Very nice experience with my family enjoying the fireworks at night - The process is smooth and supported by friendly staff - Views are breathtaking over sentirás island and the harbor. Booking tickets in advance is a plus to avoid queues in crowded days

I believe it's a must do when visiting Singapore. The Cable Car allows you to get a scenic view of the Harbour and Sentosa Island from above. I would suggest to get a day pass so that you can do the round trip at your ease!

Google
It's a great way to reach Sentosa island. They have new glass floor cars too but I was too scared to try them. This gets busy very quickly so buy tickets ahead of time.

Google
Such a cool way to get to and from sentosa, highly recommend doing the cable car atleast once. If you get nervous at heights like me, its actually really high up, but still incredible to see singapore from a birds eye view!

Google
Great way to travel to Sentosa Island ! We got on at the Harbour front stop but went on both lines throughout the day. The ticket is excellent value for money because you could ride all day. The view from the cable cars is excellent and definitely should not be missed

Google
Very enjoyable ride, especially if one is lucky enough to get the whole car for themself. The views are great, although I would appreciate them more if the weather was better (it was cloudy and raining). I bought the tickets online (Sentosa line + Mount Faber line combo), which was cheaper and faster than getting them at the ticketing counter.

Absolutely loved our weekend ride on the Sentosa Cable Car—an unforgettable experience that made every dollar of the $35 family ticket worth it. We started from HarbourFront MRT, just a short walk to the cable car station, and from the moment we stepped into the cabin, the adventure kicked in. The ride to Mount Faber Peak was smooth, calm, and had that little touch of thrill that comes with gliding quietly over the city. The views? Stunning. You get to see the ships docked at the harbour, the green stretch of Mount Faber, and the lush Sentosa coastline—all in one sweeping panorama. The real magic, though, was sharing this with my wife and our 2-year-old. Our little one was wide-eyed the whole time, pointing out the cable cars passing by and squealing whenever we went over a tower. Despite the cloudy, rainy skies, the breeze made it even more special. Quiet, cool, and peaceful—a perfect escape from city life without leaving the city. We made a round trip—first to Mount Faber, then across to Sentosa, and back again. Even on a rainy day, it was still super family-friendly and just the right mix of relaxing and exciting. The journey gave us enough time to soak in the views without feeling rushed, and the cabins felt safe and well-maintained. If you’re looking for a weekend activity that’s easy, scenic, and toddler-approved, this is it. Highly recommend it to any family wanting to do something a little different in Singapore. The Sentosa Cable Car is more than just a ride—it's a beautiful experience in the sky.

Singapore Cable Car offers stunning views of the city and Sentosa, making it a fun and unique way to travel. The ride is smooth, the cabins are clean and air-conditioned, and the views—especially at sunset—are unforgettable. Great for all ages!

Yelp
It was nice, but not worth the price. Felt like the ride was too short. Compare prices with Klook before booking on their website.

Yelp
We had round trip tickets for the cable car, so we got to see the views both during the day and at night. The cars were virtually empty at night, which made for a fun spooky experience. I heard that people were recently stranded on these cable cars, which sounds even more fun and spooky but unfortunately did not happen to us. It was very scenic and a cool public transportation experience because we had to use it to get to and from Sentosa island instead of going purely for the views. The transfer process between the two cable car lines was confusing because there weren't any signs pointing to the other station you need to walk to once you get off one line.

Yelp
We took a taxi to Mount Faber in order to take a cable car trip to Sentosa. After waiting a fair amount of time in front of the ticketing office and for the cable car itself we got in. The trip is a nice relaxed way to get to Sentosa with nice views en route. On the way back we decided take the monorail back to the mainland, although the returnees included inter ticket.

Yelp
It was great using the two cable car lines to get into Sentosa island. We bought our tickets ahead online as it was recommended and cheaper than at the ticket counter. We got to see a little bit of the Harbor and surrounding areas. The ride was smooth and felt safe. There were two benches inside the cable car to fix about 6 people, not 8. Windows opened inside. What I didn't like was the cable cars had no AC for a hot and humid day! I wished the floors were made of glass to see the bottom. We got unlimited day passes to use the cable cars. I thought it was worth it to purchase and experience. [29/100]

Yelp
At first look at the ticket prices, I wondered if it's worth it. But after the ride, I think it was. Great views from the air and stops along the way let you experience places that you might not usually. Like Universal Studios Singapore. We didn't go inside the park as it seems like it's more for the kids. But outside the park is cool to walk around and check out the booths/shops. I would suggest to pay a little extra and do the Santusa leg as you get extra stops along the way.

