I absolutely love my waitress. She was so knowledgeable about food allergies and being upfront about everything. They help me customize a dish so I would be able to eat it with food allergies. The lamb was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly when you say rare they actually cook it rare. I tried the yogurt soup that they had and I didn't love that but I'm happy that I tried it. They had so many different options of things to try and all the flavors were so unique. I highly recommend coming here and I would definitely come back here again. Even better is that the food wait time was only like 5 minutes which was amazing.

Had a great experience here! The atmosphere is really nice, especially the porch seating—perfect for enjoying a beautiful day. The staff were warm and welcoming. The food overall was solid—I’d give it an 8/10. The lentil soup wasn’t what I expected; it was unblended and quite lime-forward, which might be a hit or miss depending on your taste. The chicken gyro, on the other hand, was fantastic—fresh, hot, crispy, and loaded with flavor and sauce. Portion sizes were generous too. I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone in Rochester craving Mediterranean food.

Loved it! My friend and I shared a delicious early dinner. Our table was outside and felt very cozy and comfortable. Fish was flavorful served with delicious Greek salad (dressing was on point). The combo plate was big and Mediterranean classy. My favorite was Tabouli salad and babaganoush. Thank you for the great food and hospitality 🫶

We had a group of seven including a six year old. They had to move a few tables together and gave us the option of adding a small round table or adding a chair at the end. That in itself wasn’t all that important, but the owner came out to make sure everything was perfect. He even hung up my coat. We got several dishes and shared them around the table. All were very tasty and one of my top requirements for any restaurant was there, the food came out hot. Yay! But again, the food was great. The server was very attentive for all of our needs. The owner came out to make sure everything was perfect and saw the six year old being a bit picky, and he brought out a separate small plate of unseasoned chicken for her. He was extremely thoughtful. Sorry pictures of the food.

Always great service and fantastic food. Great atmosphere for relaxing and catching up with friends

Google
Finally got dinner here for takeout and it did not disappoint! They were very efficient on the phone, accommodated easily to my “no dairy” request on the chicken plate. Everyone was kind and although we didn’t eat there, the inside was nice. We got a bunch of food, a few different kebabs, some pitas and falafel and a few other things, ALL of it was great. Definitely recommend.

Google
A small Mediterranean restaurant with amazing food. There are so many options and the portions are so large. I got the Samak (fish) and a combo plate for the table, and all of it was delicious. I like how you can the fruit salad for your side salad, and our waitress was really nice about asking about allergies.

Nanda C H

Google
Location, parking, food and service are all excellent. I was on a visit to Rochester from India. Ordered pure vegetarian food. Portions are large. When we had to pack a part of our order, more Pita bread were added too for free. It’s an authentic Mediterranean restaurant.

Cathy H.

Yelp
Nice variety of delicious food. Service is always friendly and prompt. Reasonable prices as well. Would recommend.

Yelp
We went to Sinbad's for dinner our date night. It has been awhile since we've gone there. It is always good and never does it disappoint. They were not busy as we arrived around 5ish so we got a booth right away and the waitress came a few minutes after. We got our drinks and placed our orders. I got the vegetarian chili for my appetizer which was delicious and my fiancé got the lentil soup which was also delicious. For my main course I got the Dipollo without the chicken which is my favorite it was of course very good. The portion sizes are very generous. I brought my leftovers home. My fiancé got the combo plate which again was a good sized portion he finished his. For dessert I got the baklava one of my all time favorites. So all in all a very pleasant dining experience. I highly recommend trying it at Least once. The menu has so many options that there is something for everyone.

Paul B.

Yelp
The food was okay but the service was awful. I asked for a soda with no ice and ice came in it. I asked for a dolma pita but they brought me a demeh pita. I guess that is the bar in Sinbad.

Thomas G.

Yelp
Reasonable prices, a prime location on Park Ave with nice outdoor seating during Rochester summers. In true Mediterranean spirit, the food is fresh. My favorite has always been the Cornish hen which is seasoned with herbs and is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It can be a little greasy, but it's balanced off by the lettuce (or so I tell myself. The seating both indoors and outdoors is pretty tight which is my biggest complaint. You sometimes feel like you're sitting on top of the people next to you and can easily become engaged in their conversations.

Christiana F.

Yelp
Sinbads is always great! I love how fresh and flavorful their food is. Service was also quick.

