An interesting tour, but with a few drawbacks. You can buy your ticket online, but you can't choose your seat. Even with an online ticket, you have to stop by the ticket booth in Suntec City mall for confirmation. Then your seat is automatically assigned to you. If you don't have a seat on the outside row, the one next to the board, you can't take decent pictures. In addition, if you sit on the last row of seats, you don't really hear any of the information given by the guide, even if he uses a microphone and speakers. Everything is jamed by the loud engine noise. In addition, in those seats, there is also a strong smell of exhaust fumes.

We took the Singapore Duck Tour in the last week of June and had a mostly enjoyable time. Highlights of these tours are always the water segment. The cruise through Marina Bay had fantastic views of the Merlion, the Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay Sands Hotel, and the Gardens by the Bay. The view of the skyline from the water is particularly beautiful. Take note, if you’re seated near the sides of the boat, you may get splashed when the vehicle enters the water. It’s not a big deal, but something to keep in mind. The boat’s motor is very loud. The guide does use a microphone so most of us could hear him. But there were times when it was difficult. The street portion of the tour was short. We passed around the Parliament building and the Padang before returning. Since it was close to National Day, we did get to see the grandstands and army vehicles out for parade rehearsals. Still, I would’ve liked to see more of the city. The tour runs about 50 minutes and cost S$45. I recommend booking the 5 PM slot when it’s a bit cooler. After the tour you can head to Suntec City or the nearby area for dinner.

Google
Duck Tour was fun! I’ve been in Singapore for 37 years and this is my first time here — and it was really fun!

Directions to meeting point was bad. Should not stop at burray but spend more time at satay hawkers.

A fun and interesting activity to do. It takes around 50 minutes with 2 parts, best part is on the water of course. Nice view for the most iconic places of Singapore. Travelling with my 72+ years old mom without any issue taking this and she liked it a lot. And kids will love it fpr sure! (So do people who are kid-at-heart 😅 ) The guide on duty at 3pm tour on Feb 1, 2025 is also super nice. Recommend to purchase the ticket online in advance during peak season/public holiday as it might be sold out on the day.

If you haven’t heard of it before, the Singaporean Duck Tour is a well-known tour vehicle that starts on land, goes into water and ends up back on land. Boarding is at Suntec City. After a short while of driving towards the river, there is a brief moment of anxiety as the tour guide amps up the atmosphere preparing you for the exciting bump where the vehicle goes from land to river. Once on the river, the views are incredible! As you cruise, you get to see different angles of Marina Bay Sands Hotel, the Durian (Esplanade Theatres), Gardens by the Bay, Merlion and Singapore Flyer - all of Singapore’s iconic landmarks Finally, you go back onto land and the vehicle drives around showing other sites such as the Old Supreme Court, the War Memorial Park and much more. As you leave the bus, they encourage you to ring the bell. It was a fun way of exploring the beautiful sights of Singapore. PS:- Highly recommended for experiencing this super fun ride.

Enjoyed my 11 am Duck tour on the DUKW Katrina on Sat 22 Feb 2025. The tour departed on time for the waterborne part before returning to land for the landward section. Our guide was very nice and took the initiative a few times to go around snapping pictures for Duck Tour participants. Bonus points for the free Duck stickers if you answered the trivia questions correctly. Captain Tan maneuvered our DUKW Katrina very well, so much that there wasn't any water splashing onto participants when we entered the water at Marina Barrage. Fulfilled a childhood dream today thanks to Duck Tours

Google
First time doing the Ducktours. Such an interesting ride! Lasted around an hour, 2/3 of the time on the waters and 1/3 on land. The guide shared and introduced the various places of interests throughout the journey. She also gave quizzes and prizes (a set of cute duck stickers). The vehicle is rather old and very noisy 😅

Yelp
Both my boyfriend and I enjoyed the ducktour a lot! This was my first time going on a ducktour and it was an interesting experience. Our tourguide (unfortunately I forgot the name) was very friendly and funny and he explained the history of different attractions in Singapore throughout the tour. Got a lot of great photos that I would've not been able to get on land otherwise!

