Simona’s Bakery absolutely nailed the vision for my bridal shower cake! I had asked for a textured design adorned with fresh flowers to complement my wildflower-themed shower—and what they delivered completely exceeded my expectations. The cake was not only stunning (truly a showstopper!) but also absolutely delicious. Every guest commented on how beautiful it looked and how amazing it tasted. It was the perfect centerpiece for the celebration and tied the whole event together. Simona’s Bakery was also so easy to work with—professional, thoughtful, and passionate. I’m so grateful for their talent and care. Highly, highly recommend them for any special occasion!

Great bakery with a wide selection of traditional treats. While their pricing is a bit on the higher side, it’s comparable to other bakeries in the area. I picked up a few cupcakes, some mini éclairs, and cookies. The flavors were nice, but the chocolate on the éclairs was unexpectedly hard when we bit into them—not something I’m used to. It might just be their style, or perhaps we caught them on an off day. Overall, I’d give them a second shot

You're in for a real treat! Local, family owned. Last of the "old skool" type bakeries we used to have around NJ. Biscotti, sugar cookies, cakes...the works!! (Pro tip: Get the Saint Joseph cake if it's in stock!)

Great bakery where just about everything is delicious. They have a big selection of cakes, cookies, pastries…I didn’t notice breads, but I wasn’t looking for them. The tender, flavorful butter cookies are truly excellent, and the sandwich style ones have high quality fillings such as punchy jams and potent creamy chocolate. We also got Peanut butter chocolate brownies for our friends and they were a hit as a gift! When you walk into the store you’re hit with an aromatic wall of butter and sugar in the air, and greeted by a very helpful staff. Go!!! It’s so worth it.

We ordered a cake from Simona’s for my mother’s 60th birthday celebration, and it was absolutely perfect! The team created a gorgeous cake that matched our party theme beautifully. They worked with me every step of the way to choose the decorations and flavors - and with so many delicious combinations to pick from, it was hard to choose just one! The cake didn’t just look amazing, it tasted incredible too. Everyone at the party, especially the birthday girl, raved about it. Several guests even asked where we got it from - I was happy to spread the word about Simona’s! Friendly service, helpful staff, and truly delicious cake. I hope more people discover this gem and order from them in the future. Highly recommend!

A nice bakery with an array of cupcakes, donuts, cookies and other pastries. Had about 12 different cupcakes and most of them are fairly good, although at $6 each they should be great. Favorites include key lime and red velvet. The donuts are usually excellent, but the last time I had them, the jelly was overly thick. A good bakery, albeit a bit expensive.

This is now the 3rd time I’ve enjoyed a cupcake from Simona’s mini cupcake assortment when someone brought them to the function, and they’re just so good. I’ve never seen another place put 1-2 fillings into a MINI cupcake, and they are still moist/fresh even 2 days later! Just the best— definitely try the sampler if you can’t decide on which flavors to take to an event… it’s always a conversation starter and it has a nice selection of classics/fun flavors. Every product from Simona‘s is outstanding, from the cookies to the biscotti’s to the cakes! The peanut butter brownies are to die for! Super friendly and helpful staff as well. I ordered a custom fondant cake for a special occasion and it was perfection.

Simona's bakery has a great selection of cookies and other desserts. I really enjoy their large selection of biscotti's and different flavors as well as they have two different types of rainbow cookies, one with a apricot jelly and one with what I think is a traditional raspberry jelly. They also have a selection of butter cookies which are really great if you're bringing a box of something somewhere. The last time I came in I tend to be indecisive with so many selections and the woman behind the counter was very kind and patient with me waffling on what I wanted to get and how much of it I wanted to get. She even happily wrapped up the box because I was bringing it over to my sister's house. The shop is small but it does have a lot of items and to be honest if it was much bigger, I don't know if it would change much outside of having space for people to sit down which seems outside their business model. This seems like a great place place to stop if you were going to someone's house and needed to take a box of something or if it was the holidays and you wanted to get some desserts to bring. There is also the occasional self-indulgence and I really enjoyed the rainbow cookies.