John D.

Yelp
Si bass has been on Park Ave for years. Never disappoint. Lunch dinner for healthy Mediterranean cuisine hits the spot.

Yelp
I've always been a regular customer whenever I am in town. After my brother's sudden death (which made the news), I wanted to take my mother here since it's her favorite place in Rochester to eat. Owner and waitress were terribly rude and disrespectful, despite the posted hours. When I shared with them the situation, they could care less and insisted they were too busy. I understand being busy, but I don't understand callous, cruel, and cold behavior. I will never spend my money here again. It's not a cultural thing, they just don't care about their customers unless it's beneficial to them. Again, we showed up at 7:15pm. Kitchen wasn't closed.

Yelp
It was a overcast day in Rochester, the kind of day that promised rain. The kind of day when only dogs look forward to a walk outside. I had a lunch date set up with a smart cookie; classy, worldly, good looking, the kind that can size you up and down with one glance, and know things about you that you've never known yourself. But I digress. The weather looking sketchy. I offered to punt. She kicked it back to me. I played a football metaphor. She turned it into soccer. I sized up the odds, whether the weather would hold. Coin toss said "no". Second coin toss said "no". I tossed the coin away, grabbed a talisman to prevent rain, and put the umbrella in my pocket. We met at the restaurant at noon. Lunch started with small talk, dancing around dancing. She ordered a wrap. I ordered the combo plate. Conversation continued with travel talk, mostly geographic, with a smattering of life's journeys and travails. The food - solid,. Middle Eastern, Fair. The conversation, aquatic, immersive. She was engaging, not engaged, but will probably take the plunge. Time flew. Lunch was done. I signaled the waitress for the check, played a gift card issued three years prior. The manager rejected it, pointing to fine print killing it after two years. I offered him the opportunity to be magnanimous. He declined. No problem, I charged it. We left, walking to her car, she smiled, said "The next one's on me". Yeah, I thought. I've heard that one in Reno. Meandering back to my car, I was sandbagged by a rush of feelings - like a Manhattan - shaken, strained, mixed emotions pouring out, but without the cherry. --------------------------------------------------- But, this being Yelp - not a creative writing blog - I owe them a review. The food and service was fine. If I judged it on that alone, I'd give it 4 stars (I'm not really all that picky). Ambiance was ~ okay. Pretty noisy, but, okay. The reason I'm only giving this 2 stars is because of the manager-on-staff that day. He ranked 0, so it averages out at 2. The manager refused to honor a gift card, that had fine print saying it expired 2 years from the date of issue, and it was into the third year. My date and I thought he should have been "magnanimous" and honored it anyway. But he didn't. So .... I contacted the NY State, checked for "unclaimed funds" since that is where the money should have gone upon expiry of the card, but that didn't happen, so the money still resided at the restaurant. Meanwhile, I contacted my local state rep's office, got connected to someone in Albany who directed me to a web page "CONSUMER ALERT: NYS Department of State's Division of Consumer Protection Reminds New Yorkers How to Avoid Losing Money with Gift Cards and Gift Certificates". According to the info on that page, the "MINIMUM expiration date imposed by law" for a card issued on the date mine was issued is 5 YEARS. So I was still within my rights. By two years! That web page urged consumers having difficulty redeeming gift cards to file a complaint with the New York State Division of Consumer Protection. BUT FIRST, they recommend speaking with the restaurant owner first, to see if he will correct the offense. Which I did. The following day I spoke with the Owner, who seemed a tad nervous, (he probably read the first version of this review, which I posted that evening before going to the NYS website) and he was VERY eager to resolve the issue to my satisfaction. He issued a new expiration date, which coincides with the NYS minimum, and said he would text an apology to my date, since his manager made me look like a goofball/idiot. Which he then dodged, pusillanimously. In sum, the conversation was great (perhaps the best reason to dine out) the food was good, the manager ... will probably keep his job, hopefully see the error in his ways. In hindsight, Sinbad's is a decent place to lunch, even if it doesn't launch a relationship. But remember to avoid the gift cards. I think I'll call it a wrap.

Yelp
This restaurant have an amazing menu with lots of healthy choices. I ordered the lentils soup and the Sinbad salad and love the combination of flavors and how beautiful they presented the salad. But I really didn't like how old and boring the restaurant looked. It was outdated and everything was grey. I also didn't like the service. I had to look for the waitress attention multiple time as she was having a conversation with what appeared the manager or the owner.