Yelp
It's nice to be a tourist for a day! Hopped onto the Duck Tour, an tour on land and along Singapore River for an hour. You will get to see the Singapore Flyer, ArtScience Museum, The Floating Stadium, Helix Bridge, The Esplanade, The Merlion, Marina Bay Sands Hotel, View of Singapore's CBD area, Gardens by the Bay and The Flower Dome. It's a good way to see a glimpse of Singapore's main places of attraction before you decide to visit any of them. Tips: ~ Sit at the front so that you can hear the commentary from the guide explaining the history of Singapore and the attractions as you cruise past

Yelp
Singapore tourism sure has its act together. They've combined all the tours into the same company so they can upsell, cross-sell, and basically offer all their packages under one roof. What it meant for us was one-stop shopping for all the touristy stuff Singapore has to offer. We opted for the most expensive package, as it was basically the cost of the DUCKtours and Singapore Flyer combined. Useful to also use the unlimited 3 routes of Hop on Hop off buses to get around for 2 days, but we didn't have time to also do the water taxi and museum visits. So we basically only took advantage of: the HiPPO River Cruise, the Hop on Hop off topless city sightseeing buses, the Singapore Flyer, the Singapore DUCKtour, and the bus to Sentosa (we took the cable car back on our own). $69 per adult gets you the following 12 tours & attractions: 1. The Singapore DUCKtours ($33) 2. Singapore Flyer ($30) 3. Topless City Sightseeing Tour 4. The Original Tour 3. HiPPO River Cruise 4. Bumble Bee Water Taxi 5. Sentosa & 2 Integrated Resorts Rhino Feeder 6. Chinatown Heritage Centre 7. Asian Civilisations Museum 8. Singapore Art Museum 9. Singapore Philatelic Museum 10. Botanic/Orchid Garden

Yelp
Is it worth it? For both tourists and locals, I'd say yes! For me, the true value is in the water part of the tour, because you get to go into the reservoir and get some unique shots of attractions like The Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay Sands, ArtScience Museum, and the Merlion. The land tour was just okay, just a quick overview of the civic district. James, our tour guide, spoke slowly and clearly, and had some good factoids about Singapore that not even I knew about. My mom and I bought the Duck and Singapore Flyer ticket combo. At the price of $67 per person (May 2016) you only save $3. But it does come with a free one-way transfer on one of the hop on/hop off buses so you can easily get to the Flyer after your Duck Tour. Other things to note: - The guide will take a photo of you and your party on your own cameras halfway through the tour, free of charge. - No food/drink allowed, but water should be okay. It's hot as hell, after all. - Guess it depends on what day you go, but I didn't get a breeze, even though we were cruisin' in the water. Prepare to sweat it out. - It doesn't matter which side you sit on; the duck will do a u-turn in the reservoir so both sides will be able to get good photos of everything during the water tour.

Yelp
Need to beware of a few things here. First of all, *don't* sit anywhere near the back, as the engine is way too loud to hear much. Because the engine is so loud, the tour guide often repeats material on the way back (which I didn't mind since I missed so much). Also beware of the Sentosa package, because there can be a long line (1hr for the very short Segway ride) for things on a busy day, and the individual events can close 1hr before actually closing time. Not a nice surprise! Audio problems notwithstanding, it *is* nice to relax and take in all the sights and get some narration about the city. Our tour guide was a trip! You could title her monologue "Grandma's Advice on Money" in Singapore. As she went on, I found it more and more entertaining although with a tinge of sadness in what it might imply about the culture. Conveniently located next to Esplanade MRT and Suntec Mall, where it's easy to get a bite or pick up some groceries/sundries at the Giant Hyper market. Price was higher than I would've expected, but I guess things get expensive when paying for the whole family.

