It was the first time for me to travel with Singapore Airlines. Traveling from NY JFK airport to Bali, Indonesia, a very long time to travel, for more than 20 hours in air. The airplane a Boing 777 was a nice and clean, I payed for extra room to stretch the legs. All the crew were very friendly people, ready to help in every single moment. Departing was on time, no any problem with communication with airline. The Singapore airport was the best airport ever seen.

First class going to Singapore from JFK was truly a dream come true. Service was impeccable, clean, seats that turn into beds. Great selection of shows and movies, food was hot and flavorful! 10/10

My husband and I travel a lot for business and leisure and this is the first time I’ve felt compelled to leave a review. Our gate agent was Bethany and she was just the most pleasant gate person we’ve come across. She mentioned to us the nearby lounges and recommended which one she liked the best. She also let us know where the business class line was. We already knew all these things but we’ve never had a gate agent go the extra mile to let us know a few things. Loved her. Made our experience lovely from the beginning.

I am giving this 4 stars because the checking-in at Row 7 was made pleasant by Mr Prakash who helped us check-in faster as there was a long queue due to several delays in the various queues despite being Star Alliance member. BUT at the Prime Class Lounge, which SQ appointed for her loyal clients, this becomes a disappointment!!!!! It is like a cafe offering $9.99 buffet. Even the beers and wine are WARM! I thought only sake is to be drunk heated! Staying as a premium Airline requires a strong commitment to customers’ well-being and travel delight both on and off the SQ planes. I am joining the many negative feedback givers to SQ. Wake-Up! Or lose your loyal customers!!!

Singapore Airlines is one of the great airlines, I have flew with around the world. The flight attendants and the pilots were very kind and helpful. They made sure all the passengers were taken care of, felt welcomed and made it to their next destination safely.

If you’re flying Singapore business class from JFK . Do not come to airport early and expect lounge acces. The lounges you have access to looks like a strip mall cafeteria. With almost 0 buffet variety options. Singapore Airlines is compared to Emirates and Emirates have their very own lounge. (Gorgeous and luxurious) If Singapore can’t have their own lounge, they should give their business class passengers access to better lounges that meet the same class .

What happens to my ‘beloved’ SQ?? Singapore Airlines lounge at JFK Airport, New York. Getting lousier by day…. From Virgin Lounge, then Wing Tips, thereafter PrimeClass ?? What a joke. Not a ‘prime’ at all. Worse comes to worst, not sure if it will can worse. One can simply advise to take First Class to get a better lounge. Yeah sure. The question is why it gets worse? If we ever be able to go with 1st class, will the lounge be ‘downgraded’ like this?? So sad indeed. #singaporeairlounge #singaporeairloungejfkairport #SingaporeAir #singaporeairlineslounge - food is lousy - toilet is nowhere near, let alone shower - sitting arrangement is not a lounge at all, a bus terminal is likely - the crowd is the worse - internet conn? WTH??!! I’m offline every 2min. OMG I have seen the best of SQ lounge, so is this a sign of worst days of SQ?? Ok do hope it is not. Currently the only hope is the excellent service on air, the many-nice-people serving on the flight and the well-known safe planes…. Lounge??? Nah…. Only at Changi deserves a thumbs up.

Google
Had diarrhea from the water served on SQ25 from JFK to SIN. Singapore Airlines flights from JFK Airport to Singapore provides only tap water on its flights. I had diarrhea drinking the tap water on SQ25. All other airlines that fly to Singapore from JFK provide bottles water. When I asked the flight attendant for bottled water, I was told that the bottled water was reserved for crew members. So I had to ask for other canned & bottled drinks, which are too sugary. Please just provide ckwan bottled water for future flights out of JFK, please.

Yelp
Superb airline! Tight seats overseas on a 747 to Frankfurt. Excellent foods, both cold and hot: seafoods, pastas, rolls, cheeses and wines/desserts. Stewardesses could interact a bit more, instead of acting like they don't speak English. Clean and well managed service. Rebel review: 4

Yelp
As someone who flies a lot, this airline lives up to their reputation as the best in the world. Flew business from Singapore to JFK and even 17.5'hour was a breeze considering the service, attention to detail and comfort. The seats in business are wonderful and fold down to become a flat bed. The flight attendants were truly attendant to every request and the food and presentation was wonderful.

Yelp
They changed my direct flight from JFK- Singapore to 2 stops flights . The e-ticket and the flight on the website are two different flights ,I have trying to call them every day for 3 weeks. I was on hold for 1 hour and a half everyday to just have it automatic disconnected! I traveled from Manhattan to JFK to talk to supervisor, she said she can't do anything if I wanna upgrade my flight or change it she can do it within 1 days before flight ! Change my flight from 18 hours flight to 28 hours flight !?!? Come on!! It's is horrible. The supervisor tried to give me a different number but her Spanish manager with red jacket told her not to give the JFK number ! I will never fly with them ever again! I know it is in the middle of the pandemic . But come on this is SingaporeAir, it's should be one of the best service! They don't care.

