to offer. Breakfast was also excellent — fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented.

We just returned from a week at this resort, and it was by far the best resort experience I’ve had in Grenada. Based on previous experiences at other resorts on the island, I was worried about rude staff ruining my stay, But ALL the team members I’ve encountered at Silversands were warm, friendly, attentive and engaging. We were celebrating our anniversary, and our awesome experience began BEFORE we arrived. The reservation process was seamless, and when we arrived, there were a bottle of champagne and chocolate in our room. What a nice touch!! Also, the resort is quite beautiful! The room was large, airy and sun-filled, with a view of the beach. The bathroom is large, and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. Can’t wait to return! The only negative is the food and drinks…which were expensive for their quality and quantity. There are better options within walking distance of the resort. Nevertheless, Silversands gets a 5 star because in a nutshell, it is an exceptional resort.

Went for our 5 year anniversary. From the minute we arrived at the airport to the minute we left the service was impeccable. Room service came 2-3 per day to replace towels, toiletries, and make bed. Pool staff immediately brought out coolers of water and towels when we sat down without hesitation. Restaurant staff greeted us right away and were lovely — kind, attentive, and extremely friendly. Chefs made amazing food at both Grand Anse and Beach house. Our last night we did a private beach dinner, and they set up a beautiful dinner table with 5 year anniversary spelled out in rocks surrounded my tiki torches. Dennis hosted us to a cocktail hour on our second night and was super friendly. Highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting. So much love from the amazing staff here the entire time. Wish we could stay for 4 weeks instead of 4 days.

My wife and I stayed at this resort last month and had an amazing stay. The location on a top notch beach is superb. In addition to swimming we took many walks along the beach, and there is a local crafts/food market along the beach a short distance away. One of the more beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. My wife had a spa treatment which she thoroughly enjoyed, is a gorgeous spa. The pool is incredible, we were told it is the longest infinity pool in the Caribbean. Every other facet of the experience was wonderful; the size, cleanliness and amenities in the room, the attentiveness of the staff,,, just a wonderful experience

The experience at SilverSands Beach House was wonderful. The luxurious grounds modern and spacious rooms provided a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Everything is designed with the natural environment in mind, the landscaping is stunning. The warm and welcoming staff made the stay even more enjoyable. Having a car made exploring the island easier, but the grounds with their beautiful views, restaurants, and pool are sufficient for a complete island experience. My only suggestion is that they offer more grab-and-go dining options though out the day that are representative of the local cuisine. That said, this is the perfect place to visit Grenada. Don’t hesitate book now!!

The perfect resort! |Sliversands Beach House is an exceptional resort.|It's beautifully designed and very clean. |The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a seamless experience throughout your entire stay. |Upon our arrival, Dillon, our driver, was waiting for us. He was courteous, and his car was comfortable and well-polished. He took care of our luggage straight up to our room. This was welcomed after traveling with children.|The assistant manager, Clarista is an absolute gem. She greeted us when we arrived with lovely gifts for the children and fresh drinks for us all. She sets a high standard for all the staff, who are all so kind. Any request we had, she was prompt to see to it right away.|The housekeeping staff was great. Makeeda and Jemy kept our rooms clean and very tidy. |The hotel has only one restaurant, but don't let that discourage you because it's fantastic. Every dish we had at Azzurro was delicious. We are from New York City, so we are no strangers to good Italian food. My biggest fear when traveling is: will the food be ok for my children? I'm happy to say they ate everything.|Our servers at the restaurant, Reanna and Rozanna, were just great. They set a high standard with their politeness. My children now respond to each other with phrases like: certainly and my pleasure! |The staff at the beach/ pool also have the same positive energy. |Keyon and Riyon are fantastic. |Riyon, the hotel lifeguard, was nice to set up a kayaking event for our family. |We met so many other helpful staff at this hotel. Everyone at the front of house was so nice to us. |The most important thing about this hotel is the genuine feeling you get from everyone. |It made relaxing so easy and comforting. This is a great place for families. I highly recommend this hotel for your next trip!!

Thank you Silversands Beach House for an amazing vacation and celebration! The experience was one of one, true luxury and exclusivity. It offered the relaxing environment we needed to decompress, as well as close proximity to activities and excursions for vibes and adventures. The staff was welcoming and made us feel like the only guests here. The property is built to allow you to experience the true beauty of it's location in nature, and access to the larger pool and beach at the main resort was perfect for when we needed a little more action. We'll definitely be back!