Yelp
I enjoyed the the ride around the city via the water. Views were beautiful. Great opportunity to take photos of the city from the water. My only criticism, the motor is very loud and it was incredibly difficult to hear the commentary. Would recommend this but sit up front away from the motor. B

Yelp
We just had a poor service experience with Hippo tours. Be aware that if you buy the HippoPass Card along with your tour that not all attractions accept the card and you must obtain attraction tickets through Hippo/Duck Tours directly or at random locations. This would have been fine had they informed us. We were not provided the pass guidebook or told this information even though we specifically asked about it. (We were only provided the tour map and coupon book, neither of which had this info. BTW - this info is not explained in their website either as far as I could find. In fact they say part of the value of the card is that you DO NOT have to get tickets.) We showed up at Skypark in the evening & had to alter our plans. When we provided this feedback to the Suntec location they essentially accused us of lying. That they MUST have provided us the info and guidebook. They did not. We were just giving them service feedback and not asking for anything - but they did not apologize and continued to assert that they MUST have given us the guidebook/information. Very poor customer service experience. Too bad - because the tour itself was great! Customer service tip - don't accuse your customer who just spent $300 SG with you of lying. Honestly one of the worst customer service interactions I've had in my life.

Yelp
As in any city, the ducktour hop-on hop-off is one of the best ways to see Singapore. The tours are well designed and perfect for anyone wanting to see Singapore completely and with the minimum of hassles. Packages are reasonable and there is a tour for everyone including city tour, heritage tour, and duck tour!

Yelp
We often see many tourists on the Duck and Hippo tours and i'm sure many of you have laughed at them and commented on how overpriced the tickets are. But have you really experienced it for yourself? Well, it's actually pretty fun. We chartered a Hippo Tour for the New Year countdown and it brought us from Clarke Quay to berth at the Marina Bay, right in front of Marina Bay Sands and that's where we experienced the majestic fireworks just above our heads. This is possibly the best spot to catch the NYE fireworks minus the crowd. The HIPPO River Cruise allows passengers to explore the various sections along the river. You don't have to wait too long for the next ride as they come in 25min frequency. Simply book your tickets online and pick them up at the river kiosks at Clarke Quay or at the counter at Suntec Galleria. It's quite cool to be a tourist sometimes. You'll get to see a side of Singapore that you didn't appreciate before.

Yelp
I absolutely loved the Ducktour I went on this morning. My family and I sat at the front so we could hear everything our guide had to say. She was extremely knowledgeable and recited everything from memory, which was incredible! It was very cool to be in a vehicle that's capable of driving itself into water. The tour was very informative and fun. I definitely recommend trying it, whether you're a local or a visitor.

Yelp
A hop on/hop on bus open air double decker bus is a great way to see many of the points of interest. Having said that, Singapore really doesn't have any huge shout outs. I did enjoy the stop at the Raffles Hotel as one of my officlal legal drink was a Singpaore Sling cocktail. And the stop to the SAM was nice. Another stop would have been to the Botanical Gardens. Lots of folks waiting there for pick up. Pros - Three different bus loops for $33 Singapore dollars. Routes= city, heritage, and original. Covers quite a bit of ground. Each loop is an hour or more depending on traffic. You can decide when you want to do a cross over loop. Cons- Do you really want to get off? Or just take an quick peek as the bus rolls by. It's so darn hot. And the crowds for the number of buses suck. I thought the heritage route was the best. The other two just felt like hotel pickup and drop off. The original was the worst. 30 minutes between stops and nothing to see. As the day wore on, folks flocked below where you had AC and more comfy seats. The hub is at the Suntec City stop. So the bus sits there for 20-30 minutes depending on where you got on. Same with the Singapore Flyer stop. Of all the various drivers, only one made a point of talking on the PA. The other drivers let the audio do all the work. One driver actually zoomed past our stop so we stayed on the bus and crossed over to another loop. They offer other attractions so investigate to see what fits the itinerary.