Yelp
Flew nonstop from JFK-SIN and felt well taken care of! Service was impeccable although Book the Cook still hasnt returned to PE as of Dec 2021. Regardless, the food was still tasty

Yelp
I flew Premium Economy between JFK and Frankfurt and back this summer, and I must say, the entertainment system is excellent. The food, while it may not look that appealing, was amazing (I ordered the beef on the way back to JFK). If I were to trust anyone to take me across the Atlantic (or on any long haul flight), it would be Singapore Airlines.

Yelp
Ticket Agent Parmesh Bissoondial went above and beyond to assist my client with her check in process. He is a shining star at the JFK Terminal. Please give him a raise!!

Yelp
There are really no words. The service that this airline provides is exceptional. I had heard nothing but Good things about them and you know what it was all true. The Laddies and gentlemen that served us were just out standing. The food was even excellent. I was able to choose from a menu but I choose a different feature that they had which was book the chef. I choose what I wanted and that beef stew was great. I can't wait to fly them once again. I can only imagine there business class and there suite service. Hopefully next time I can give a report from one of those classes. All said and done I love this airline and I recommend flying there premium economy. You sit in a larger seat and have some business class perks. It is really worth it.

Yelp
Another great experience with Singapore Airlines, especially I picked the front row of the economy seat. With enough legroom like that, I have no complaint. I also requested seafood meals throughout my SQ25 and SQ26 from JFK to Singapore and back via Frankfurt. I noticed something though. In the past I used to see the staff going in and out the bathroom after passengers used the bathrooms for the purpose to clean the bathrooms or to make sure the bathrooms are kept clean at all time. However, this trip I didn't see that. But overall the cleanliness wasn't so bad, every passenger knew how to take care of it. On any airplanes, if you request a specific meal, your meal would come first before anybody else's meal. So, make sure to request if you know you like a specific meal. My seafood meals were pretty good. I like Singapore Airlines, however, more than two transits is beginning to feel too much to take at this time. I'd like to try different airlines and compare the time and layovers. The service is of course exceptional! It's Singapore Airlines, who can beat that?

Yelp
The head lady at jfk who is manager at ticketing didn't let me board the flight although I had Greece shenanigan visa. I was boarding for Frankfurt. She made me do a connecting flight to Greece unnecessarily harassed me at ny. I went to Frankfurt & they asked me if I want to get out in Germany as I have valid visa. They let me out & I wasted ticket of Greece because of negligence of Singapore airlines.

Yelp
This is my fave. First Class with huge monitors, down duvets, Lobster Thermidor, and the Singapore Girls with a combination of Asian charm and beauty plus western customer service skills. I hope I'll be able to fly on them again sometime......

Yelp
JFK - FRA The flight was very comfortable. The captain announced that we were going through some turbulence, however, I rarely felt it much. It must have to do with the size of the plane and how it handles turbulence. Also, the aircrew was very nice and accommodating. If they provided an excellent service to the economy class, I could only imagine how attentive they are with the business, first and suite classes. I highly recommend this flight, airline, and plane.

Yelp
I tried the SQ25 and SQ26 during my roundtrip between JFK to SIN. SQ25 -- Premium Economy. My PE bid offer didnt go through in their system so they made me wait it out after entire plane was boarded to offer me my PE seat for a cost even though the PE area was completely empty. So much for customer loyalty. I didnt see much difference in terms of service for PE compared to economy except for the extra legroom. Food was ehh compared to what was served in economy, and barely got any snacks during those long hours between dinner and next morning meal :( I felt starved. SQ26 -- Economy. Food here was much better. However their vegetarian options are extremely terrible so please be careful on booking this airline if you're a veggie. Again, same problem with overnight food problems. I felt starved or maybe im just a monster and I eat too often. Overall, legroom was good for both flights, however movie options were poor.

Yelp
The best airline in the world with the sweetest staff and excellent pilots! I was very fortunate to be upgraded to business class and man do you never wanna fly economy ever again.. Economy yet is still bigger than on other planes I flew on! I can only recommend them! Food is super good!

Yelp
Glowing praise for a heavenly flight from Frankfurt. There is no rival to Singapore's stellar service. The flight staff here puts the flier first and they are polite- what a change from American Airlines. The women wear long cute skirts & matching shirts and have a specific look, and are truly accommodating to the customers. The plane was completely refurbished and comphy with individual monitors and good movie selections. Watched- Iron Man3 and the Call coming home. Food is very decent for airline food with reasonable choices. Overall, a great way to fly.........