My top go to purchase here is either the jelly donuts or a raspberry crisp pastry. Their raspberry jelly is incredible. My husband went today to get us a treat and I was so disappointed. He got us cupcakes one with raspberry filling and coconut flakes on top of buttercream. I thought ok cool I get the raspberry anyway. I got a hint of raspberry and a ton of funky tasting buttercream. It was not good at all. Will definitely not be getting this again. Aside from that it's asking about service which I must say is always great. Ambiance is what you would expect for a bakery.

A little pricey but worth it. They have something to satisfy any sweet tooth - and I'm addicted to the filled cupcakes. This time I got a caramel hostess and a fluffer nutter. I also had to get a few cookies and seeded rolls for the house. I'm a sucker for a good bakery and Simonas has me hooked.

Gotta be the best bakery around town. The food is high quality. The service is good. If the girls don't know an answer, they'll go to the bank and ask someone who does know. Only major downside is that, because it's so popular, during certain times, the line might be so long that you have to wait outside because the bakery itself is not very large. Parking also is difficult, however, especially given its location on 35.

Brownies are excellent. Cupcakes look great; however, icing tastes fake. The website states you can order via e-mail, but it is not true.

Simona's cakes are priced fairly and taste amazing. My daughter only wanted yellow cake, chocolate mousse filling with buttercream topping. The taste was great and the design was fabulous. Easy to work with and I can't recommend enough.

I would give this bakery a hundred stars if I could. They made the absolutely most gorgeous cake for my Grandson's first birthday. Almost everyone at the party commented on how beautifully decorated it was and asked where I got it. The cake itself was moist and the icing was was perfect. Also, the staff was kind and helpful. This was DELICIOUS!! People said the best cake they ever ate! It's 3 layered cake chocolate & vanilla with chocolate pudding and cannoli fillings, fresh whipped cream frosting. So fresh, creamy, moist and flavorful! They asked me to e-mail them a picture of ideas I had for decorating the flowers off to one side. So they had a visual to go by when decorating. Best Birthday gift to myself!!

Best special occaision cakes around! Peanut butter brownies are to die for and best cheese cake around. Enjoy!

Terrible cake that was very expensive. 60 dollars for a small carrot cake!!! The cream cheese frosting was awful. If you're gonna charge that much for a cake at least use butter in the frosting. I'm sorry every time i go here..i hope it will be better but it never gets better. Will not return.

Stop advertising as seen on tv on ur sign because the pastries taste terrible. They were overly sweet and had no buttery flavor to them. The cookies were falling apart with dryness. Totally gross

Simona's Bakery is one of those places that you can drive by 10 times without noticing but once you go in you are glad you did. They have all sorts of items here. The cupcakes stand out as a go-to item here. They are massive too so be ready to eat. I didn't find them to be too great but I liked the dunkaroo one. They were a little too sweet for me. The chocolate chip cookies were pretty good. The apple turnovers are what I would order next time I go in. They also have chocolates and all sorts of things. The chocolate graham crackers were lovely too. The cakes didn't look great so I stuck with the cupcakes and other snacks. I like this place and would come back. Looking forward to trying something else next time!

Everything is so yummy and fresh! They have a ton of options when it comes to cupcakes, cookies, bread and pastries. Come early in the morning for donuts!