Rachel C.

Yelp
Came here on a rainy Friday- it was pretty empty when we arrived but quite busy on our way out. They were kind enough to hang our wet jackets and seated us post haste. We had never been here before, so our server was very helpful. For our table of four we got 2 pitzas (the pharoh and the sultan), a shmandar salad, funghi pasta and, because it seemed strange to go to a Mediterranean restaurant and not get some, hummus. Each was delicious, but my favorite was the pharoh, which had a baba ganoush bottom layer topped with grilled chicken, feta, tomatoes. It was savory and creamy and simply fabulous. We shared all across the table and it was plenty of food (too much perhaps). The bill for all that food (& 3 beers) was less than $90. An absolute steal. If I lived in Rochester I would certainly be a regular!

Roxanne C.

Yelp
Always fresh and tasty! Large variety of items with many vegetarian choices. High quality and great service always. Have loved it here fir many many years. Best in Rochester

Kay S.

Yelp
It was ok. I ordered a gyro and it was nothing special. They were skimpy on the tahini sauce and lettuce. The lentil soup had an odd consistency that I didn't care for and did not have more than 2-3 spoonfuls. The service was fine . The place filled up fast once noon rolled around, so I guess lots of people must like it. For me it was one and done.

Belen P.

Yelp
Sinbads has yummy food! The place is nice and charming. Service is always great. Pitas come with a nice amount of sauce so I like to ask for it on the side. Fun fact, their mimosas are delicious!

Patricia B.

Yelp
Had a wonderful lunch there we had baba ghanoush, kibbe plate, tabbouleh and a pita sandwich--also baklava dessert wonderful meal almost as good as My Mom's.

Minnie V.

Yelp
Best Mediterranean food in NY state- hands down! Falafel is amazing, their chicken platter is delicious, pitas are filled to the brim with- you can't go wrong with most anything on the menu.

Hannah R.

Yelp
The absolute best Mediterranean food in Rochester. The pitas are so delicious and the garlic sauce is out of this world. I always order extra sides of the garlic sauce and put it on sandwiches and wraps until I run out. You can't beat sinbads when you're in the mood for good Mediterranean food.

Nora K.

Yelp
Really yummy with great service. Would recommend. Parking behind is a bit tight. Staff is courteous and prompt. Don't go here very often as husband not a HUGE Mediterranean fan butnhe said the wings were very good!

Michelle R.

Yelp
Such vibrant, amazing food! I decided to eat a healthier diet...the Mediterranean food was recommended. I decided to try the local place called Sinbad's! Not only was the service top-notch, but the food was absolutely amazing! Who needs to go to Lebanon when there is food like this here in Rochester! And a bonus...we got to meet the owner! What an amazing treat! Definitely worth the trip to Park Ave in Rochester!

Renee P.

Yelp
Absolutely fun and fantastic! The owner is friendly, hands-on, and awesome sauce! There are SO many delicious options that we love to come here.

Alejandra V.

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend go here often and we love it every time. The atmosphere is cozy and the food is so delicious and fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant !

Gino M.

Yelp
Sinbad's? More like Singood's because this place is good. Usually I am getting takeout from here and the pitas and sambusek are top notch. However, if you're dining in, then I highly recommend the Chicken Vegetable soup. You'll leave here both full and happy.

Sara M.

Yelp
I've been coming back to this place during random times of the year for about 7 years. Rain, warm, snow and shine it doesn't matter you get consistency. The menu has not changed to my knowledge in the amount of times I've come to visit. This is a well oiled machine how they operate. The staff and owners make you feel warm and welcome. It's by far one of my fav places to go in Rochester.

Cindy F.

Yelp
This was my first time. I had a basil pasta beef tenderloin dish. It was so good. I will go back!

Scott W.

Yelp
This evening we tried the patio at Sinbad's Mediterranean on Park Ave. We tried Cacik (yogurt, mint, cucumber cold soup), Greek salad, Vegetarian Combo plate (hummus, tabouleh, falafel, babaganoush, and dolma), and Ali Baba Pitza (Garlic sauce as a base with tomatoes, charbroiled eggplant, feta cheese, olives, and parsley). The service was attentive and very friendly. Food came out quickly. We've not come sooner because it always looks so busy. It was worth it. Everything was fantastic!!! We will come back!