Yelp
Packed in like sardines on a super sized plane to Frankfurt. But at least the service was excellent. The flight attendants were amazing and very attentive to passengers' needs and they cleaned the bathrooms often.

Yelp
Oh come on! At least make it fair for all the other airlines! :). They define perfection. Comfort, class, and REAL service. A380 business class is in a league all of its own. Worth every penny. My only complaint is that th flight ended and I had to join the chaos and insult which has become our own airline system....

Yelp
I used to love flying, but after 9/11 with the necessity of security plus the airline cutbacks on all of the frills, I hate it. Singapore however seems to offer the last glimmer of hope for a decent flying experience. The service and food, compared to all of the other airlines is top notch.

Yelp
When in need of assistance in changing your flight, spare the agony of trying to speak to a representative on their toll-free number. Instead, just head on over to this ticketing office, and have them settle the problem for you. Just know that they charge a $50 service fee once they are able to change your ticket. I would pay $50 any day over having to wait 1.5 hours on the phone trying to speak to a representative, and yet was not able to connect. Yes, I gave up after 1.5hours of listening to the same Singapore Airline call waiting announcements over and over again. Perhaps had I waited another hour or so, I may speak to an actual person. The service at this ticketing office was efficient, courteous, and reliable. The staff that assisted me by the name of Lulu, went the distance to help me secure a seat on a full sector. She held on to her promise of calling me back to update me of my then pending ticket status.

Yelp
One of the best airlines! Seat were very comfortable. Great personal entertainment! Great service! Friendly staff! We can't possibly think of anything bad about this airline. Price can be more expensive than others but it's definitely worth every penny.

Yelp
This is the best airline in the world. If you have only flown airlines such as United, American, Delta, you don't know what good service means and I am very sorry. On long haul flights, I will always do my best to fly Singapore airlines. Sure, its expensive. But do you really want to suffer for hours? Also, do you really want to pay to check in your bag, pay for food, pay for drinks, pay to watch a movie? I forgot to mention, sometimes some of the stewardess on these airlines are fairly large and you might have a hard time trying to pass them. Well, Singapore Airlines has amazing service. If you have any dietary restrictions, they will have a specially prepared meal for you. I really enjoy drinking the SIngapore Sling on the plane too. I hate airline food but the food on Singapore Airlines is actually pretty good. The movie selection is amazing, they always have all the latest movies, and so many choices. On long haul 20+ hour flights, I am sometimes sad that I don't get to finish all the movies that I want to watch. If you have kids, they have awesome games to keep your kids entertained- Super Mario World, sports games, Sudoku etc. One time I missed my Singapore Airlines flight. This is what happened. I was flying within the states on US Airways. I missed my flight. The airline pretty much told me to screw myself. I had to spend $700 to buy a ticket that was originally about $150 because I had to book it last minute. Well, due to a snow storm, my $700 flight got "delayed" everyday. I was not able to fly out for a few days. By the time I flew out, I had already missed my flight on Singapore Airlines. I called them and they gladly rebooked me on the soonest available flight. I was charged the difference in price, which was a mere $30. Don't forget Singapore Airlines has Suites too, I have never flown in the Suite but it looks pretty sweet.

Yelp
Very nice flight. Flight attention given to passengers is superb! Will fly again! Looking forward to my next flight using this airlines again!

Yelp
Learn from my mistake - do not bring two bags and expect to be able to check them both on economy from Paris to Singapore. I was told the second bag would cost 600 euros. I threw away clothes at the De Gaulle airport. They also said I couldn't bring my guitar on board, so I offered it to a janitor because I couldn't bear to throw it away. Then I walked back to the counter and got another attendant who was much more helpful, and she checked my guitar immediately without charging me. Maybe if I had gotten her in the first place, I wouldn't have had to throw away so much clothing. When you pay 900 Euros for a one-way ticket, is it unreasonable to expect your second checked bag to cost less than half the price of the ticket itself? I have trouble seeing what is so good about this airline, especially to the point that it would justify their prices, which are often 40% higher than many other airlines on the routes I check. In terms of in-cabin service, I think Korean Air, Asiana, Emirates, Qatar, Turkish, KLM, and maybe even Air France are at least as good or better. If you are thinking of flying on Singapore because you are a United MileagePlus member (which is more cost-effective than being a KrisFlyer member because of KrisFlyer's MUCH (10x) higher fees when redeeming award flights: http://lifehacksingapore.blogspot.sg/2013/09/lifehacksg20-krisflyer-or-not.html)and you want miles, you should either avoid them altogether because they don't give miles for most of the reasonably-priced fares (http://www.smartertravel.com/travel-advice/no-united-miles-for-my-singapore-airlines-flights.html?id=4942977) or at least read the fine print very carefully (https://www.united.com/CMS/en-US/marketing/custcomm/promotions/pages/AirlinePartnerDetails.aspx?ItemId=304) to make sure that you are flying on a booking class that they usually award miles for and hope for the best, because sometimes they have been known not to award miles even for those booking classes they have agreed to credit. Really, you should fly Asiana though towards Asia which has better food and service. They have always credited me with miles. ANA appears more generous also, they also have better food, and the toilets on their Dreamliners have electronic bidets. Towards Europe or the Middle East, Turkish has outstanding food and has always credited me with miles.