Drove past here on my lunch break and saw the sign mentioning the bakery was featured on tv. Perhaps curiosity or was lured by the gimmicky claim, but either way, it drew me in. The treats in the cases seemed to have a lot of condensation on the icing which led me to think there was likely just as much moisture on the treats themselves. This led me to look only at what was in the refrigerated section. I was drawn to the macarons; I'm a sucker for fun flavors and great presentation. Unfortunately, a decent number of types had no label, and the employees didn't know the flavors either. Each macaron is $1.99 and there's no discount for buying more. In fact, buying 6 ends up being more ($11.99 vs $11.94 if they charged per macaron). Perhaps for the box? I tried not to let the concept bother me too much bc they're cheaper than anything you'll ever buy in/near the city. I also made a game-time decision to add an amaretti cookie. They unfortunately don't have plain ones, so I got the one topped w sugar crystals as the most plain one I could find. I will say that the cookie and macarons were very tasty and for the most part had the proper texture (one macaron was incredibly dry). Despite the yummy treats, the reasons I'm leaving 3 Stars are the deterrence from the majority of food bc of the moisture issue, employees that didn't know their product, pricing that didn't quite make sense, and also when my food was wrapped, the girl clearly had some sort of chocolate all over her fingers bc my box was covered in her chocolate fingerprints. I know that it's a bakery... but I would hope that when handling a customer's food, one would do it w cleaner hands than that.. still nice to have tried it out though. If only everything else could match the taste, it would be top notch!

SIM-OH NO! Overpriced. Stale/refrigerator tasting `checkerboard cake` wedge, flavorless/stale crumb cake products and cupcakes at $6 ea should be stunning. This is a trainwreck and either a front or has a fill in baker. Only went b/c heard they were somewhat related to one of our faves Delpontes in Brad Bch. What a dissapointment. Do not even want to think about trying this trainwreck again. I suspect it won`t last long. Don`t get me started on the sign that says `as featured on food network`..One unknown person on Food Network praised 1 item a few yrs back and you are going to try to scam the public your stuff is good? total rip and total fail...

If you haven't tasted Heaven... you will after trying any one of Simona's unbelievable French cream filled desserts. All their baked goods are made fresh daily, and the variety is incredible; from amazing cannoli's to cookies and cakes which are made to order. I ordered a vanilla and chocolate layered cake, filled with French cream, cannoli filling and a layer of fresh berries: strawberries, blueberries, raspberries. Unbelievable!!!

Visited this place on our way to a friends dinner party. We were happy to find they were open because bakeries usually close early. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directing us to the goodies they had. I noticed a tip bottle & it had a list of very impressive schools! Kudos to them! Definitely happy to tip & support them. Great idea to list their amazing accomplishments! Store was very clean and had a lot of options. We wound up buying something for the party (a crumb cheese danish ring) that was a hit and absolutely delicious. We also wound up buying goodies for ourselves. My husband bought a coconut cream cupcake, my daughter and youngest son went with a variety of cookies, my middle guy what was the brownie and we both got about six macaroons. I thought the prices were very fair and that we walked out with a lot of great things to try and everything was very good. My middle guy actually asked when we are going back to try other things. Next time we are in the area!

Delightful pastries and wonderful staff. I went here to try a little bit of this and that. Was definitely satisfied and will be returning.

Stay away! Overcharge and UNDER DELIVER! Spent 30.00 on 1 lb of rainbow cookies and two black and white cookies. Rainbows were ok but black and white were dry as the Sahara desert! I dont mind paying a premium price but the product needs to represent the price and it DID NOT. Worst was I stopped back in to let them know and they just brushed me off! Would never go back and advise the same to others.

Please update your hours. Store is not open til 8 PM week nights. Found out the hard way at 7 PM last night

I had a great experience. I went in to the bakery to inquire about ordering a custom cake. The girls were very knowledgeable and helpful. The cake came out better than I had imagined and tasted amazing. So moist and delicious. Everyone was raving about it and saying how pretty it was! We also got a cookie tray and that was amazing as well! Thank you!