Yelp
As some others have mentioned on here, the Hippo Pass Card was a waste of a purchase. NOT RECOMMENDED! We had bought the 5 event card thinking that we simply show up and show the card to get in..... what we found out later and that the reps selling the card did not inform us is that you must obtain tickets through Hippo/Duck tours directly or go to another random location to the park or tour you want to do. This cost us time and frustration!! We missed the Botanical Garden light show due to this as we arrived just in time for tickets or so we though only to find out that we were directed to another location to buy the tickets. My advice, buy tickets either directly through vendor/park or look online as sometimes there are discounts through park website for 10-15% off.

Yelp
The ducktours is a great way to take a visitor around Singapore. We bought the duck tours and flyer ticket. Even thought they tell you to line up for the duck about 10 min beforehand, everyone seems to be super "kiasu" (aka scared to lose) and would line up way before the tour departs. I would recommend lining up at least 15 min early. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and was able to recite the times of the water show in the esplanade and the times of the shows at Gardens by the Bay by heart. I was pretty impressed! His English was ok.

Yelp
Great option if you want to get a quick tour of Singapore and brief history (lasts about an hour). The tour starts out by driving from Suntec City and goes straight to the water. Here, you'll see the ferris wheel, the floating stage, Marina Bay Sands Hotel, a view of the Gardens by the Bay, and an up close view of the Merlion. After leaving the water, you will view Singapore by land and see various sites (which I cannot remember the names of) and a drive by the fountain of wealth. Overall, it is a cheap tour and you can learn and see a lot in a short amount of time. They have wifi available for people who purchase tour tickets while you are waiting to board the duck. You can skip out on buying the quacker, you don't use them :)

Yelp
We purchased a ticket for the night time tour. The tour itself was OK. I was disappointed in the person at the counter where we redeemed our certificated purchased online. We purchased in late November for a night time tour the first week in December. When we arrived at the counter we were told that we had to pay an additional $6 per person because the night tour included a light show during the holidays. It wasn't that $6 was all much but the attitude of the clerk. I explained that we had recently purchased and there was no mention of the light show (which was really good). They were not helpful and said that because I purchased the tickets thru TripAdvisor who is a third party vendor that we were out of luck. No help or good will here. Bottomline is that the tour itself was nice but the attitude of the staff was terrible.

Yelp
Nice tour but sat in the back and couldn't hear all the commentary that well. Been on many ducktours and this was by far the lightest on content..Bostons was best.. Definitely a must do if you are in Singapore!

Yelp
Great tour takes you everywhere!! You can see all of Singapore in 1 day!

Yelp
Not a ton to see in singapore. you are better off taking a cab to china town and little india. Or else your paying for a bus to show you all the malls and flee markets.

Roxanne C.

Yelp
Hop on Hop off Singapore (aka HIPPO). Beware they only take cash and it's 98 SGD for 2 people for a 48 hour pass, NO CREDIT CARDS. We hopped on way across town and this could have been a disaster but for some unknown reason we had this much money on us, though we had scrimp the rest of the day until we could get back to the hotel so it was a bit embarrassing. In all the world this is the only place I've run across a Hop On Hop Off that wouldn't take credit cards. The commentary is lacking, there is ALOT of dead time and music which is really unfortunate. The good thing is the one price is good for ALL the lines (red, blue, brown, green, yellow and black) so it makes it easy to get around. We never had to wait more than 10 - 20 minutes. Be sure to use your Hop On Hop Off ticket (black line) if you go to the Night Zoo. The zoo is VERY VERY VERY far away and it would cost a fortune by cab. The Night Zoo (called Night Safari) is included in your ticket price. We are glad we took the 6:00 bus to the zoo as it takes at LEAST an hour to get there. The buses return at 9:20, 9:40 and 10:00 so you're limited on time as it is. When you get to the Zoo, first take the walking tour so the Tram line will decrease (remember you're limited on time).