Christine P.

Yelp
We ordered food for carryout. It was all extremely delicious. I have no complaints with the taste. BUT...nothing was bitesize. The schmandar salad had no dressing. The spinach leaves were big and whole, with stems still on them. The beet slices were huge. The pharaoh pitza had huge chunks of chicken that kept falling off while trying to take bites. And was not cut into slices. I do not know how one would eat this at the restaurant. The shanklishe was a huge piece of eggplant that again, needed to be cut into pieces before being able to put on the bread that came with it. It may be the kitchen was busy as it was a lovely May evening with the outdoor dining quite full. All in all, I'm happy with the food. Just not the presentation or effort I had to go through to eat it.

H. M.

Yelp
Whenever we visit Rochester we eat at Sinbads on Park Avenue, but our last visit was not a good one. The prices went up, and the quality went down. The Batata usually has a cream garlic drizzle, which really added to the, now, rather dry potatoes. But now we were charged for this drizzle. Cheese ball!! Along with this change, the Tabouleh used to be served with slices of pita bread, which is common at all Mediterranean restaurants. Now this has a separate cost too. The prices now are not worth it. The owner, who is often seen berating his employees in front of customers (bad business), is obviously a cheap skate, and hopefully something will replace this restaurant soon! Can't recommend this place any longer!

Andrea G.

Yelp
Such a great experience! I love the curtain as you enter. One of the owners helped us pick our menu to have a great experience and try the best of everything they have to offer. We were new to Mediterranean food, so this was very helpful and appreciated. The atmosphere was welcoming, the gyros were incredible, hummus and baba ghanoush were great, but the falafel was by far my favorite thing. The fish was also very good as were the stuffed grape leaves. I will definitely be returning.

Jenelle M.

Yelp
I love all their food one of my favorite restaurants! My favorite is their Greek salad and fish.

Paul K.

Yelp
Came here for dinner based upon some of the recommendations suggested to me by my AirBnB hosts, and I can say inequivicably they did not steer me wrong... this had to be one of my best and unique experiences in having Mediterranean cuisine, and will definitely be coming again to try something new... there are so many delicious sounding options, and only so much room in my still large, but shrinking belly. For my first visit, I had the Sultan "Pitza"... I have no idea why, I haven't had anything like this before, but it really should be something more Mediterranean restaurants should at least try to do. Essentially a large pita is used as the replacing of dough for a pizza type meal... for the Sultan, it had a tahini base, gyro meat, onion, tomato, banana peppers, feta cheese and garnish of parsley. Everything was fresh and immensely tasty. My server was also extremely attentive and pleasant, and was very gracious in dealing with a bit of an overly excited and talkative version of myself (I had finished a visit to the Strong Museum an hour before, and was going to a concert an hour after). In the end, I must say that the next time I come to Rochester and have the hankering for some Mediterranean food, this will be my go to for sure.

Aarti R.

Yelp
Mom said "I want gyros" on Mother's Day, and that's the story of how I ended up at Sinbad's. A simple google search led us here where we were pleasantly surprised by a short wait. Sinbad's offers both indoor and outdoor seating, however it was a little chilly outdoors so we opted for the inside. Inside we were greeted with the smell of meat cooking. It smelled good! We were seated and perused the menu. We ended up with an appetizer of hummus which was amazing. It came with fresh pita for dipping. Mom and I both ended up ordering the Shish kebab which came on pita with fresh cucumber, onion and tomato in a tasty dressing with feta cheese sprinkled on. The meat was well cooked.

Daryna B.

Yelp
Such delicious food and comes out rather quickly!! They always try to accommodate our larger groups and make everything go smoothly and easy! Staff is sooo nice and the owner never fails to come to us and say hello and thank us for coming!! Last but not least the food is always perfect and de

Liz M.

Yelp
Really solid Mediterranean spot in the Rochester area. My brother, SIL, and I got takeout yesterday at their recommendation. I was pleasantly surprised! Everything was fresh and delicious with high quality ingredients. The only thing I didn't like food wise was the falafel, which was disappointing. It was really really dry and crumbly, without a lot of flavor. The hummus, chicken, gyro meat (in both a pita and a salad), baba ganoush, all were fantastic. The inside space looked fine but a bit dark- but I didn't stay to eat. The neighborhood was really cute!! I will likely be back when I'm in this area again!