WOW! I'm so impressed with Simona's Bakery! They have the largest selection of cupcakes I've ever seen at any bakery ever! There must be like around 40 different kinds of cupcakes! They should put them in order chocolates together, pumpkins together, vanillas together, and so on. Another good idea is to have a menu of them to go available so when you go in you can request the ones you want instead of trying to read them all and wasting 40 minutes trying to figure out what ones you are going to buy. I've had the pumpkin cheesecake crumb cake from here, and it's FANTASTIC! Unfortunately, it's so good it sells out fast! I wanted to buy some more today, but they were already gone. You have buy yourself one, and thank me later! I've had the brownie cupcake, red velvet cupcake, pumpkin apple caramel cupcake, and the pumpkin cookie dough cupcake from here so far. All DELICIOUS! Simona makes the BEST pumpkin and red velvet cake I've had from a NJ bakery! I know pumpkin is seasonal, but it's so exceptional here I'd buy it all year round! The chocolate cakes I've found to be ok/good. The red velvet cupcake was also a TOP cupcake! It was OUTSTANDING that I highly recommend purchasing the red velvet cake here. I know I'll definitely be purchasing myself one. I also love how each cupcake is generously filled, and you can tell it's all high quality ingredients. The apple filling to the pumpkin apple caramel cupcake was amazing! I also purchased a chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream, and the peanut butter buttercream was delicious! At first I thought the cake wasn't that moist, but it was only because I cut myself a slice just after it came out of a refrigerated case. Once it reached room temperature after two hours it was very moist. They also have lots of beautiful cakes here for sale too. Another item I tried was the peanut butter brownie. The peanut butter layer was nice and creamy, but the brownie itself I found to be just ok. I like mine more chewy and fudge like. I'll give it another shot the next time I go. This bakery has a huge selection of desserts, and I've just only begun sampling everything. You can check Simona's bakery on instagram for more pictures. Customer service is outstanding! I ordered pies from San Diego for Thanksgiving for my Mom in Wall. She was so happy with the quality and especially loved the dinner rolls! The woman who took my order was super accomodating and friendly even though I could tell it was extremely busy and the phone was ringing off the hook. We will definitely do this again. Thanks so much for making my Mom's Thanksgiving Dinner so much easier!

I am beyond disappointed with my donuts this time around. Look at the thimble sized amount of Bavarian Cream in my Boston Creams compared to the jelly in the Jelly Donuts (in photos posted). I have been coming here for years and would consider myself a semi regular. Definitely going to try and send these photos over to the owner/management to let them know their staff are really slacking.

I went to Simona's Bakery in Sea Girt for a custom cake request for my sister's engagement party. I pass by them a lot and had purchased a few smaller things from them in the past. Long story short they created an incredible and stunning custom cake for me and if you are interested I suggest you proceed with working with them. The cake was stunning, delicious and affordable. Now for the detailed story - I reached out to them via email two weeks in advance letting them know what I was looking for in a custom cake. They were extremely prompt and emailed me back right away. They set up a time with me to come in and go over what I would like in person (I really appreciated this as it gave me more confidence in being able to talk through what I would like versus conducting it over email or phone). When I showed up at the shop the three women on site were incredibly sweet and informative. Two of them assisted me with my cake order. The third assisted me in picking out some sweets to bring home that day! They were extremely knowledgeable and gave great insight on what I may need. I showed them a few photos of cakes I liked and what I liked from each cake design. I asked if they could merge it into one cake. They had no problem with my detailed requests. I was kind of nervous as I am very particular in what I want, but the end results were amazing! I picked the cake up day of and the staff was great during pick up. My sister was so surprised and all of her guest's couldn't stop taking photos of it (some attached). They also wouldn't stop talking about how delicious it was (equally as important). Extra notes, the cost was very affordable especially for the quality of work! I plan on using them for all of my future cake needs. I am honestly in shock over how incredible my experience was with Simona and I would suggest working with them for your cake requests.

