Very cool store. Not like the other bland gift shops that all sell the exact same thing. This one was unique in every way. Definitely one of my favorite gift shops ever

5/24/23 We visited Silverton and happened into the train art store and were very delighted to find all kinds of things. They had a great selection of metal sign art as well as train and airplane memorabilia. The store owner was very friendly and my wife bought his book also. I bought a large SE5 prop that’s hanging over my TV by my RC plane Room. Thanks again. We revisited Silverton on 5/24/24 and had to visit the train art store. We needed. The gauges to complete our SE5 prop it’s now complete and looks great. Thank you again.

I found the store owner to be rude. Made the shopping experience unpleasant.

In 2001 rode the train and finally again in 2022 rode with my three kids. The Train Store created these awesome pictures to remember the ride. 2001 picture is of 481 & 478 and the 2022 picture is of 480 & 473

Perfect spot to get your memento from your train ride to town. Lots of new and old pieces, pins, hats and art

The older gentleman behind the counter was making disgusting comments towards my daughter, and seemed to have a couple screws loose.. Completely unprofessional!

My granddaughter and I were there visiting Silverton this past weekend. We happened to walk in the store just to browse. Picked up a conductor rubber ducky for the four-year-old grandson. We started talking to the owner who was a very nice elderly gentleman.. He had started telling us about the previous owner a lady who Had passed, and had fallen in love with one of the train conductors. After he purchased the store he found her notes about her experiences. He wrote a book called train story diary. I had to purchase it. I have not yet had a moment to read it But I am really looking forward to it. He wrote it based on the journal he had found. He allowed my granddaughter to look at the journal Is she loved the little few Passages she had time to read. He also signed the inside of the cover for me. Thank you Mr. Boeder!

Great place to acquire memorabilia, wall art, and other various goods representing your favorite railroad! Huge supply of items, I'll gladly come shop here again on our next visit to Silverton!

Yelp
As a train enthusiast, I really like this store. It has an excellent collection of framed and matted (as well as not) railroad art and photographs at reasonable prices as well as pins, book and other railroad related items. I've always found the owner to be friendly and helpful. If you are into trains, you must stop here on any visit to Silverton.

Yelp
Very rude and didn't seem to care at all about history of trains. Everyone in this town has been excellent but we watched the guy behind the counter kick a kid out for looking at a book. I Instantly walked out because I will not let people treat people like that

Yelp
This is the cutest store for train enthusiasts with the nicest owner! We got our daughter a train whistle and my brother a unique lapel pin. Prices were very good. Had a lot of cool art and books as well. Definitely a cute store to stop in and check out!!

Yelp
I was at this store in Silverton, Colorado this afternoon with several members of my family. We were walking around the downtown area with our dog, as were many people. We went in the train store with them as there were not any signs disallowing them inside. Once inside, another couple came in with their dog. The man working said to them, in a rude manner, most people ask before bringing their dog inside. I overheard the comment. We decided to leave , as did the other couple. He said to my nephew as we exited the store "Don't let the door hit you in the ass." If he had a problem with dogs, it should have been addressed as we entered. Very rude and unprofessional.

Yelp
The man who works there is extremely rude. One would think with business slow due to the train not running, he would appreciate customers. Definitely not the case. He is a very sad and poor representation of such a great little town.

Yelp
Great selection of train items - perfect for "foamers" (train enthusiasts) - artwork, pins, patches, etc.