Yelp
Purchased tickets via Klook. Just show your voucher in app and you're given your tickets at the counter. No fuss! that's why I liked using the Klook app! Last time I purchased tickets from a different vendor and compared to that, this time with Klook was a breeze! We took the cable car from Harborfront and got off Imbiah lookout to catch the ride to Sentosa. From there, you can walk to the other attractions! The SEA Aquarium, Madame Tussauds, the soon to be extinct Sentosa Merlion, and Universal Studios. This is a must try when in Singapore!

Yelp
Although I still consider Banff's cable car as the best one I ever had, I still had a good time with friends when we hopped on to the Singapore cable car ride. This is one of the many things you can do while visiting Sentosa. It was a smooth ride and nothing to be scared of. I, for one, is scared of heights but no worries, I truly enjoyed the ride as I got myself preoccupied looking at the beautiful sceneries, not just of Sentosa but other parts of the city as well. Read this part carefully because we messed up and failed to make the most out of what we paid for. We bought a round trip ticket and hopped on. We thought we have to stay in our car the entire time going to and from our original destination. None that we know, we can get off, explore, and hop back in. Too late to realize, we messed up. We passed up the opportunity to get off Mount Farber, the second highest hill in Singapore, and explore the area. So my advice, plan your trip to make the most of it (even if I didn't). Just sharing so you won't commit the same mistake we had and missed out. You're welcome.

Yelp
Awesome and good to view Singapore day or evening. Be a tourist and a great way to check out Sentosa and Harbourfront. It's good to take a few times with friends or family or yourself.

Yelp
It's a cool view... hot in the cable cars... kind of lame... but the bathroom was beautiful

Yelp
There are a couple of stops on this ride. It's not a cable car a la San Francisco. Rather, they're enclosed pods that move across the sky via cables. Probably not for acrophobics. The views are fantastic from the cars. They're fun to ride in circles even. I took the cable car to Sentosa from the mainland. It was pretty easy. They even had a package deal that included the cable car tickets and a bus tour in Sentosa.

Yelp
I must say, after riding a fair number of cable cars, this is one of my favorite so far. For those who like some bounce and excitement in their cable car ride, I would recommend checking this one out. Not only does it offer a pretty decent view of the city, but you can also see Sentosa as well during your journey! For around $29, you get to have a round trip starting from Mt. Fabler all the way to Sentosa + the new sections. In total, it takes almost an hour for the entire cable car ride. Beware, if you are prone to motion sickness and such, I do recommend taking your medications beforehand since the ride does get some bounce (especially if there's wind and such) and often sways a bit when changing elevation. The cable car itself is decent size and can comfortable hold up to 4-6 people. For the view itself, try going on a day that's clear! That way, you can see the ocean with the city view and the little boats below, as well as Sentosa. I really did like the views and the queues weren't too long when my friends and I had to re-board for the transfers. Overall, if you're new to Singapore, I would suggest checking out the cable car if you have time. It's quick and fun, and fairly priced for a tourist attraction.

Yelp
My bf was pretty eager to ride the cable car during the day so as to take better photos of the view, but we couldn't fit it into our already packed itinerary, so we ended up taking it back at night. Good thing though, because we got the Adult Promotion Entry Pass, SG Cable Car - Night Rider for only $39 for 2 people! Included an Angry Birds popcorn and a free gift if we went to The Jewel Box. The view overlooking all the twinkly lights over the bay was quite nice. Unfortunately, our cameras didn't take very good night shots, so we had to try to enjoy the view with our eyes only. The annoying Angry Birds song was playing on a small flat-screen in the cable car. I wasn't super in awe of the cable car, as I've ridden plenty of them in Switzerland, but what did amaze me was how we got the whole cable car to ourselves instead of having to share with other riders. That was nice. The car could have easily fit 8 peeps. We got off at HarbourFront and actually exited the building, completely forgetting about our gift, and then I realized and made my tired and hungry bf go back in to get the gift. So we got back in the cable car, went to Mount Faber, and discovered that The Jewel Box was nothing more than a bunch of fancy restaurants that we would not be patronizing. If this was Mount Faber Leisure Group's way of directing traffic there, then it didn't make any sense at all, because sweaty, casually dressed tourists would not be entering a fancy restaurant for dinner. Plus, the "free gift" was just some apple juice in a plastic sippy cup. Angry Birds-themed again. So lame. I wanted to bring the cups back to Switzerland, just because we went through so much trouble to get them, but alas, they did not fit into our small luggage, so we left them at the hotel for hopefully someone else to enjoy. So all-in-all, we rode the cable car three times and got: one plain one, one decked out with fake flower garlands, and one with Angry Birds design on the bench and also a huge (and somewhat dirty-looking) plush doll on the seat. I'm not sure if the Angry Birds promotion helped or hindered the whole experience. I thought it was cute, but a bit commercial.