I decided to check this place out while in the area, based on some happy yelp reviews (thanks guys). This place had a huge selection of cupcakes, cookies, biscotti, you name it. My eyes caught the rainbow cookies so I snagged some of those. We also ordered a cannoli cupcake. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The cupcake was super moist and the cannoli cream was perfect. The rainbow cookies are cut big, moist, and very yummy. On my next visit to the area, I'd definitely come back! I look forward to trying the other cupcake and cookie selections. Staff was nice! That's always super important to me. Quality of food is a good thing to have, but if customer service is lacking I'd usually skip out. Try the rainbow cookies if you're a fan!! You will not be disappointed, I promise! :)

I am friends with multiple people who have worked for this company. Nothing but negative experiences. Poor communication and overall not great ownership. Across the board nothing is ever fresh!

If your going to sell me a week old stale cup cake you should at least sell it for half price

I absolutely love this bakery! It's unassuming and set back slightly so it's pretty easy to miss. I first visited Simona's about a year ago. I was defiantly not expecting such a large selection of the freshest Italian cookies, pasties, whole cakes, cake slices (giant slabs), large cupcakes, breads, donuts. Oh, and then turn around and the front windows are jam packed with the most incredible things like my favorite...almond meringue cookies. Everywhere you turn there's more insanely delicious sweets. UGH!!! Pignoli cookies sooooo fresh and sooooo soft that they keep them in a refrigerator to be able to handle. I'm actually on my way there now after seeing anpost they made the other day on their Instagram of a Pumpkin Cheesecake Crumb Bun!!!

This is an eclectic bakery that has something for everyone Customary Italian pastries. Aa large selection of delectable crumb cakes. Fresh and delicious cookies. A surprise of old world Italian biscotti in the front window. And to top it off Great cakes and cupcakes. I had a special cake made for my sons birthday, picture attached as words do not do it justice.

Simona's saved me! I had ordered a graduation cake for 40 people from another place and they lost the order when I called to confirm 24 hours before and said they didn't have time to make another cake for me. I called Simona's and they said "no problem!". They were even able to do the cannoli filling that my kids had wanted. Cake was delicious and beautifully decorated!

Our Thanksgiving desserts were from Simona's Bakery this year. The pumpkin and apple pies were very fresh and tasty. We had a dozen assorted large pastries. The quality was good. The carrot cake and cannoli's were a hit. The other pastries were average. The seven layer cookies and linzier tarts were a disappointment. They didn't taste fresh as they had in the past. Staff is friendly. Pre order if you need anything for the upcoming holidays.

Went here for the first time based on reputation and reviews and came away disappointed. Apparently bread isn't their thing; cookies are. They offer a very wide assortment of colorful cookies and cupcakes all displayed very nicely so it looks kind of festive when you walk in. Specifically, I was looking for fresh baked cinnamon raisin bread but all they carry is rye and one or two loaves of white bread. They offered a wide assortment of biscotti as well, from anisette to pistachio. The biggest annoyance however was the counter help....young girls with an "I don't really want to be working here" attitude. So if you ask a question, you'll feel like your bothering them. One of them wasn't very bright and made no sense when she answered my question, but then went on to disagree with me and even provoke an argument but I refused to respond, took my cookies and left...don't think I'll go back now that I think of it, unless I'm looking for abuse. Note to owner: the customer is ALWAYS right! (Even when they're wrong)

I had previously been discussing cakes with a baker whom I've done business with in the past but when he cancelled our tasting the night before I was in a bind. I found Simona's Bakery through a Google search and called to see if I could schedule a tasting in short notice. I spoke with Jenn who told me that was no problem. I booked my tasting, attended my tasting, signed the contract and made a deposit all in a matter of two days. All of the women at Simona's are so pleasant and nice. They really made my experience enjoyable and put a smile on on my face. I can't wait to see the cake once it's done! Now the tasting... There are so many options for your cake that it's hard not to get overwhelmed. I chose 6 different combinations and picked the two that I liked best. My combos were 1) Vanilla cake with German chocolate filling and Caramel buttercream 2) Vanilla cake with pineapples and Almond buttercream 3) Chocolate cake with strawberries and cannoli cream 4) Chocolate cake with mint chocolate filling and peppermint buttercream 5) Red Velvet with Coconut cream cheese filling and coconut buttercream 6) Red Velvet with white chocolate mousse filling and cream cheese buttercream Each flavor was DELICIOUS and the cake was soft and moist! I won't say what I chose in hopes not to spoil the surprise for my guests! Thank you Jenn and Simona's Bakery for making me smile before my wedding!