Jacqueline P.

Yelp
Misogynistic manager/owner? My family placed an order for carry out on a Saturday night. I walked in and was immediately helped by a nice young lady about my age, she got my food and went to cash me out when this very rude manager or owner pushed her off the register to take my card. He then held my receipt down as I went to write the total/tip and proceeded to pressure me about how much to tip him. Incredibly disrespectful to his own staff and to the customers he's serving. I feel bad for the other female staff in there and hope they don't get pushed around like that girl did. Food was alright, but we will not be returning.

Anita B.

Yelp
While eating lunch, my car was sideswiped by another vehicle in their parking lot. I went to see if I could get help in resolving the issue. There was no concern or help from the restaurant's management. Making it a very negative and expensive experience. They took my phone number and said they would contact me. They did not. That was their way of brushing me off.

Davin M.

Yelp
Fast, delicious, and great value! Falafels were some of the best we had - not too dry. Ali baba pitza is a must try if you like baba ghanoush. Eggplant was soft and smoky

Brenda O.

Yelp
Flavor! Flavor! Flavor!.. tried this place for the first time and I was highly impressed. The place was very small. Which to me is a good sign that the food will be good. Literally, Every dish I ordered was absolutely delicious. I started with the Ganbari for an appetizer, sautéed shrimp (cooked perfectly) served on pita triangles with roasted red peppers and olives. The flavor of the peppers and olives went perfect together and the pita triangles were so fresh. This was my favorite out of the 3 dishes. You have to try it. My entree was Samak, which is a grilled mahi-mahi with sautéed pine nuts, onions and tahini yogurt dressing. The sautéed onions were crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, the pine nuts added a crunch to the fish. Tahini sauce was great. Everything on this dish complemented each other. My entree came with a salad, I chose the Greek salad which was really good. I've had a lot of Greek salads before we're the dressing is ok but not this place. They make authentic Greek dressing, it was delicious. I cannot wait to go back.

Alexandra D.

Yelp
The best restaurant in Rochester. Rich taste and quality, nutritious, fast and good service, friendly staff who like their job and you can tell, genuine and warm feel, and amazing take out quality as in person. Highly recommend!! Warm and cozy ambiance, perfect any time of year or occasion. Looking forward to coming back many times!

Nancy O.

Yelp
I haven't been to Sinbad in years, but I remembered it to be fairly good. This time around it was just plain awful. Let me count the ways. I ordered chicken kebabs. No skewers only hard, tasteless chicken wrapped in a thick doughy naan with a white sauce that in no way tasted like tahini. The Greek salad was meh. Probably the freshest ingredient was the feta. The service was good. I'll come back one more time and try a dish the good reviews are raving about. Should have gotten take out from Cedar restaurant on Monroe. So, so much better when it comes to chicken kebabs. Their made to order naan is also much better.

Kelly K.

Yelp
We celebrated our son's 21st birthday for lunch here and everything was absolutely perfect! We were seated immediately and service was spectacular. We enjoyed the gyro plate, a falafel plate and a few other delicious plates. I can't believe we waited so long to try Sinbad's and we'll definitely return soon.

Andrew B.

Yelp
Menu is quite extensive. There are five things I review a restaurant based on location, service, food quality, price, ambiance (miscellaneous) each is weighted 1-5 and each category is worth up to five points with five points equally a star. This restaurant gets a score of 3 for location as it's on a busy road with little parking. It's actually in an old house, a 5 for service as they seated us immediately and the space is open and light, the food is a 5 as the pita is very good, lentil soup had a tangy lemon taste, and the Kibbe was very good. The price gets a 3 and 4 for miscellaneous giving Sinbads a total score of 20 which is Four Stars. Try it the next time you are in Rochester NY

Dana B.

Yelp
We have been going to Sinbad's for thirty years and it has always been a delightful, delicious, and consistent experience. My favorite restaurant in Rochester! I have tried nearly every dish they offer. My favorite's: Sultan's Gyro Pitza or the DiVaccina pasta. Can't go wrong with any item though!

Kevin S.