Yelp
Great views, well maintained, good airflow with windows open. A great way to take in all the sights from above! Don't be deterred by the cost. You can spend all day going up and enjoying Sentosa and Mt. Faber. Just make sure to buy your tickets before you get to the actual cable car window. Throngs of people get dropped off from tour buses there and you will be in line forever. I got my ticket in the mall as soon as I exited the metro and the price was exactly the same as it was at the cable car window. You can actually get tickets at the airport for the same price as well. Just make sure to go online and see what the going rate is before you pay for anything. I got my ticket for the aquarium at the airport and bypassed another huge line when I went there. Note that the walk to the aquarium from the cable car drop off point is neither straightforward or short. Stop and ask all along the way so you don't waste time being lost or overheat in the sun! Bring sunscreen! If there's a chance of rain in the forecast, always carry an umbrella with you. The first day that we visited Sentosa it poured for 45 minutes as we were trying to leave.
google avatar

Shirley M. F.

Yelp
I walked through this mall to get to Mt. Faber. Meandering through the mall, I see it's a typical mall . . . Following the signs leading to Mt. Faber- Ooof~I don't know about Mt. Faber's Sky Ride: I was stuck in the Sky Ride for about thirty minutes screaming for someone to get me off the ride!!! A man on the intercom comforted me telling me to be calm-he's fixing the Sky Ride's computer glitch~REALLY? Dude, I'm 300 feet in the sky and you want me to remain calm???!! Ooof~Worst of the worst experience, I forgot to go to the bathroom before leaving the mall!! Waaaah!!!

Yelp
Singapore review #2 When visiting Singapore, you do what the tourists do, right? Well, hell yeah! A ride on the cable car over to Sentosa Island was the plan for the day, so we head to the cable car station. It is a bit pricey, SG $25 (round trip) when we were there, but it's now SG $29 - about US $21.50. There are 3 stations: Mount Faber, Harbor Front and the Merlion station on Sentosa. It takes just 12 minute go from Mt Farber to Merion. We buy our tickets and get in the "queue". As we're waiting I see this sign and chuckle with surprise. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/singapore-cable-car-ride-singapore#iQoI5NbpSEoXLH58qmdi7A I see "no open fires" and "No Durian". I understand the no durian part. SIDE NOTE: If you've never heard of durian, it's a very unique fruit native to Southeast Asia. Even when the husk is intact, it has a very distinctive, overpowering and revolting odor. Yes I have tried it and it was surprisingly tasty, but I cannot "turn off" my nose long enough to eat it and enjoy it. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/singapore-cable-car-ride-singapore#e2x1P9pOb8mUnBmzHxIaAQ OK back to my review. We are just about to load the gondola. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/singapore-cable-car-ride-singapore#KH-sJuKj4Bvie8eorZFWVA Once we're in the gondola, it catches the fast moving cable and we're off @ 13 ft/sec. We have breathtaking views of this part of Singapore, the harbor and Sentosa Island. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/singapore-cable-car-ride-singapore#QGrUVv_vyl4sjU31ER_kTQ http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/singapore-cable-car-ride-singapore#Sn4K-lLAdp3Tq-YW9y0L2A We pass over a docked cruise ship, very interesting to see from above! http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/singapore-cable-car-ride-singapore#n7A3a8HzMAZXcPhmIXTT0A http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/singapore-cable-car-ride-singapore?select=gn98Y9i8Fqag82ValSZqYg OVERALL: I suppose it the price isn't too bad if you average it out, less than a US $1 per minute, round trip. Well I guess it's not that cheap, but the views during the ride are pretty spectacular... so I guess it's worth it!

Yelp
Its hard to imagine the Mt Faber to Harbourfront to Sentosa cable car is already 38 years old. I am just slightly older, dang. Kids these days wont know, but back then there was only two ways to get to Sentosa. The ferry from the then World Trade Centre (Harbourfront) or the cable car. I've been lucky enough to travel on every generation of the cable cars since. Even after the sad disaster in 83, it did not stop me from jumping on one the moment they re-opened. Back in 99, the world's first glass-bottomed cable car cabins were introduced. These days, practically all scenic cable car rides all over the world have followed suit. To me, its the only and best way to enjoy Mt Faber to Sentosa and back. Do it in the evenings just before the sun sets. Sit back, relax and soak in Singapore.