We were excited to try out this place after we saw it one day on the way to the beach... and after we tried it once, we knew we would make many trips back and bring more people to fall in love with it like we did. We have tried cupcakes, brownies, truffles, cookies, macaroons, crumb cake and more and every single item was consistently fantastic. It is absolutely decadent and the prices are reasonable for the incredible quality that you get. We are so excited we found this gem of Simona's and have already recommended to lots of friends and family!

Two words: KitKat cake; are reason enough to bump this bakery up to 5 stars. Apparently, my mom and bf had been in cahoots to get my favorite candy baked into a cake for my 26th birthday. My bf sent my mom a recipe and my mom took it over to Simona's who said she could make it no problem. It was such a surprise and a highlight to the whole celebration! The cake looked beautiful and tasted indescribably delicious. I was dipping the KitKats into the chocolate buttercream and cannoli filling. It was pure heaven. I will be counting down the days til the next one!

I have been going to Simona's Bakery since day one and I would never go anywhere else. Everything is always fresh and you can tell that everything is made with top of the line ingredients. The icing is not that hard sugary icing that you get from shop-rite or some other bakery's. I've gotten a wine bottle cake for my husband's 60th birthday, a diaper bag cake for a baby shower and a cupcake tower for my wedding. Simona's bakery made everything the way I asked - they looked great and tasted great! My favorite is the cheese cake - it's a must - I have never tasted a better cheese cake! I can't wait for my next big event to get another cake from them - It's always a hit of the party!

Their breads are good. This is a satellite bakery to the one in Belmar. The baking is actually done there. Unless you honestly in the morning, you get whatever they have left. I would like to visit the one in Belmar. Road trip. :)

Wow don't get cookies here! Friends brought some over & after we tried them our friends took them off the dessert table! Stale tasting , no redeeming quality...better cookies at other bakeries!

What a great bakery. When visiting jersey this bakery is a must if your in town. Everything is fresh and the girls are super friendly. They have just about everything but go early because they get a pretty good crowd on the morning.

kind of a sucker for bakeries... a quick walk at the beach on a chilly day made Simona's even more inviting and it was open a bit later than we might have expected. got some chocolate filled cookies and they were great- cookies were crisp but not too sweet and the chocolate filling was tasty but not overly sweet. Also got some hammentaschen... outer dough was good and the fillings were very nice and fresh (raspberry, apricot, lechvar). there were loads of cakes, cupcakes, danish, biscotti, almond flour cookies with nuts all over them, pies, crumb cakes, etc. I was trying to not be a piggy. would definitely visit again and try some other items. BTW, employees were masked and wearing gloves and they wrapped everything carefully and securely.

Terrible birthday cakes with icing that tastes like crisco enuf said. Awful Other stuff I find not exceptional but acceptable. This place is frequently not open

It was my daughter-in-law's 40th birthday. I wanted to give her something unbelievable and boy I found it. Janine from Simona's bakery made her a cake she will never forget. I gave her a picture and she did it exact, a fabulous Gucci shoe on a Gucci box!. Every detail was exact what a work of art and delicious too!!

This place smells like heaven when you walk in! They have at least 5 cases of cupcakes, breads, cookies, pastries and cakes. They had every cookie you could ask for - including the lace cookies, which are my fave. I hear they make custom cakes and wedding cakes.

Love love love this bakery!!!! Everything is so fresh and delicious. Plus the smell in there is heavenly! Lolol