Yelp
A Culinary Autopsy (My wife gave me the idea for that title. I'm not that clever.) I should start by admitting I am a middle eastern restaurant's worst nightmare. I am half Lebanese, was raised Lebanese, and my maternal grandmother was acknowledged by the huge (Rochester!) Lebanese family as the queen of the kitchen. I ate much Middle Eastern food as a child. I've wanted to try Sinbads since moving here because it is in such a trendy and interesting - and beautiful - part of Rochester. Let me say first off that the staff was very solicitous and polite. Prices are reasonable. Menu is extensive and interesting, perhaps even "creative." I had high expectations. They were utterly dashed. We began with two appetizers, Malfouf and Tabbouleh. My grandmother made superb stuffed cabbage as well as stuffed grape leaves but always both stuffed with meat and rice, and seasoned simply with allspice, S&P, lemon. This concoction had only rice. And spices. So many spices. Overwhelmed the palate completely. Ungraciously, ignominiously, impolitely. The cabbage was undercooked and very crunchy. So was the rice. Neither had been cooked enough. I knew then and there if a place calling itself mediterranean (read: middle eastern) couldn't get stuffed cabbage right, it was going to be downhill from there. Stuffed cabbage also requires, customarily, tomato in the sauce. None, at least none I could sense given the heaped abuse of spices utterly foreign to stuffed cabbage, unless the orientation is Turkish, because their cuisine tends to the violent. Like this stuff tonight. The tabbouleh was a slimy, gloppy mess of an overabundance of oil with the involved greens literally swimming in cupfuls of it and almost enough lemon juice to neutralize the ocean of oil. The burghul was almost missing in action it was so small and inconsequential to the overall dish. It is hard to wreck tabbouleh, but here we are. Shaka, when the walls fell... We like to order several things, eat a little there and take home food for later. After the abortive unappetizing appetizers, soon arrived our kafta "wrap", shish kebab and a pizza (spelled "pitza" on the menu) containing shrimp and artichokes, among other things, something you can't really consider middle eastern unless it is a very contemporary and cosmopolitan middle eastern cuisine. The kafta meat was so aggressively spiced as to be inedible. I have never had my taste buds so viciously assaulted as with the spicing of this poor piece of ground meat. The sauce was similarly over done. One bite and I was through with that experiment. My tongue lodged a complaint of assault and battery. Even the meat of the shish kebab was overspiced and the addition of feta cheese was truly gilding the lily - oldfartspeak for "too much." While it was grilled (or roasted or charcoaled) enough, the seasoning overpowered the meat flavor. If the meat had been marinated before cooking it was overwhelmed. Maybe the marinade - if used - was overwhelming. I don't know, and after one piece of meat, I no longer cared. I had given up hope. The "pitza" read as an interesting creation, so I tried it as an experiment. It failed. The cheese on top had not been exposed to heat long enough to melt sufficiently. So some of the cheese was crunchy, some was melted, some was like it just got shook out of the Sorrento bag. The shrimp were appealingly large, but covered in some crusty goo that just tormented the flavor of the shrimp until it simply gave up the ghost. I ate the shrimp & left the undercooked spinach & soggy undercrust, but I picked some roasted red peppers from the miasma of stuff and ate them separately. There's nothing like good middle eastern food and this was nothing like good middle eastern food. It was awful and thus I felt like I was performing an autopsy on food unfairly subjected to over-seasoning, under-cooking and less then enough attention to preparation and ... cooking. I felt, too, that my taste buds had been literally assaulted and brutalized with so many spices of incompatible contention in too many combinations on food that needed ***SUBTLETY*** when there was absolutely none. This was the most unflatteringly aggressive and obnoxious M.E. cuisine I have ever had in 61 years. I felt dismally sorry for all the people eating there who probably thought "this is such great mediterranean food" but knew no better. I am convinced that the people giving this food anything over two stars are either unfamiliar with good middle eastern food and its subtleties or they are perhaps suffering from some sort of cognitive disorder. If you want excellent Lebanese food prepared simply by a genuine Lebanese grandmother ("sittu") who still works there every day, go to Cedar on Monroe Avenue. Avoid Sinbad - a conjunction of two aptly descriptive words for this ugly meal - at all costs. Cause of palate death: excess spicing in violation of the Geneva convention & norms of international law, & good taste.