Yelp
I really want to give this place a fully deserved 5 stars, my only gripe is just that the ride isn't long enough & lack of things to see, such as the entire western ridges. Service was great! We have paid for the rides and afterwards, we found out about family membership for 4 at $135 for a year, and they allow us to top up to get that membership for a year. The staff managed to settle everything real quick for me. That is what I called efficient service. The new Sentosa ride was also fun since I get to sit on the cable car and see the beach from high up. I went on an overcast day, hence it was not hot at all. I wonder how the cable rides will be like on a scorching hot day, like any other day in Singapore, since there is no fan or air condition in the cable car itself.

Yelp
Recently updated, very well run operation. Neat way to get to Sentosa Island while seeing sights, and tons of shipping. Only $15SG, so not a bad price at all.

Yelp
Dubbed as "Singapore's Original Joyride", the Singapore Cable Car ride has seen its fair share of ups and downs throughout its lifetime. Started off as one of the world's longest gondola rides back in the 70s, witnessed a tragedy in the 80s and is now a modernized fully-functional gondola ropeway. Don't worry, it's safe now. The cable car system has three terminals - Harbourfront Tower 2, Mount Faber and Sentosa Island. The Harbourfront terminal is the most easily accessible one if you're staying in Singapore proper. It's a 10 minute walk from the Harbourfront Metro (most of the walk is indoors through the Metro terminal and a mall). We bought round-trip tickets for the cable car, which basically allowed us to go to Mount Faber (which is one direction) and then to Sentosa Island (which is in another direction) and then back to Harbourfront. The adult round trip ticket costs S$29. This may seem a little pricey, but the fact that you can visit two places with a roundtrip and amazing views of the island makes it a justifiable. Besides, think of all the awesome engineering that has gone into this! The ride to Mount Faber is alright, nothing too spectacular. You disembark on a terminal situated at the top of a hill and get some good panoramic views of the city. There isn't much to do at Mount Faber. You have your characteristic gift shop, a rooftop restaurant, and some walking trails through rich dense foliage. The ride from Mount Faber to Sentosa Island is pretty awesome. It's long, has a big elevation change and gives you great views of the harbour front and cute aerial views of Sentosa. If theme parks and attractions are your cup of tea, then what better way to enter an island of theme parks than on a theme park ride itself! The really neat thing about the ride was that we (a party of 3) got a whole "car" to ourselves (which could normally otherwise seat about 6). Did I enjoy the overall experience? Absolutely! Would I take the cable car to Sentosa if I were to visit Singapore again? Only if I was with other people who haven't been on it before. Basically, this is like one of things that are nice to do just once.

Yelp
One of the best things to do in Singapore! The cable ride to Sentosa island provides amazing views of Singapore and Sentosa island and is best seen at dusk! The ride is very accessible via cab or MRT and should be a to do item on any tourists' checklist!
google avatar

Raymond L.

Yelp
This is the best way to get to Sentosa, but a lot more expensive. The cable car ride has been upgraded recently, and now features cabins with more glass so you can see more of the Singapore landscape as you ride. The view is just amazing, and everyone who comes to Singapore should try it at least once. It's most convenient to hop on at Harbourfront, and take the cable car to Mount Faber to explore the park, or go over to Sentosa. Try to avoid taking the cable car during hot afternoons as the cabins aren't air conditioned. I rode the cable car with Angry Birds! It's an ongoing promotion till December this year. It's definitely a little scary especially for first-timers. But there should be nothing to worry about.

Yelp
I love the thrill of cable car rides. Especially on a rainy day. Phew!! I admit that my purpose of paying almost $30 for the ride was never for the view, but like I'd mentioned earlier, the thrill. The view is nothing spectacular. Neither we Singaporeans here have nice snowcapped mountains nor do we have any other nice landscapes to look at. But the excitement when the car moves out above the sea is a feeling to experience. Aside from going to its most popular destination, Sentosa Island, this ride can also lead you to Mount Faber Park which was quite an experience too. But that's another story. What I love most about these 'joyrides' (as they called it) is that they have occasional themes. I realised I still keep a few snaps of the time I rode it during Singapore's National Day. The recent one we went to were of superheroes theme. The tickets also gifted us with free superhero masks.

Amanda G.

