Nice food with reasonable price. A lot of fish and chips in 1 serve, huge beef burger and the salad that was amazing. We bought wedges but you do need to buy sour cream and sweet chili sauce.

Simon’s food is consistently perfect. Best fish and chips every time. Have been coming here for years. Don’t blame him for being short and sharp. You should see the wildlife he has to deal with that pulls through this joint. Love you Simon! Lorri, Greg and Ryder 2025

Simon’s vanilla slice has to be the best one I e ever tasted, the hot chips are ridiculously good and there is plenty of quality Dardenup butcher meats and fresh grocery’s available. Was a great little find while on holidays!

Simon's Market Cafe has fresh fruit and vegetables daily. Simon also offers fresh baked goods, seafood and a good range of fresh meats. The homemade vanilla slice and date slice is famous in Hopetoun, worth trying on your next visit. All the standard grocery items are available and Simon has very reasonable prices. Simon also has the best Scotch fillet steak which he can sell to you in bulk or per steak cut to your preference. If you order the fish and chips there is a very nice little seating area upstairs where you can enjoy full 290 degree Seaview's, a real vantage point, while you enjoy your meal.

My Airbnb host recommended their fish and chips, and I’m so glad I tried them! The fish was crispy, the chips were perfect with lemon and sauce, and the portion was generous. All that for just $16 — definitely worth it!

Stumbled upon this little market cafe while visiting Hopetoun. Excellent customer service, friendly staff wanting to have a chat. Cheap fresh fruit and veggies! The price of the pantry items here are cheaper than IGA! Would recommend buying groceries here and support local. They also have food and drink to have up stairs in the cafe area.