Yelp
Sorry to be a debbiedowner, but on the 380 economy, their seats suck....too tight, and it matters not that this is the largest plane in the world....but for the Singapore girls, who are in a word, gorgeous, the flight is a mediocre experience (read: stuffy, crowded and hot)--you are trapped in this silver tube for hours and hours, and frankly, I wouldn't have minded if there was just a few more inches of room.......I felt like I was going to have a panic attack at every turn..in fact, my partner did...just horrible...

Yelp
This is a review of their KrisFlyer program which is the worst that I've come across. A few months ago I got an e-mail saying that my miles would expire in December, 2012. No problem, I thought, I'm taking a flight at the end of November and so my miles would not expire. But no, the miles are going to expire and will be lost forever. The way that this "program" works is that miles expire after three years. You can pay a fee and get them to live for six more months. But they must be used in 3.5 years. So you need to accumulate enough miles for a free trip, and use the miles in 3 years. Trips from the US to Singapore start at 75,000 for Saver fares (whatever that might mean) and 150,000 miles for an Economy award and go up to 1.25 million miles for a first class seat. The chances are slim with the miles expiring in 3 years that anyone except very frequent travelers will ever get an award. No doubt the people at SQ purposely made the miles expire knowing that most people would never get an award. The "answer" to this dilemma is for customers to place no value on their PissFlyer miles and to compare "no miles Singapore" to other carriers that keep miles alive as long as you fly every one or two years. It's a pity that this is the suckiest program that I've ever come across. The rest of the SQ flying experience is very good.

Yelp
I had a very bad experience with Singapore Airlines in my attempts to get a refund for tickets I purchased for tickets from New York to Singapore for 5 days and then to Tokyo. I am very concerned about the corona virus outbreak in both countries and do not want to put my family at risk. The airline outsources its customer service issues. I spoke with two people in the Philippines and two people in India for a total of four hours. The first person I spoke to told me that I would be credited for the entire amount of the tickets and there would be no fees or penalties and that he would email me the information. I did not receive a response and I continue calling people. The last person told me that there was a fee involved of $1200 for 3 people which directly contradicts what I was told originally. What I was told was untrue and I was not informed about it and only discovered it when I spoke to the 4th person. This is highly unethical. Toby Marlow

Yelp
Fantastic I would give you 6 star if I had that option. Keep it up. Go Singapore Airlines.

Yelp
Flew economy for years to Europe. This reminds me of some of the better flights I had in the 80s. Almost constant service (which for my young son was excellent). Charging ports, extensive videos, enough legroom for a 5'-10" man, blankets pillows, decent enough meals. Lots of those hot towels, I didn't know they still did that. I don't need them, but earbuds, travel socks, toothbrush handed out. Courteous and responsive service always. When I travel economy I don't need much, something to munch on, something to drink, and wine was included as well. I would love it if my kid would sleep on the redeyes, maybe I should have asked them about that.

Yelp
Love it, love it, love it. When it comes to flying this is the top of the food chain. And I have flown Asiana business class and Korean Air first class, two other carriers highly rated for their customer service and comfort. Value wise, it's a dream to fly economy on Singapore Airlines with their updated, comfortable planes with entertainment consoles and superior customer service. They are always ahead of the curve in thinking about the customer and improving the flight experience and was one of the first carriers to offer in flight entertainment consoles in economy class. Singapore Airlines also has competitive rates for the route I usually fly and for everything you get is definitely the best value. Everything good you hear about this airline is true and I only wish more airlines would model themselves after Singapore Airlines (you hear that Iberia????)

Ester B.

Yelp
They are efficient. The food is pretty good. They do not cancel flights often. However, if you want to change your flight, good luck. It is almost impossible to do it over the phone.

Yelp
The 59th street office no longer offers in-person ticketing service. You must take care of all ticketing needs online or their 800 customer service line.