Yelp
I love Sinbad's food and love even more than I was able to get takeout during the COVID-19 outbreak. They took my order and credit card number over the phone and had the food ready for me at the door with a receipt to sign (truly touchless takeout). At the time of this review, the hours for takeout were 12pm-8pm, and beer ($3) or wine ($20) is available with your to go order. The menu has lots of variety. My favorite is the Oasis pizza, made on pita with garlic sauce, mushrooms, artichokes, cheddar cheese, and tomatoes. I don't know what's in the garlic sauce, but it is amazing. Pizzas are large and I always have leftovers. Combo plate items can be substituted for items that already come on it. For example, I ordered mine with no dolma and extra hummus. Nothing wrong with the dolma, I just love their hummus. When the weather is nice (and we can be around people again), Sinbad's has a great outdoor patio. In my opinion, it's the best Middle Eastern/Lebanese food around. I just had it and I'm already looking forward to the next time!

Yelp
Sinbad's patio is great for people watching, but even when the weather or season doesn't permit Al fresco, the restaurant's interior, while simple, is cozy and intimate. Dishes are always healthful and tasty, while offering good value. Service has always been friendly and attentive. Parking behind the building is limited, but I almost always find a space. Just a really great place for a tasty and healthful casual meal. Also great for to-go orders.

Yelp
It was the first time we came here since the pandemic started. We were delighted to find out that the quality of the foods was still very good. We had the combo appetizers to atart with. The falafel was was a but tough, and the pita bread could have been warmer or fluffier but hummus and baba were great. We love Pharaoh pizza - it was our favorite before the pandemic, a d it was still great! The baklava was tiny but okay. We will go back again!

Yelp
This place is hands down my favorite Mediterranean food. Tonight I had some time and stopped in for their version of a pizza. I ordered the sultan which has gyro meat, feta, tomato and onions and banana peppers. This was incredible. I ate 3 quarters of it in one sitting. The pita bread they use as the crust was crisp and able to hold the heavy amount of toppings no issue. Just a fantastic food experience every single time I stop here.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night. We were seated right away. The decor of the place is a little dingy. Definitely needs an upgrade. The server came up to us to get a drink order pretty quickly. The wine took a while to come. She also took her sweet time coming back to take our food order. We shared the hummus app and I got some type of pizza made vegan. The hummus was delicious! The pizza was ok at best. The base was baba and they included a ton of veggies on top. I would have liked the pizza to be cooked longer. The weight of the ridiculous amount of veggies on top made it messy to eat. I had to smother the pizza with salt & pepper just to give it some flavor. Overall, fine place. No urge to go back, but you never know!

Yelp
Okay let's start with the Restaurant and then discuss the neighborhood! It's awesome! We had a Mahi Mahi dish that was outstanding! They loaded us up with hummus and pita. There was so much hummus I thought I wasn't going to wasn't going to have the opportunity to try the Mahi! The Spanish wine was delightfully rich and smooth! The presentation felt very authentic! The staff and patrons were all so incredibly friendly! If you're a local, I bet that you'll agree when I say the neighborhood is beautiful! Just walk out of your home and into a coffee shop, diner or bakery. No chain restaurants! Love it! I definitely recognized some of the restaurants I would dine at 20 years ago! Yep 20 years ago LOL! Same charm and energy!

Yelp
My mom and I had a wonderful dinner at Sinbad's. We got there early for dinner around 430. Staff was very attentive, albeit not having many other customers, but still very kind. We ordered the vegetarian platter and oasis pitza with shrimp to share. The platter was very filling. The grape leaves definitely tasted homemade, along with everything else on the plate. You get a good sized plate of cut up pita with the dish too. I loved the oasis pitza with the garlic base- yum. The cheddar is an interesting choice of cheese, but I can't complain cause it was really tasty all put together!

Yelp
Food is good but kitchen is unwilling to make ANY accomodations. I have a gluten sensitivity and requested my pita Sfiha be served without the and instead on a bed of lettuce. This is the same request I make at any restaurant I go to and have NEVER had an issue with it. And, no, it wasn't busy. There were only two other tables there at that time. The kitchen refused at Sinbad's refused to do this. I said, okay, just serve it without the bed of lettuce. Still a no go. So, I just ordered it as it comes and figured I'd dump it out myself. The waitress did manage to get it served without the pita but it shouldn't have been this much work. Wont be going back. I've worked in the restaurant industry before and can't stand cocky kitchen staff - no reason for them to not treat their wait staff with respect and no reason to meet simple food requests, especially when there aren't many guests at that time.