Yelp
It was so fun for my little boy to ride. He could ride the cable car for the whole day and didn't want to get out. We went through all the stations and saw different views above the sky. We loved it.
google avatar

Jennie L.

Yelp
Breathtaking 360 degrees, bird's eye view of Singapore and Sentosa Island. It is a bit pricey (~$26 for roundtrip tickets), but we got a $38 Sentosa package deal that included this and 2x Segway tours, the Luge Ride, the SkyRide, and the Roundtrip tickets for the Jewel Box Cable Car Ride from a Travel agency store on Orchard. So it was definitely a good deal! The views were amazing in both the afternoon going to Sentosa Island, and the night time on the way back to Singapore Island. If you are only visiting Singapore for a bit and want to see Sentosa, go on the Cable Car Ride! (The other option is the Sentosa Express for $4 at VivoCity) The only negative point was that it was pretty hot inside the cable cars. There isn't an AirCon system inside, but it is bearable.
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
The purpose of the cable car ride is so that you can see the views of Singapore and Sentosa Island. However, it's pretty pricey about $25 for an adult ticket. It goes pretty quick and personally, I didn't think it was worth the price though, personally. Make sure you go on a clear day as well, cloudy day and you practically wasted your money.
google avatar

Nick L.

Yelp
I love cable cars and this is a good one. Great views. Whilst obviously not the cheapest way to Sentosa, it's one of the best ways.
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
I heard Sentosa was a must check out while in Singapore and a good way to do it especially if you have zero desire to do any of the carnival stuff or theme parks would be the Singapore Cable Car Ride. My friend knew she'd be having other visitors throughout the year so she became a member which was only S$6 more than the cost of one ride and it got me on for a discounted rate. There are two loops one on Sentosa with three stops and one from Sentosa to Mt Faber also with three stops. We ended up on the Sentosa side 1st and there were beautiful views of the island, ocean and Singapore. Than we went to the Sentosa to Mt Faber loop we got off at Mt Faber and walked up to the center, the view is gorgeous defiantly get off a take a walk around Mt Faber. It was smooth ride, staying on going through the enter and exit part were slow though but other than that really enjoyable.

Yelp
I hate being the party pooper - but I was aghast at how expensive the Singapore Cable Car was. SGD26 per adult and SG15 for kids. You can pick up the cable car (it's just like a ski lift gondola) after a walk outside from the Harbourfront MRT. You may think you're going the wrong way because there isn't clear signage. It's a lovely ride, and I think it would be particularly nice to have a drink at the top of Mt. Faber. Also, descending on Sentosa and seeing the water park below is quite fun. There's a nice view with the trading port activity on one side and the ocean on the other. There are also two other ways to get to Sentosa. Walking across the bridge/boardwalk and taking the pastel-colored MRT Sentosa Express monorail (also from the Harbourfront MRT). All three are fun ways to make your approach into Sentosa...
google avatar

Pourio L.

Yelp
If you want to get a pretty cool view of part of Sentosa Island and have a little cash to spend, make sure to take the cable car ride across Singapore into Sentosa. The cable car ride is up a hill that you're going to want to a cab to take you up and after deciding to spend (in my opinion overpriced) $25/person, then you go up through the gift shop and wait for the cable car to swing by to jump in to. The ride itself is a bit short but I pretty much went to Singapore assuming everything here is a bit shorter (time-wise). It's a good one-time thing. I doubt I'd ever go on the cable car ride again if I ever go back to Singapore because it is pretty pricey and the views aren't amazing, and even less so if it's super cloudy (I went on a rainy day... but then again, when does Singapore not have a rainy day?). You definitely don't need to ride the cable car to get into Sentosa. I think this is more of a tourist thing because I didn't see anyone besides our group riding the cable car ride but the island was crowded.
google avatar

Simon Y.

Yelp
Amazing way to travel and abject all its very safe we went on a cloudy thunderstorm day and we were never scared. The service itself it efficient and highly recommended when traveling to sentosa!

Chloe T.

Yelp
Old and poorly maintained interior. Don't waste money on their sky dining which is a scam with low quality food. The mediocre view does not compensate in any way for it.
google avatar

John G.

Yelp
A must do for anyone who comes to Singapore. Fantastic view over the water and onto Sentosa. I hadn't been to Mt Faber since the 1960's and although it's much more built up than the old days I still remembered the winding road up to the top and the great views.
google avatar

Colin P.

Yelp
Awesome views from the cable car. The ride is pretty high up in the air. A definite must ride into Sentosa.
