Simon's Market Cafe has fresh fruit and vegetables daily. Simon also offers fresh baked goods, seafood and a good range of fresh meats. The homemade vanilla slice and date slice is famous in Hopetoun, worth trying on your next visit. All the standard grocery items are available and Simon has very reasonable prices. Simon also has the best Scotch fillet steak which he can sell to you in bulk or per steak cut to your preference. If you order the fish and chips there is a very nice little seating area upstairs where you can enjoy full 290 degree Seaview's, a real vantage point, while you enjoy your meal.

We just bought a small amount of fruit. Other stock looked a bit old. Shelf food was close to use by date. You also have to walk upstairs. To me a strange kind of shop.

Huge portions, not a single bit of grease and you can tell the produce is all fresh. All provided by really polite and friendly service, definitely recommend!

We had the fish and chips (flathead) and we don't normally write reviews but had to say that we took one bite of the fish and threw it out. Chips were ok but the fish, whilst a generous serving, was gross.. Wont be back

Pretty good food dampened by hostile service. After a very short deliberation, told to "JUST MAKE A DECISION" about what to order. Asked for a latte and then a moment after said that we wanted it with soy. The man serving let out a huff, "NOW YOU WANT A SOY LATTE". We stopped in, not because we really needed anything, but just to support local business. Thank you for working on a holiday, may you find a pleasant counter person to help your business flourish.

The best takeaway fish and chips I’ve had for a long time. Delicious, battered half-fillets and typical Australian-style chips cooked to perfection.

Open on Christmas Day! The fish & chips were served in generous portions. I even found lobster, steak, and my favorite purple-skinned white-fleshed sweet potatoes. It’s a small market, but it has everything you could possibly need.
