The cafe has a lot of great indoor and outdoor spaces for hanging out. Amazing food and their own cookbook you can purchase (we've tried the tomato soup and Danish apple cake so far, both lovely). The staff was very young and busy with training another new young member; friendly but busy staying above water. Big recommend.

We had a nice sweet potato and carrot soup (as the soup of the day) and a lovely waffle with great jam for dessert.

Atmosphere of this cafe was so cozy and warm! We had the best waffle with rhubarb jam here. Soup was a little bit too salty tho. I loved the art works on walls, retro furniture and crafty souvenyrs as illustrated postcards, cookbook or canvas bags and T-shirts. We took cinnamon roll on the way, it was a little bit too sweet and dry. But overall I would come back for sure!

A cozy café, known for great coffee, homemade treats, and vintage charm—perfect for a scenic stop in the Westfjords.

Cute café with excellent cakes and waffles. Atmosphere was lacking, it was very chaotic and neither staff or owner was friendly or welcoming. They just seemed very stressed. There was a mistake with our order, no one apologized and my kids had to wait extra long, leading to some crying and just no charm to the visit due to that and the stressful and chaotic atmosphere. I must compliment the banana cake I had though, one of the best cakes I’ve had.

Cozy and friendly coffeehouse located in Pingeyri Iceland in the Westfjords. This was a planed stop because of all their reviews that we read. We enjoyed a warm soup before our hike. Such a relaxing atmosphere. It is an old grocery store from 1915, which we restored and converted into a coffeehouse by the current owners who bought it in 2005. They renovated the whole house but kept most of the original interior. We took a walk to the back of the restaurant to where they had outdoor seating so we could take a look at a bus that they had for extra seating when this place gets crowded. We thought that was really cool! They are only open from June 1st to September 1st

So cute. Great waffles. Hot chocolate was great (but FYI less sweet than what you get in the US). Inside was adorable but wish we ate out in the bus out back. Love!

Simbahöllin was the coziest and nicest café we found so far on our trip in Iceland. I highly recommend a visit. The coffee and carrot cake was delicious, they even have vegan options! The staff was nice and helpful. I highly recommend a visit 😊. And if you love riding horses, check out their guided horseback riding tours for both beginners and experienced riders.
